From eight o'clock in the morning, Khaira was like a google map as a guide to where else Kevin run the task as the driver. His first destination was Malioboro.

Who does not know Malioboro? One of the main tourist destinations in the land of Java, has now become an inseparable icon of the city of Yogyakarta. The Malioboro area is located very strategically between Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat and Tugu Pal Putih.

For most tourists both local and foreign, Malioboro is no stranger as the most desirable shopping place in Yogyakarta. The pulse of trading activity is very pronounced in this place. However, the historical background of Malioboro is no less impressive.

Jalan Malioboro was established to coincide with the establishment of the Yogyakarta Palace. In Sanskrit, the word "malioboro" means wreath. It may have something to do with the past when the Kraton held a big event then Malioboro Street will be filled with flowers. The word malioboro is also derived from the name of a British colonial named Marlborough who had lived there in 1811-1816 AD.

The existence of Malioboro Street is inseparable from the concept of the city of Yogyakarta which is laid out in a north-south direction, with roads that lead to the corners of the wind and intersect perpendicular. The pattern is reinforced by the existence of an "imaginary axis" that stretches from north to south, with the palace as its midpoint.

"Poros" is manifested in the form of buildings, namely Tugu (Pal Putih) in the north, to the south in the form of Margatama (Mangkubumi) and Margamulya (Malioboro) roads, Kraton Yogyakarta, Jl. AT. Panjaitan, ending up on the Krapyak stage. If the starting point (Tugu) is forwarded to the north it will reach Mount Merapi, while if the end point (Krapyak Stage) is forwarded it will reach the Indian Ocean.

In the colonial era (1790-1945) the urban pattern was disrupted by the Dutch who built the Vredeburg fortress (1790) at the southern end of Malioboro road. In addition to building a Dutch fort also built Societeit Der Vereneging Djogdjakarta (1822), The Dutch Governor's Residence (1830), Javasche Bank and Post Office to maintain their dominance in Yogyakarta. The Dutch community in Yogyakarta has grown rapidly since the reign of Sultan Hamengkubuwana VII (1877 - 1921).

It is closely related to the growth and development of sugarcane plantations, various types of factories, banking, insurance, hospitality, and education. Rapid development also occurred at that time caused by trade between the Dutch and the Chinese. And also due to the division of land in the sub-segment of Malioboro Street by the Sultan to the Chinese community and then known as the District of China (Pecinan Region).

The development at that time was dominated by the Dutch in building facilities to improve their economy and power, such as the construction of Tugu Station by Staat Spoorweg (1887) on Malioboro Street, and the construction of Tugu Station, who physically managed to divide the path into two parts. Meanwhile, Malioboro street had an important role in the era of independence (post-1945), as the Indonesians fought to defend their independence in the north-south fighting along the way.*¹

Several times Kevin took pictures from a digital camera that he always hung in front of the chest. Not infrequently, Kevin asked the visitors to capture the most impressive moments together with his wife, if someday already have children, he said, so he thought about telling this story to his descendants.

In addition to traveling to Malioboro, and buy some souvenirs typical of Malioboro. Khaira invites Kevin to visit one of the cultural reserves that are still in a complex with Prambanan Temple.

"Will you go to Sewu Temple?" bargain Khaira after devouring a bowl of chicken noodles.

"May," replied Kevin, but then Kevin thought. "Isn't the more famous Prambanan temple?"

"Sewu temple is still one area with Prambanan Mas temple." Khaira explained.

"okay." Kevin's a beard, he's a nut. Who knows Jogja better is his wife.

After passing the trip, now Kevin and Khaira have arrived at the motorbike parking that has been provided. By paying an entrance ticket of 50 thousand for one person.

Kevin took Khaira's hand to pass through some plants and shady trees before entering the temple area in the afternoon. Kevin was confused as to why his wife asked him to wear a hat, as well as carrying a black folding umbrella. But yeah, as a man. Kevin thinks, if this wife is scared of black.

But before entering the temple area, because it had delayed the dhuhur prayer time, Khaira invited Kevin to go to the place of worship and perform the dhuhur prayer which was delayed, after that. They resumed their streets again, until the feet felt sore they did not ignore.

After entering the Sewu temple yard, Kevin just understood. What are the uses of a hat and a folding umbrella carried by his wife. Because visiting the temple during the day like this, the temple area will tend to feel hotter.

And Kevin also just understood Yogyakarta is not only known for its beautiful natural attractions. However, there are historical tours that are still popular to this day. If visitors usually go to Prambanan Temple for a tour, it would not hurt to stop by the temple which is north of Prambanan Temple, which is Sewu Temple. Sewu temple holds a lot of history and also the legend of Roro Jonggrang which is known by many people.

Historians say..

Candi Sewu is located in Prambanan Temple Complex, precisely on Jalan Raya Solo KM. 16 Klurakbaru, Tlogo, Kalasan, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Sewu Temple is 800 meters north of Prambanan Temple. It is not wrong if you visit Prambanan Temple, also see the elegance of Sewu Temple.

This temple is known as Candi Sewu. The word 'sewu' means thousand in Javanese. The naming of this temple is closely related to the legend of Roro Jonggrang and Bandung Bondowoso. Where to propose Roro Jonggrang, Bandung Bondowoso must make 1000 temples overnight. But based on the inscriptions found, the original name of this temple is Prasada Vajrasana Manjusrigrha.

Sewu Temple has a Buddhist style. Therefore, during the Syailendra Dynasty, Candi Sewu became the center of Buddhist worship. Unlike the Prambanan Temple which has a Hindhu pattern. Even so, these two temples together show that in ancient times, the creation of harmony between the two adherents of the religion.

Sewu Temple complex has a length of 185 meters from the north to the south side and a width of 165 meters from the east to the west side. Sewu temple has an entrance at each corner of the wind, namely north, south, west and east. However, it seemed like the main door was on the east side. At each entrance, guarded by a giant statue named Drawapala. This statue stands firmly with a height of 2 meters and facing each other. The Sewu Temple building is made entirely of andesite stone.

Although named Sewu Temple, originally there were only 249 temples here. Candi Sewu has a main temple surrounded by small temples. This main temple has a diameter of 29 meters and a height of 30 meters located in the middle. While the small temples that surround the main temple, called Candi Perwara and Candi Penjuru. Both types of this temple are in the outer court of the Main Temple. But unfortunately, both Candi Perwara and Candi Penjuru, many are not intact or in the form of chunks.

There are many activities to do in Candi Sewu. Visitors can walk around while looking around and photographing the temple at Candi Sewu. Or visitors can rent bicycles and travel around the Sewu Temple area to the Prambanan Temple area. The Sewu Temple Museum as an educational tour. In this museum, visitors will get more knowledge about Sewu Temple, the restoration of the temples, to the screening of historical films.*²

Just like in Malioboro, Kevin also captured this sweetest moment. He asked one of the visitors to take a picture.

And here's the result. Kevin was very happy, and so was Khaira.

"How Mas, still want to visit other aesthetic and historic tourist attractions in Jogja?" Khaira sits under a shady tree with a view of the splendor of the temple.

"Actually still, but the day after tomorrow I have to go back to the city. There are jobs that cannot be delayed." Kevin let out a long sigh, it felt very heavy if coming here did not trace every trace of prehistoric relics.

Khaira understands that her husband is very diligent in working, and does not want to disappoint the boss. "We can come next time, if you have some free time, who knows. We come here again when there's a baby's grandpa."

Kevin looked at his wife when he heard about the baby. "You mean, our son?"

Khaira smiled widely, then took a testpack from inside her bag that showed Kevin a red two-coloured line. "I'm pregnant."

"What kind of incredible surprise is this, I'm going to be a father?" Kevin immediately stood up and hugged his wife very tightly, to the point of turning Khaira's body. No matter the look of people.

Over a month Kevin married Khaira legally by religion and state law. Now his hard work in pounding the wife bore fruit.

"Thank you dear." said Kevin gratefully, then kissed Khaira on the forehead.

Khaira was wailing, she felt embarrassed to have become a spectacle. "Mas Kevin is ashamed, we've been such a spectacle." she whispered in her husband's ear.

Kevin does not care, he is very happy and excited and grateful to receive this good news. "I love you so much and our future debay." Kevin rubbed his wife's stomach still flat.
