Chapter 62: A Hunch

Day after day, Mauren was happy to start working, serving her husband and always calling her parents.

She calls her mother who always supports her every day.

But sometimes the mother worried about Mauren for fear that her son would not be accepted into the Adinata family.

"Orens. Let's go!" sean said he saw his wife daydreaming in front of the mirror.

They immediately got out of the apartment room and walked to the car.

Just as usual they use their respective cars so as not to expose their relationship.

Sean's heart ached, he was eager to beat Daren right then and there but he held back because he didn't want to make trouble.

"Sir Daren, I go first. There was an important need with my supervisor" said Mauren avoiding Daren and heading in the opposite direction.

Mauren glanced at Sean who was behind him, not wanting to make Sean jealous and angry.

Huh! Having a possessive husband is very troublesome. He should avoid prolonged contact with other men.

In Sean's room.

The sense of uneasiness had not disappeared completely, he was not concentrating today. He leaned back in his most expensive seat and his eyes looked at the ceiling of the room.

After that he slightly wiped his hand that was hit by rain water and that was when the driver drove his car slowly.

Mama Sean looked forward with a haughty look while Mauren began to be confused because she did not know the purpose of Mama Sean.

"Connect Sean! You don't deserve to be with him"

Mauren's heart ached hearing that remark, she still fell silent unwilling to answer.

"Well, this. You can fill this check all you want but you have to get out of Sean's life" Mama Sean said, handing out 2 blank cheques to Mauren sitting next to him.

Mauren fell silent unwilling to accept it, while Mama Sean was furious about throwing the check in Mauren's face.

"It's so arrogant of you! This is what you want, right? You approached Sean just looking at his treasure, didn't you? You're using my son because he's rich and number 1 in this country, right? Huh! You girls don't know themselves!"

Mauren was silent and as if her gaze was blank facing the front.

"You're just a vegetable-seller at a traditional market. Even your parents had problems with Sean's grandfather. I've been investigating everything about you"

Mauren was still speechless not to comment on Mama Sean's remarks. His heart ached hearing all this. Moreover, his parents felt demeaned.
