CHAPTER 71

"Baron where, Rik?!" arita shouted amidst her fear. The woman's body trembled violently, having found Danu's actions. While the man who carried his body, did not answer the question at all.

Several times, the sound of gunfire was heard by Riko's men, trying to fool Danu. The atmosphere grew tense, as Arita heard Danu's voice screaming in pain.

"Riko–"

"Close your eyes, and don't speak" the man said, lowering his head. As soon as Arita felt stronger draping her arms around her neck, making Riko tighten her sling on the woman.

"Calm down, the Baron is secured" he added, half-whispering in Arita's ear.

Following Riko's advice, the woman could only close her eyes while holding on to the man's body. Occasionally he felt Riko's footsteps being tripped by something, making Arita anxious.

"I'll catch up with him after this" Riko told police officers he knew.

Seeing his car parked near the barrier wall, Riko immediately brought Arita's body into it. After sitting the woman down, Riko again made sure that Arita was fine.

"Is there a wound?" ask the man.

What he found, precisely the pale face of Arita with some scratches on his cheeks. Then, the mother of one child seemed to shake her head. But Riko is not stupid. The man raised Arita's chin using his index finger.

"You're lying, hm?" ask him again.

"Tell me where Baron is" said Arita, trying to distract the man. When she was about to move, Riko immediately held her body and slightly lowered her head. "I'm fine, calm down."

"I hate a liar" he said softly.

Arita gulped her saliva hard, as soon as the sharp gaze from Riko pierced through her net. His heart was pounding, feeling intimidated by that concentrated aura. "Not much, just a few small parts."

"Follow ambulance!" According to Riko's direction, his men followed an ambulance carrying Baron in front of them. At high speed, the black car immediately shot towards the nearest hospital.

"Don't talk about them, you guys are so much more important!" the man's sweat made Arita speechless. Secretly, Arita looked at the man's face from the side. Flat and judes, that's the identical word from the look of the handsome guy next to him.

Luckily, the strategy designed by Riko was right on target. When Arita enters the building itself, he attempts with his men to take safe steps. So, by contacting his relations, he was able to bring Arita and Baron in a safe state.

"Hold my shoulder" said Riko who was preparing to get out of the car.

"No need, I can be alone," Arita refused to feel hesitant. The woman felt that she could walk on her own without the help of the man. However, Riko is still Riko. The man instantly raised Arita's body without waiting for long.

"Sok strong," the man quipped as he stepped in, following the gurney carrying Baron's body.

"Baron," called Arita in a soft tone. His heart ached, when he saw his son's body lying weakly on top of the gurney. Really, Arita could not help her crying.

"No need to cry, you must be strong for her."

Some of the immediate glances were directed at the two, who were followed by two people in black clothes behind Riko. However, neither the man nor Arita tried to ignore him. Their gazes were fixed on the Baron, who was now lying in a gurney.

"Provide one treatment room for two people" Riko told a nurse he passed in the corridor. After getting a response, the man nodded his head briefly.

"You're monitoring Baron's condition on the IGD. Once Arita gets her hands on it, I'll be there."

After that, Riko brought Arita into a treatment room that had been provided by the nurse earlier. Fortunately, the condition of the private hospital in this city, not so many patients. Thus, Arita and Baron get the fastest handling.

"Thank you so much for everything" Arita said with a sincere look. "If there's no you, somehow it's my fate as well as my son's."
