Father To Baron

Father To Baron
CHAPTER 29

"You haven't been wearing a safety belt, Miss .." whispered the man by her ear. For a moment, Arita held her breath as the man's face leaned towards her. Gibran's hand fitted the safety belt, then patted the top of his head briefly.

Arita's body immediately stiffened, as soon as it got a brief pat on her head. His eyes stared blankly towards the front, without blinking an inch. Complete with his heart beating faster.

"Don't hold your breath like that, Miss. I will not be held responsible if something happens to you" said the man who made the woman blink her eyes. Then, Arita tried to neutralize her heartbeat.

"God ..." - The woman was so bright that the handsome face of the son flashed through her mind. Arita immediately threw away her face, staring outwards.

The man with black glasses who was perched sweetly on his nose, stared briefly at the side. After which, a brief smile rose on his lips. Being near Arita was a fortune to him.

"Is this weekend, do you have a show?" ask Gibran by turning the steering wheel of his car towards the highway. The woman did not answer directly. A moment of silence, until the voice with a soft tone was again heard in Gibran's ears.

"I'm so busy this weekend" There's no reason for the woman to nod her head. Unknowingly, the man clutched tightly onto the steering wheel of the car with his lips folded inward.

Pajero Sport continues to divide the streets, with an average speed. Occasionally, Gibran hummed a little following the music he played. As for Arita, the woman continued to stare towards the window beside her.

"You want to eat out?" ask Gibran who made Arita turn his head for a moment. After that, the woman shook her head again.

"Ah take it easy, I will treat you. Think of it as an apology." Not wanting to give up so easily, the handsome man continued to try to find some topics. The man hopes, hopefully, he can get to know the figure of Arita even further.

"I told you, sir. You don't have anything wrong, so you have to apologize to me. Just relax," said the woman as she glanced at Gibran. Arita really felt astonished at the man, because he kept reminding of the problem two days ago.

"Did I say it wrong?" asked Arita who felt strange. While the man next to him, immediately shook his head with a discordant laugh. His car had started to enter the village area, making Gibran a little unwilling.

"Don't think too much. I'm fine" said the man, looking to the side.

Gibran finds the woman, who is staring fixedly at the elementary school they passed. Then, as soon as Arita returned to face towards the front, the man instantly shifted his gaze.

"You're overconfident, sir," he was the one who made the man laugh.

"Isn't that confident, okay?" Gibran asked, raising his eyebrows. For a moment, he could stare at the wide smile of that pretty face. And for some reason, his heart beat fast when he saw Arita's increasingly beautiful face many times over.

"Indeed, self-confidence is good. But it seems, that overconfidence, isn't good either."

Suddenly, the car was again filled with the sound of both. In his laughter, Gibran stared fixedly at Arita's face in silence. He hopes that the opportunity will always be able to bring him together with this gentle figure next to him.

"Ah, I'm sorry. It seems like too much to say" Arita said after her laughter subsided. The woman turned her face away from feeling a little awkward after saying so.

As for Gibran, the man immediately shook his head. For some reason, he was very happy when the voice with a soft tone was ringing in his ears. Because before, it was very difficult just to hear the voice of the woman.

"It's okay, Miss. Your voice has become an opium to me,"
