AUTHOR POV
This is the third day after the departure of Dave's late parents, but the man is still sad especially if he is alone. It is quite understandable, sad when losing a loved one especially if it is forever. As a child of course Dave, felt like a child despite having in-laws but still his biological parents were gone in the accident, he seemed to lose his strongest grip that had always helped him find the best way when adventuring. But in itself, he also realized that life would go on … and of course the wheel of life is spinning he must now rise up to prepare himself to be an extraordinary parent for his children.
From the other corner of the sofa, Kiyara looked gloomy to see her husband kept daydreaming for most of the day, now they should be ready to wait for the arrival of Granpa and Uncle Leff's family from Germany who will soon arrive after being picked up by Dafa to the airport.
“Ehem,” dehem Kiyara, sought the attention of her husband and it was a little powerful when Dave turned his head towards his wife.
“Why, Dear?” tanyanya stood up and walked towards his wife.
“Emmh, Papa kiddies why daydream?” lirih Kiyara while linking her fingers, to be honest sometimes she feels her husband is different if her emotions and sensitive levels increase the effect of pregnancy hormone changes that she experienced, she said, but on the one hand Kiyara always tried to neutralize her mind and think clearly, if her husband is still in a state of mourning it is not good to demand this and that.
Dave, smiling while gently rubbing his wife's distended stomach which is only covered in a wungu badges negligee, brand of mother-mak mainstay negligee. “Honestly, Mas still hard to accept this all feels strange ... not used to it,” replied Dave.
“I guess, Mommy will live a long life after the treatment yesterday was done at least until the age of 63 years, because she is happy to be able to help us raise children to elementary school as well as Daddy. But both were gone even before his grandchildren were born,” Dave continued later.
“But darling, Mommy has calmed down with Daddy. Do you remember Mommy always said, his life was calm and happy after returning from Germany, always he said those two words, after successfully reuniting Daddy with his family, straightening past misunderstandings, and making up for the past, Mommy also repeatedly said that when you married me, Mommy also felt happy again when referring and spending time together with Daddy at the house that Daddy just bought. He told me a lot too, leaving you, his grandchildren and of course I was assigned to always be by your side no matter what the circumstances, Mommy had a hunch before, Mas … it's just that we are less sensitive so we are still shocked like this,” said Kiyara.
“Mommy and Daddy told me a lot too, honey. But it feels like I .. ah I don't know, hiks ..”
Kiyara, exhale slowly. The husband's emotions became unstable later because of this sudden news of grief, she had to be a strong woman to support her withered husband, just like Dave when he felt withered, her husband was always there to support her and help her get back up. Now it is time to prove yourself.
“What Kiyara said is right, dear,” Granpa said, the elderly man was very fluent in language because he had lived a long time in Jakarta in his youth before he finally returned to his original country.
“But, Grandpa hopes you will still want to run the existing Grandpa business in this country. This is not because it intends to demean you or how, but this company is a manifestation of Grandpa's apology on the medium of Daddymu that Grandpa once scratched from the family list and inheritance rights. And as you know if your Daddy has previously accepted this company,”.
“Grandpa, sorry ... Kiyara did not hear Grandpa and the others coming,” Kiyara said as she got up from her seat and walked slowly towards her Husband's Grandpa to experience the wrinkled hands that still look solid.
“No matter my grandson, you were chatting with your husband right?”
“Emh, Yes Grandapa let's sit here first or want to go straight to the room for a break?”
“I want to sit here first, hey you don't welcome your old grandfather, Dave?” tegur Granpa that makes Kiyara smile bright, at least with the presence of Grandpa home atmosphere will be a little more crowded because when in Germany the Grandpa always teases her husband, she said, making the two of them always argue and end up complimenting each other or cuddling like old friends.
“I miss you, Grandpa old ..” Dave said as he poured into Grandpa's arms sitting beside him, until no tears trickled back because seeing this Grandpa reminded Dave of his Daddy figure.
“I miss you too, my little boy. Tomorrow please take your Old Grandpa to the graves of your parents yes,” said Grandpa with a tone that sounded vibrating, ah how could Grandpa not leave sadness in his heart, in staying first to return to nature there by the child who had just made peace with him was the same as sticking a thousand daggers in his chest, claustrophobic and painful but could be anything but feigning toughness in front of a lot of people, especially Jeff's only grandson, Jeff, the child he had driven from home asked permission to marry an ordinary girl from a faraway land and the moment of regret gnawed at his heart, yelling wanted time back when he drove Jeff away at that time but fate instead said he was separated even further.
“Waaa, you guys hug why not wait for me?” said a man commonly called Dave as Uncle, his Daddy brother who always gave news about Germany to his Daddy.
Kiyara, the happiest person there .. for having seen the twinkle of life in her husband's eyes, thanked the Almighty for all that had happened, and gave thanks, still leaves a lot of good for him and his beloved husband, which is surrounded by good people.
