Chapter 9

Xena is seen sitting on the bed with Evan, using the man's shoulders to lean on. Xena was worried and scared, why Evan should have cancer.

"Ev, is it true that the disease cannot be cured?" xena asked, she was not willing if the togetherness that had just been established with her husband only lasted an instant.

"The doctor said I can do chemo, but you must know that cancer is difficult to cure. How else would you like? maybe it's better to give up, I'll accept everything that might happen. That's why I want to spend the days with you, I won't let every second of happiness pass you by" Evan replied at length.

Hearing Evan who resigned, even made Xena cry again. He roared to the point of making Evan surprised.

"You have to, anyway. If I fit again unfortunately gini, you have to recover, I don't want to be a widow."

Xena cried so hard, making Evan immediately embrace Xena's body to calm down.

"Oh, don't cry! This is all fate, we can't do anything either" Evan said, trying to calm down.

Xena immediately got up and sat down properly, she looked at Evan with pity. "Let's go to the doctor! We make sure that the disease you are looking for, who knows it can still be cured," asked Xena, intending not to let Evan die just like that.

"Non't now" Evan refused.

"Why?"

"Today I want to see Jihan, to end our relationship. I actually did it over the phone, but Jihan didn't want to. That's why I need to meet him directly, so that everything is clear" Evan said at length.

"Do I need to come?" ask Xena.

"No need, I'll finish it myself and go straight home after that" Evan refused, only not wanting to if the angry Jihan suddenly scolded and blamed Xena.

Evan actually meets Jihan at a cafe. He immediately expressed his intentions as soon as the girl came.

"I don't want to break up with you!" reject Jihan after hearing Evan ask to break up directly to her.

"But we have to break up, I want to live my household well. I hope you understand and can get a better man than me" Evan explained, trying to persuade Jihan to accept.

Evan took a deep breath, then sighed slowly and immediately stood up. "So much as your assessment. But obviously I'm still going to end our relationship."

Evan left Jihan just like that, not even caring as the girl continued to call out her name

At home, Xena opened several articles about cancer, trying to figure out how to deal with, if necessary, how to cure. Until he remembered his friend who became an Oncologist, Xena also tried to contact his friend.

"You have cancer?" Xena's friend's voice was heard exploding in panic, just after Xena asked about the illness.

"Bu-no, not me." Xena who was shocked to the point of speaking stammered.

"If it wasn't you, why did you ask about the disease?" ask Xena's friend from across the line.

"Actually my husband who was diagnosed with cancer, do you think there's a possibility for him to recover?" Xena looks lethargic with a bent face, thinking about her husband's fate.

"Let's tell me, send me your husband's health check. I'll try to see if there's still a chance of recovery and analyze the appropriate treatment method for him."

Hearing that there was still hope for Evan's recovery, Xena got a little excited.

And when Evan had just set foot in the house, Xena immediately asked for the results of the man's examination.

"For what?" ask Evan in wonder.

"I have a friend, he's a cancer specialist. He wants to see the results of your health check, ", Xena replied.

"That's why I threw it away because I was upset" said Evan, scratching his non-itchy head.

Xena seemed to think, until she contacted her friend again. Xena's friend asked them to come directly to the hospital for a retest because the results of the previous examination were discarded. Evan just goes along with what Xena wants to do, they decide to go to the hospital tomorrow.

Not wanting news of Evan's illness to spread, Xena and Evan plan to go to the hospital secretly without anyone else knowing, including Dimitri who is actually faking his own son's illness.

Dimitri was delighted, the man thought his son and son-in-law would get along well after the lies he had made. He asked his friend who was a doctor. However, as clever as a jumping squirrel must have fallen too. Without Dimitri knowing, a friend and doctor who helped him fake the results of Evan's examination, is now abroad for participating in a seminar.
