CH 64'S. Offer

Vincent went upstairs to the mansion. Talk to Claude about meeting Alrico Lucca.

He was just about to knock on Claude's bedroom door, when it opened and Claude appeared there.

"Follow me, we need to talk about this."

Claude nodded, then closed the door of his room. He followed Vincent, walked through several rooms, crossed the hallway and found the door of the study. Vincent walked in and stepped onto a shelf that ran along the wall of the room. He pushed through a gap between the books, as soon as the shelf opened. The two then went in and started to open the glass shelf.

"You have to call Hamilton and Simon back" Vincent said.

"No problem. They just went to review a building we wanted. They should have come back today" Claude said as he opened his shirt, putting on a bulletproof vest like Vincent.

"After making a deal with Mr. Lucca, we'll be going to Rodrigo's place soon. Joanna has to go home under strict guard from there later."

Claude stopped doing his job when he heard Vincent's words.

"We're gonna take Yoan?" tanyakanya.

"Trust Claude. Security will be maintained. Blaird's been moving to the rendezvous."

Claude just nodded. After tucking in the weapons they needed, the two again closed the shelves.

"Alrico Lucca just wants Marylin and Serge. I hope the two work together" Vincent said.

"Must, Vincent! They have to!"

Vincent did not reply to that remark. Both are moving fast. Return to the hall where Joanna is still waiting.

"I've contacted Serge. I said I'd pick you up in front of their apartment" said Yoana.

"You didn't say where we'd take them, did you?" claude asked as he walked towards the front door. Vincent and Joanna followed.

"No. I said I'd explain it when I meet later" replied Joanna again.

Vincent opens the door and Joanna enters immediately. Vincent himself sat next to him. Claude got in another car. Another car to pick up Marylin and Serge, then the rest of the bodyguards who followed their accompaniment.

Marylin saw when a black car stopped in front of her apartment building. A man came down and approached him and Serge.

"Master, Miss, please come in. I'll take the two of you to see Miss Yiana." Serge recognizes Bruno as one of Bernard's family bodyguards. He immediately nodded and guided Marylin into the passenger section.

The car quickly drove. Take them to a restaurant known Serge and Marylin as a luxury restaurant that uses the feel of the park and the artificial forest around it.

Open space with a small cottage surrounded by artificial forest. In winter, only the large hall of the restaurant is used, because the place will be covered in glass and use heating, entertaining its guests with beautiful views outside the glass.

Serge frowned as he was taken into the large hall of the restaurant. If it wasn't winter, the automatic glass that closed the restaurant would have lifted, providing an open-air view with fresh air and wind blowing, as they feel today.

Marylin and Serge stared, when at the round table in one corner of the large room, already waiting for Yoana, Claude and Vincent, then on the other side sat Alrico Lucca and his assistant Diego Baldassare.

Serge realized the restaurant was empty. There were only scattered bodyguards filling the place.

"What's really going on? Why are we meeting this guy" Serge said directly.

"Well .. I don't think it needs an opener anymore. Mr. Serge has brought us directly to the purpose of what we are all here for" said Alric

Diego is seen fiddling with a laptop in front of him, then Alric points to a screen that has been prepared near their desk.

"As you can see, this is a picture of Miss Catalina who was kidnapped today. It's only been a few hours that my men have managed to follow them. I'm sure your men have also moved Mr. Claude. But it will be quick if you work with me to save Miss Catalina."

All eyes stared wide at the screen as Catalina was being pulled into the car by a blond man and woman.

"That's not Rodrigo, Vince," said Yoana. Despite being 10 years old, he can still vividly remember Rodrigo's face.

Vincent stared intently with his jaw hardened.

"That's Rodrigo. His voice is Rodrigo. I don't know how he changed his face. But I know it's Rodrigo's voice" Vincent sighed.

"Ah, apparently Bernard's family knew who this kidnapper was ..." Alric's remark came to a halt as Claude cut in a harsh tone.

"Quite your bullshit, Alrico! Tell me what your terms are!" snapped Claude.

Joanna raised her chin. The little lady did not look nervous at all.

"Mr alrico Lucca offered a sum of compensation money for B House to release Marylin's contract. In other words Mr. Lucca wants Marylin to work for them."

Marylin and Serge looked unblinkingly at Yoana, then the woman continued.

"I have rejected the offer" he said firmly.

Alrico smiled slightly. "Yes, direct and firm. I'm rejected. Though the compensation I offer is not a little ...." Then Alric uttered the number of offers. Making Serge and Marylin widen his eyes.

Alric gave a sweet smile to Marylin who was looking at him with a narrowing. "And I offer you double the value of your contract with Bernard if you will accept my offer, Miss Marylin."

"No!" The answer is from Serge. Marylin was silent. Signs approve Serge's decision.

Alric shrugged his shoulders and smiled back.

"I've guessed your answer, Mr. Serge. That's why I want to meet all of you to make a new offer."

Joanna is back in voice. "You're not making an offer, Mr. Lucca! You want your goal to be achieved by taking advantage of this incident!" said Yoana cynically.

"In addition why do you look so intensely wanting Marylin. Your intentions look suspicious, "Yoana added again.

Alric laughed out loud, he stared amusedly at Joanna.

"Miss Bernard, don't talk about my intentions. It was clear I was offering him a bigger contract. Now think Miss Catalina, you're wasting your time. Agree or not?" said firmly.

"What happened to Catalina?" Marylin's voice rang out, all eyes staring at her. Alrico Lucca locked Marylin's eyes staring intently at him. As vigorously as he tried to restrain his boiling heart from seeing the sharp and haughty eyes of Marylin.

"I will briefly explain, Miss Marylin Seymor. Your sister Catalina Seymor has been kidnapped by the Bernard family's enemies. I happen to have information on where they took him. I'll give you this information, even help to free your brother, if Bernard cancels your contract and you also accept my offer" Alric said.

Marylin just stared flat, not reacting.

"Even if Bernard cancels his contract, he will only be jobless unemployed. You can't force her to accept your offer," said Yoana, looking at Marilyn and Serge alternately, judging the expressions of the two men.

"Then all this depends on your decision, Miss Marylin" Alric said.

Marylin silent a thousand languages. Nothing moved, nothing could be read from the look on his face.

Marylin was silent. He just looked a little to see Serge.

"Rodrigo only gave us 48 hours. It's been running for almost 4 hours now. We only have 44 hours to save Catalina. Tell me your decision now Miss Marylin. Otherwise, we will leave this place immediately. Your sister's life is under threat." Vincent looked at Marylin who was looking back at him.

"And it was you who put him in the hands of the criminal ..," Marylin said softly. Everyone was silent when they heard Marylin's words. Standing up from her chair, Marylin walked away from the table and stared out at the restaurant.

"You involved Catalina so she was kidnapped, and then I paid for it by agreement with Mr Lucca ?"

"Don't tell me you turned it down Marylin Seymor! You came to her when you were nervous about your pregnancy. He helped you by giving you almost all of his money! She's keeping the baby you want to throw away and protecting him in your place. You can punish us Bernard's family, Marylin. But do this for Catalina's sake." Yoona's words were heard by everyone present. Marylin turned around.

"I? spending Lina's money?" ask Marylin wonder.

"Yes. The money you receive every month and also the final compensation before you hand Leonard over is Catalina's personal money. No couple will adopt Leon. Catalina deliberately lied so you wouldn't continue your intention of aborting Leon. He spent all his savings on you ...." Joanna explained. Unlock all the facts found by Claude while investigating about Catalina first.

Marylin was stunned, if Catalina did, then the money must be money from her deceased mother's inheritance. The money Lina wants to use to realize her mother's dream for an orphanage. His father had mentioned the legacy Catalina received.

Marylin turned back, hiding her face from everyone. Serge immediately stood up, approached Marylin and patted her on the shoulder.

"I won't give you an opinion, my dear. All this you have to decide. You're the one who's gonna do it later" Serge whispered behind Marylin.

Marylin turned her head, then held Serge's hand which was still holding his shoulder. He took a deep breath before speaking.

"Well ... give the contract to Serge ...."
