CH 49'S. Sinceres

Vincent moved to tilt his body that felt sore. He lay with a cushion of a sofa beside Joanna on the floor.

Rain was still heard outside the villa. The sound of the wind and the rain on the roof accompanied Vincent's ears through the night. He looked towards Joanna who was asleep. For over 10 years, her love for Joanna stopped before she even started.

Alissia's death has Antonio blaming Vincent. The man banishes him repeatedly, saying he does not want to see Vincent again, but Vincent's promise to Alissia keeps him in the family. Vincent stops the kidnapping attempt, he is finally able to shoot Rod who finally fell from a cliff on a hill when he was carrying Yoana with the intention of avenging him for Tricia's death. But Vincent never found a body under the cliff. Vincent was then convinced Rod was dead with a lot of blood scattered under the cliff and also tears from the rest of Rod's clothes they found, he said, but Blaird who was accompanying Vincent looking under the cliff felt doubtful, but then they thought maybe Rod was already settled by the starving beast in the forest.

Then it was completely safe, Rod never came back. Makes Vincent think the man is really dead. The business rivals of the Bernard family could not have attacked earlier, they never tried to kill one family, the business had been run for years, he said, the family also always came to the Green Forest on the anniversary of the death of Antonio and Alissia, Why are they moving now if they really want to get rid of the Bernard family.

Vincent pulls the long naoas, hoping the morning comes soon and the weather improves, so help will come and pick them up from there soon. It wouldn't risk just picking up Claude and Catalina with the available bodyguards and letting the one stay in the villa unattended.

If it's just the relationship as a boss and a clerk that you want to attach to our relationship, I'll obey, as long as you don't leave me. Seeing you every day is enough for me. I won't burden you again by asking you to marry me."

Yoana said in a hoarse voice, she longed for the warm embrace Vincent had given her before her mother's tragedy. Joanna knew she could guess the direction Vincent thought about who was behind all this. Rodrigo's body is never found, his kidnapping and now the shooting targeted at him make Yoana think about Vincent's past enemies. Vincent killed the man's lover and the only woman Vincent had ever been close to was Joanna. So Rodrigo must have intended to kill him to avenge Tricia's death. But why did the man reappear now?

Yoana felt Vincent's embrace tighten, then a kiss she felt on the top of her head. He closed his eyes, keeping this moment close in his memory.

"We will go through this .. I will protect the Bernard family, even with my life. I'm not going anywhere, Joanna. I promised not to leave Bernard's family."

"Can't you change your mind about us, Vince?" asked Joanna in a sad tone.

"No, Joanna. Your father would rise from the grave if I did. Now let's go down" said Vincent, taking off his arms and pulling Yiana's arm back down the hall.
