Doctor Naura

Doctor Naura
Chapter 24 Protective

The next day after the glass throwing of my car at the back, bang Zamy took my car to the workshop and I went to the hospital using a service car.

"Always beware, Bee.." Bang Zamy was still worried about me getting out of the car to the clinic.

"Eh bang.., Naura has found the right person to accompany Naura at home." I spoke because I just remembered.

"Who?" Bang Zamy turned towards me.

"Mbak Nindya, Annisa and Aunt Miranti. Shouldn't we take them to a decent place. Don't let yourself live in the middle of the forest without socialization." I'm talking from the steering wheel. I saw Bang Zamy for a moment thinking and then answering.

"Later we'll talk." I also passed.

From my clinic to the general hospital, my schedule of inpatient control starts at seven in the morning. Arriving at the hospital I missed fingerprints, prepared for a while and accompanied by 2 nurses began to circumnavigate the control of inpatient. Nothing was wrong, everything went as usual. Only I saw one suspicious patient's parents and looked nervous looking at me. She always looked at me but when I looked at her she immediately looked away.

"Rani when is the operation plan docks?" The suspicious man asked. He's Rani's father, one of my patients has been hospitalized for 2 days. After seeing the results of Rani's CT scan, she had to have a tonsillectomy or tonsillectomy because there was severe and recurrent swelling.

"Waiting for confirmation from the surgeon and laboratory results well sir." I smiled explaining.

"Thank you doc." He thanked her while pulling the black jacket he was wearing.

"Why are your face and palms injured?" I can't help but be curious.

"It's the doc, rush to get here last night, my bike slips." He explains. I just nodded.

"Mir, clean up and give medicine to Rani's father." I talked to the nurse with me.

"Ready doctor." Mirna answered.

"No need to dock, just a scratch." His father Rani tried to refuse.

"It's okay sir, so as not to get infected." I smiled and passed.

About half an hour around, I went back behind the nurses' desk. Write reports of some control measures. And I was just about to leave the nurse's desk after signing the report file, Mirna called me.

"Doc! Is this a doctor's note?" He gave her a yellow piece of post-it paper, which appeared to be several creases.

"What's that?" I accepted it, and then I read carefully that's my home address on Jalan Baru. But I don't feel like writing it.

"Where did you find this Mir?" I asked again.

"In Rani's patient's room." I went back to Rani's room being treated. The little girl was just confused alone. The grandmother guarding him was washing his cloth in the bathroom. I'm looking for Rani's father. But that figure has disappeared. I tried to go to the CCTV control room upstairs, I saw him heading into the Director's room in a hurry. 2 minutes later he came out again still in a hurry. I'm getting suspicious. She must have known something happened at my house last night. The scars are very awkward, unlike the scars of people who fall from motorcycles. I looked for him near the parking lot, but late, a black Avanza gave me a ride, they got out of the hospital. I pegged for a moment. Thinking about what step I should do. I'm finally headed to the hospital director's room, Mr. Ram, my real father.

"Assalamualaikum sir."

"Waalaikumsalam son, sit down." Dad took off his glasses. She smiled at me.

"Sorry sir...."

"This is your papa Naura." Papa reminded me not to talk formally when just the two of you.

"Yes pa, sorry sassy, Naura saw a patient's parents out of the papa room a few minutes ago."

"Parents of patients?" Who?" Papa seems to think.

"So just now, there was a tall, rather thin man in a black jacket coming out of this room." I talk while busy describing with my hands.

"Owh Pak Anang. Yes, he's from here." Papa answered.

"Why pa?" I asked again.

"Who are you tumben a bit 'cerudik'?" Dad asked me. (cerudik Bangka means kepo or more or less kepengen know the affairs of people).

"Sorry pa, I mean Naura...."

"He just asked papa for money, he said during the season he had no income."

"Why ask for money? What's for?" I'm getting curious.

"Yes for living expenses. His son is being treated, right? Naura's patient, right? He was unable to work because of it. She's a widower and the backbone of the Naura family." Papa explained.

"So he was Papa?"

"How dare you, son. Just move to papa's house there let the same acquaintance gardener, housekeeper, driver, security guard. Hehe...." Papa chuckles.

"Seriously, who is he?" I asked again.

"For what?" Papa was curious and asked back.

"It's necessary and important." I answered.

"The security guard? What necessities?" Papa frowned.

"Whhe's a security guard at papa's house?"

"Yes Pak Anang has been a security guard at home for decades, the last two years his wife died of bowel cancer. He keeps at home only night, day he ngojek online. That's why you should go home often. Or just move. Let's be with your real mom and dad." Smiling to explain.

"Owh...." I nodded in understanding.

"Now, by the way, he said Naura wants to marry doctor Zamy huh? There hasn't been this proposal to papa to be a guardian." Dad stood up to me.

"Doctor Zamy is very good. He's the perfect partner for you." Dad sat at the end of the table looking at me.

"So papa agrees if Naura is married to bang Zamy?" I'm wide open happy.

"You are old enough to make your own way of life." Papa hugged me.

"Thank you pa. What about mama?" I'm trying to get information.

"You have just met, not yet familiar with each other's true nature. No matter what your mother thinks, Naura just needs a real father's guardian. Papa is always ready. Don't mind anything else."

"What if you don't agree?"

"Life experiences have taught me many things. Trust those who have known us for a long time. Don't be like papa, leave Mira just for your mama. Good and polite when dating, but after marriage, all his true nature comes out. Ah, I promise I will support your every decision." Papa promises. There's a knock on the door. Internal medicine doctor, Dr. Hendrik came in with a dossier on hand.

"I'm leaving Ram and Doctor Hen." I took a step back and turned towards the door, exiting.

"Take care and always be alert, Doc." Papa reminded. I left the Director's room to go to the child's poly. At 9 am I got my schedule there.

I called bang Zamy and told my suspicions that started from the penebahan saw the eyes of Mr. Anang to me during a control visit to Rani's patient, his son. Also tell me what Papa said.

"Yes but be careful we don't have any proof yet, don't be rash and stay alert." Bang Zamy reminded me. I nodded that definitely could not be seen by bang Zamy through a phone call.

"When are you planning to visit Nindya?" I switched the conversation.

"Why? Naura is going there, right? Ashar's brother is done here, but he wants to go to the clinic. How about night?" Bang Zamy gives you a choice.

"Don't bang, the night is also the season of this corona patients so many, will be afraid to go to the house mbak Nindya in the middle of the forest too late."

"There will be a brother later who will. Brother even often go there night on the motor."

"Later bang, wait for our schedule is not full." I gave up on my own. I really want to invite them to stay at my house. Besides being able to be friends, I am concerned about Nisa who has not been to school until that age.

"After that...." Bang Zamy replied.

"Yes." Yeah." I responded briefly.

"Eh Bee...." Just about to turn off the phone again heard the sound of bang Zamy.

"What bang?" I answered.

"Why do you miss you so much." He's talking again.

"Halaahhh...." I was gnarled to hear such an exaggerated thing.

"Really."

"Ah done. Assalamualaikum."

"Getishalight."

"Tok tok tok" suddenly heard a knock on the door. Early officers enter with patient medical records file.

"This is the patient list, Doc. I asked five patients to wait. The rest I told you to go home and will be contacted when it is almost your turn to see a doctor. The nurse informs.

"Yes, thank you, Mom. We'll have five more minutes, yeah...." I answered.

"Okay, doctor." Nurse is out of the room again. I read the medical records of some patients. When I finished I called Dini.

"Bu Dini let's start with the first patient."

"Good doctor." The Early Nurse called the patient, I was ready with my duty back.

At 15.00 WIB I finished my duty and because there was nothing else I immediately headed to the parking lot to go home. Arriving there I saw Doctor Nina as if she was deliberately waiting for me. He was leaning in front of my car.

"Hi Naura, how are you?" He stood smiling at me. I repay.

"Thank God Nin, what about you?" I approached.

"Less so good. It's a very hard time for me." Doctor Nina looked at me.

"Lho can. Let's talk in the cafeteria, I'll deal." I took her to the cafeteria. Doctor Nina immediately moved, walking in alignment with me. We went down the stairs again to the canteen next to the parking lot, but it was limited to a concrete wall. There's only a 50-centimeter door connecting from the turn of the stairs to get there.

"What order dok?" Mbak Yem immediately approached us who sat facing each other in the corner seat.

"I just mbak chicken meatball noodles, wear two plug yes. Drink warm oranges don't be too sweet." I'm explaining.

"Good doc. Doctor Nina's mom, what are you going to eat?" Mbak Yem turned his gaze toward Nina's doctor.

"Just like mbak." Doctor Nina answered. Ma'am Yem nodded kindly and went towards the kitchen of the cafeteria preparing our order. We started looking at each other.

"Then I went to see Zamy at his house." Doctor Nina started talking. I quietly listened.

"I was angry and missed him because some days his number was off. Then get the info he said came home from Mentok that day. I went to see him and tried to get him married. But apparently I've been wrong all this time. I thought Zamy loved me and thought I was more than a friend." Doctor Nina's tears slowly poked. I brought the tissue box closer to him. I let him talk without interrupting. I quietly listened.

"I was embarrassed afterwards. I am ashamed of you Naura. Apparently Zamy doesn't like me more than a friend. He was considerate all this time because he used to serve my confidants since college. She never refused my request because she thought of me as her sister, like you. The point is, all this time I was just in love myself. I have clapped one hand. I had expected too much of him even though from a long time ago I actually realized that I didn't deserve him." Doctor Nina stopped talking, she took a deep breath while wiping her eyes with a tissue. Ma'am Yem came with our order.

"Please see the pretty doctor...." Ma'am Yem put each order in front of us, then left.

"Let's eat Nin first." I invited doctor Nina to enjoy chicken meatballs. Nina according to him.

"When are you getting married?" Doctor Nina suddenly asked while enjoying our meal. I'm staring.

"I?" I asked back and stopped eating.

"Yes. Naura and Zamy when to get married?" Doctor Nina asked again.

"not sure. We're still waiting for the right time in this coronavirus pandemic season." I answered. I saw his face flat listening to my answer.

"Let's give up on getting Zamy, get married soon." Doctor Nina spoke slowly after drinking two sips of warm orange juice. She smiles.

"What about you?" I'm trying to investigate. Back to the words of papa that Pak Anang is a night security guard in their house. And last night's terror seemed very strange.

"I? hehe..." He laughed stiffly.

"Yes, what about you if we get married." I asked back.

"Although it is difficult, but I am sick of trying to win Zamy's heart, but it always fails because his heart has been with you. I'll forget everything. I'm sincere if he's with you." Doctor Nina spoke while leaning back to the chair. We looked back. I'm trying to make sure that it's not just on the lips.

"Are you sure Nin?" I asked Dr. Nina again.

"Well, there's nothing I can do anymore. Just pray that God send a new doctor who is handsome, established and generous like in the Korean films to this hospital, or at least in the hospital in Pangkalpinang. Then he had a crush on me, and we together enjoyed a happy old day forever." Doctor Nina laughed crisply. Like his burden was reduced by speaking openly to me.

"You're willing to take off the Zamy bang for me?" I'm still trying to look behind his talk.

"Ikhlas or not, I have no right to force others to love me." Doctor Nina answered. I smile nodding.

"Miss?"

"Yes?"

"As people who are always speaking scientifically. Do you believe in magic?" I was curious and wanted to see his reaction. He relaxed and looked at me.

"I've heard it, and I'm sure you'll ask. Last night you got a delivery like a utility item, right?" Doctor Nina spoke rather cynically.

"Are you accusing me?" He asked with a funny smile.

"I have reason to suspect you." I honestly said it. He was not surprised to hear it, relaxed and just played with an expression that thought it was funny.

"I'm not that stupid. Not liking you to me is enough to no longer recognize you, not hate you. We, the learned, must be able to distinguish right and wrong from the logic of thinking of the learned." Doctor Nina tactfully lectured me who was just silent while occasionally sipping a warm orange that was starting to cool.

"How do you feel after last night receiving an unwanted parcel? Definitely creepy. Yes, only fools who, in this sophisticated age, still believe in shamanism." Doctor Nina laughed.

"I don't think so either, you can't do it." I answered.

"Thank you Naura, still believe me. And thanks for the treat. Let's go when it's over." Doctor Nina looked at his watch. I waved my hand to call Mbak Yem, pay him and we prepared to leave.

"You're taking the shift now, Nin?" I asked before I got in the car.

"Yes, while filling the time, comforting your future husband...." Doctor Nina answered smiling. I smiled and left the hospital, went home.

***

Arriving at the house of bang Zamy already with two men. They stood up to see me coming.

"This is Nauranya sir. Naura introduced this burly like Ade Ray his name is Fredy, his age is still 23 years, his house is near here. He's been a security guard at the Jaguar. Because the coronavirus is why he was put away, because there is no more activity there. He started working here tonight. Just watch the night. He's a black belt, Naura. Saturday Sunday teaching karate in Merdeka square." Fredy nodded at me who replied to him with a smile.

"And this is Mr. Rohim, the father of all this time selling vegetables at the Morning Market, but because he was lonely and he was looking for work, he was a neighbor doctor Zein. Well Mr. Rohim help clean up in the park, during the day while taking care. It turns out Fredy's keeping the night." Bang Zamy explained as he alternately looked at me, Fredi and Mr. Rohim. I just nodded.

"Please continue with the Zamy bang, Mr. Rohim and Fredy. I'm going in first." I'm saying goodbye. While they continued the conversation. As they chatted I heard the sound of the car coming back. Apparently bang Zamy added installing CCTV. My heart makes sense that bang Zamy is a little excessive. Then another four-man handyman came carrying barbed wire. He said he wanted a barbed wire over the wall of the back fence where people were sneaking. Also repaint the security guard post inside the fence next to the trellis door.

"If there is a security guard, do not need to fence high with wire strand bang. The effect is excessive." I talked about it with bang Zamy when he came in to pick up some necessities.

"What's wrong with trying...." The answer is simple. I just kept watching her busy taking care of the house after the incident last night.

"So Naura met Nina..," In the midst of her busyness back and forth into and out of the house buying the needs of the handyman, Mr. Rohim and Fredy, I took the time to talk again.

"Why else is he?" Bang Zamy paused for a moment. He took off his shirt that was wet with sweat, then because the singlet was also wet, he opened the singlet and wiped it on his face.

"The doctor is a slob...." I stood up, then walked towards the room. I open the closet drawer, I get one fine white towel that I used to dry my hair. I threw it at him. Bang Zamy caught the towel and started rubbing it against his face and body.

"So what did you see Nina?" Bang Zamy sat beside me. The smell of sweat mixed with dedoran. I covered my mouth and nose with tissue.

"Halaahhh.., brother's feelings don't smell ah." He even kissed his own armpits. I took my eyes off her body. My mind's been 'a little naughty' ever since I found out we weren't siblings and had honestly loved each other.

"Yes it is the smell of sweat itself, and others who smell it are tormented...." I have an alibi to look away.

"Trixixixi...." Suddenly yuk Mairoh giggles listening to me nag.

"Don't it smell yuk?" Bang Zamy asked for the support of Yuk Mairoh.

"No, doctor...." Yuk Mairoh answered while taking the clothes of bang Zamy that he opened earlier.

"Not from 100 meters." I added. Yuk Mairoh laughed again and went back inside carrying sweaty clothes and singlets.

"Issshhh.., it's already starting to fuss.., bang Zamy stood up, threw a towel on my lap. A step later he stopped and looked at me.

"Never be chatty...." He threatened me.

"When later?" I answered.

"After ijab qabul!" He pinched my nose. It feels a bit sticky due to sweat. I spontaneously wiped it with the towel I was holding.

"Wuuunkt...." The smell of sweat seemed to be swallowed. I threw up empty. Bang Zamy's smile left me. Someone called from outside the house.

"Sir Zamy! The branches of Kedondong that have come out of the fence are trimmed all yes...?"

"Yes, I'm trimming everything." Bang Zamy replied, then he headed to his room and without singlet coming out again, then while walking, he was wearing a shirt that had just unfolded, the smell of perfume spread for a moment. He changed his clothes and then left the house again watching the people who were working. I went to the room for a short break before going to the Honey Bee clinic. Ignoring the Chain Saw melody cuts through tree branches. We forgot the story of my meeting with doctor Nina.
