The Part 24

Austin has been watching Cam ever since. His friend looked calmer. Cam always looks tired and serious. Cam never seemed to enjoy anything and just focused his energy and mind on work. However, today he found another expression on Cam's face. Peace and contentment. It was as if Cam had found the thing he had been looking for all this time.

"Stop looking at me. You gave me goosebumps," said Cam flat. He wanted to stay as Austin kept looking at him. But over time he could not stand it. They are in the middle of an important meeting. Austin could have shifted his attention to something else. I don't know what happens if someone else catches his or her behavior, which is unusual.

"sorry. I'm just curious." Austin chuckled without feeling sinful. la was too busy observing Cam to forget if he was in the middle of a meeting. la and his team were discussing a cooperation project with the Cam company.

"You look different. Is it because of that girl?"

Cam snorted sharply, gesturing the man to keep his mouth shut. Cam's response made Austin even more amused.

"It seems right."

"Shut your mouth. You can continue your rant after the meeting" Cam sizzled threateningly. Austin shrugged and pretended to be late for the discussion, but Cam knew Austin was the laziest to attend.

Actually, Cam can guess the reason Austin forced himself to join this meeting. Austin was just curious and wanted to know what happened after Cam hired the services of a comfort woman. And, Cam's guess is right. Right after the meeting was over, Austin opened the topic without shame.

"So, tell me how it feels to have a mistress."

"For trouble meddling in other people's business, you're number one" Cam sneered. They were sitting across from Cam's office.

"Have no shame. You can tell me the fun details you guys went through. He must be great for being able to turn your cold into more human. What's his name?" angling Austin.

Cam bluffing his teeth. Austin purposely did that to tease her. "Fanny Blair."

"Yes, Fanny Blair! He's amazing. Can I go see him?"

"No." Cam's expression was really stiff. His voice was calm, but sharp and intimidating. Austin knew it was a warning.

"OKAY. I know he belongs to you. No need to be angry." Austin hands up. Cam grunts. la is not angry. la knows Austin will not force. However, imagining this friend of his talking to Fanny is really annoying right. he wants to keep Fanny for himself. he knows this is ridiculous. he does not mean to express jealousy or possessiveness.

"Wherever, I'm happy for you. You're finally rediscovering your happiness. That's more important."

Has he been drowning in sadness for too long? Cam deepens. He only rarely let himself have fun because he felt not too important. Hearing the same words coming out of Aunt Bell's mouth and Austin's, like her, she rarely laughed.

"By the way, I need your help again." Cam remembers what he said about Fanny being Austin's secretary.

"Is this related to your woman?"

"Call him with a more polite name. Fanny deserves her, "repeat Cam with squeaking eyes. "Okay, so anything to do with Miss Blair?" Austin held a smile. Funny his sense of seeing Cam protective of something.

"If my aunty asks, I want you to tell her that Fanny works as a secretary at your company. I told my aunty that you brought us and Fanny together at your company!"

"Why did you drag me into your trouble?" Austin horrified. "You know how troublesome your aunty is. What if he asks about Miss Blair? Anyway why did you involve your aunty in your relationship?"

"You think I deliberately told my aunty? She came to the house this morning without me expecting it. I was forced to make up excuses because he kept pressing. But I had no intention of hiding Fanny from my aunty."

Austin let out a choking sound. "Your aunt will strangle Miss Blair if she finds out who that girl is!"

"I didn't tell my aunt who Fanny was. I'm just telling you what you need to know."

"So, you've identified Fanny as your boyfriend?"

Cam shakes. "My engagement."

"What?" Austin was shocked. "And your aunty believes it?"

"That's how."

Austin never thought. la shook his head. He understood when Cam decided to find a paid lover. However, acknowledging Fanny as a fiancee to her aunt, isn't that too risky?

"You're not afraid your aunt will get you married?" Cam also thought about her since she died this morning. she said Fanny fiancee without a second thought. Her aunt will definitely be more intensively pestered her to get married quickly. But strangely, Cam is not too dizzying.

It doesn't make any sense! Cam never foreshadowed marriage again after her first marriage ended tragically. Her relationship with Fanny will not end with marriage.
