Part 17's

Cam hasn't heard Fanny talk since he took the girl away from the office that also houses her. Now, they sit side by side in the back seat of a car that is driving back home. Fanny sat stiffly on her side. The girl tried to seem calm, but to no avail. Cam could feel his fear clearly.

What makes her afraid of me? Cam deepens.

Ever since seeing Fanny enter the room and proving that the girl was telling the truth about her job, Cam did feel annoyed at letting Fanny choose the job. As soon as they meet early, Cam is sure to prevent Fanny from becoming a comfort woman.he is also upset that Fanny's confession is not a lie. And, when he saw Fanny standing before him, he, Cam feels like beating up whoever made Fanny here and wants to quickly take her away so he unknowingly shows his anger at Fanny.

Is it possible because of that? Cam has to say something so Fanny doesn't misunderstand him.

"How are you, Fanny Blair?" Fanny flinched, turned to her quickly, then hurriedly looked at her hands. "I'm good."

Cam frowned, not liking Fanny's reaction. "Don't you want to ask or say something?" Cam hopes Fanny will be curious how Cam can be in that office and hire her services.

"Ah, yes. Thank you." Thank you."

That was not the answer she expected. "Why are you thanking me?"

"If you're being honest, the truth is I'm glad the person who hired me for the first time is you, Cam. And, I'm also relieved that the end could be gone from that place without having to worry about my safety if I don't want to go back there. Therefore, I consider you as my savior."

An unexpected statement again. From her words, she concluded Fanny disliked her status as a comforting woman. Cam was happy to hear that.

"Then, being there isn't what you want?"

"That's too early to explain."

All right, Cam gets it. He wouldn't pressure Fanny to tell him about herself. Moreover, Fanny was right, now it was still too early to tell each other their respective problems. Their time is long.

"How did you find me?"

Cam turned. Finally, Fanny asks what she wants to hear. "I was unintentional. Actually, I didn't mean to look for you because I didn't believe what you said before."

"You can't believe I'm a...." Fanny did not continue. Fortunately Cam managed to keep his expression flat. he did not want to show that he was embarrassed because before his accusation of lying.

"I came to your place because according to my friend, your place is the best place to get. I accidentally saw your photo and decided to pick you."

"Why?"

"Why?" Cam surprised. "Because, you're the only girl I know. If I have to have a woman, I want one I've known."

Cam did not dare to look. He did not want to see Fanny's expression. However, it remained that his eyes glanced to the side, and saw the girl blushing.

"Why do you need a mistress?"

Cam turned his eyes out the window. The question made her re-remember to Fiona following the tightness that still torments her every time she realizes that her most beloved woman has left.

"I just don't want to live alone anymore."
