A month already Shahilla was at her parents' residence. Now Shahilla is only doing her duties as a single daughter who does nothing but help both parents at home and occasionally help her Papa business.
"B . . ". The Papa surprised Shahilla who was planting flowers in the garden behind her house.
"Yes Pa . . ?". Shahilla stopped her work and turned her head towards the Papa who was standing at the door.
Papa/ "Papa wants to talk to you".
"Yes Pa, Shahilla wants to be clean first". Shahilla quickly rose.
"No, we're talking here". Papa approached her and sat down on the garden stone that adorned her courtyard.
Shahilla sat down next to the Papa and was ready to hear the Papa speak.
Papa/" You remember not the time 3 weeks ago when the second Eid al-Fitr Day, when it fit abis magrib friend Papa met with his single child".
Shahilla frowned to remember.
"Well, remember Pa, why Pa?".
Papa/ "Papa's friend's son is his name Akbar, he graduated from Cairo and now he teaches at one of his parents' boarding schools in Siantar and that very night after he saw you drinking, he asked Papa for permission to process Taaruf with you".
Shahilla's face changed between surprise and confusion.
Shahilla couldn't say - she didn't know what to make, she just got down.
"Papa does not force you, just think about it first, you pray istikharah and ask for the right guidance with ALLAH so that you are not wrong to make a decision ". The Papa holds Shahilla's shoulder.
"Yes Pa . . ". Shahilla nodded her head.
Upon hearing that there was a man who wanted to keep his eye on Shahilla only fell silent thinking about what decision she should choose. And occasionally crossed Restu's face in his mind.
"Astaghfirullah . I shouldn't be like this".
And Shahilla decided to pray istikharah in order to be given the right instructions.
After performing his prayers, he pleaded with ALLAH.
"YES ALLAH, O Rabbi Ya Rahman, O Rahim, you guide thee most righteous, you know the whole world and the heart of all your servants, O ALLAH give you the right guidance for me, which step I must take, which decision I must choose, O ALLAH please protect the servant from love that is not from you, Please remove the one that I always call in my heart, please strengthen myself so that I can let go of him who is not mine, You are the One who turns back your heart, help your servant, O ALLAH, Rabbana Aatina Fiddunnia Khasanah Waafiil Akhatiotii khasanah Waqinaa Azabannar, Aamiin Ya Robbal'alaamiin".
After taking care of her prayer set, Shahilla sat back on her desk chair, holding and looking at Aina and Restu's wedding invitation, which was only 3 days away.
"It is no longer the heart that torments your heart by assuring that it is the choice of the Almighty for you. Do not force the situation because it may be created only for you to admire but not for you to have. Let the prayer take care of and keep the best of this heart, and Let it be Fate that will answer it"
