Originally, Ye Mo was able to attend the Scavenger Hunt that would be conducted in two days using the quota of the Xiao Clan. It was not that he was interested in obtaining resources from the Mo Clan, but rather the Bill of Pill Lord. It was an extremely rare and comprehensive volume detailing the procedures involved in manufacturing all kinds of pills, and he was determined to obtain them.
As he walked along the streets of Limestone City, he saw an unusually large crowd gathered in the City Square.
The Town Square was large enough to accommodate ten thousand people. The ground is covered with hard slabstone. In the center of the square was a hastily constructed stage, and on it stood a middle-aged man making an announcement.

“Gentlemen and ladies, in just two days is the Scavenger Hunt for the resources of the Mo Clan. The Qin Clan, the Ye Clan, and the Xiao Clan have kindly given us one quota in the competition. In order to keep things fair, each clan is allowed to have representatives come and take part in the duel, and the final winner will represent all of us smaller clans. We may not be the last winner of the hunt, but we will get as many resources as possible!”
Clap it! Clap it! Clap it!
The crowd cheered, drowning the square with applause and shouts of joy. These small clans in the Limestone City had some outstanding martial artists in their midst as well, with the prodigy of children reaching the Third Spirit-processing Realm and teenagers reaching the Fifth or Sixth Spirit-Producing Realm in the Leng Clan, the Luo Clan, and the more famous Xiang Clan.
Ye Mo looked at Leng Leng among the crowd, so he walked towards him. His eyes sparkled happily when he saw her, and he quickly pulled her closer and said excitedly, "Sister Ye Mo, what brings you here?"
"Klan Xiao kicked me out," he said as he shrugged.
Leng Leng seemed to be deep in thought, as if he had a vague idea of why, but he decided not to pursue her and, instead, comforted her. “If you can't stay in the Xiao Clan, come to the Leng Clan. We are not the Xiao Clan, but at least we will give you a place to stay.”
Although Leng Leng could sometimes be mischievous, he had a heart of gold. Ye Mo felt very moved by her words.
"So what's going on here?" ask Ye Mo.
“All the smaller clans in Limestone City fought for that one quota. Too bad we didn't even qualify, ”pout Leng Leng.
"There aren't any strong teenage martial artists in the Leng Clan?" ask Ye Mo.
For this competition, the age range was wider than usual, where every martial artist below 20 qualified, so perhaps a Spirit Cultivating Seventh Realm martial artist might even appear.
“Those people are no match for me or my brother. I might as well take their place. I'm just here to watch the show" Leng Leng said.
Ye Mo nodded and turned his gaze back to the stage.
“As for the rules, there is only one rule: no death! Now, who wants to start this?” the host said as his eyes crossed the crowd.
A black-clothed man with long hair and majestic features jumped onto the stage, gave a small salute to the host, and announced, "Klan Luo, Luo Tong!"
“Luo Tong of the Luo Clan! He ranked sixth on the Limestone City Champion List last year and was almost recruited into the Three Major Alliances. He should be at least the Sixth Spirit Cultivating Realm. ”
“It looks like Luo Tong will represent us in the Scavenger Hunt.”
As the crowd whispered amongst themselves, a gray-clothed teenager jumped onto the stage. He carried a long sword and looked down on Luo Tong with disdain as he said, “Luo Tong, I lost to you last time. It won't be that easy this time."
“Isn't that Xiang Wentian of the Xiang Clan? Even he had reached the Sixth Realm of Spirit Cultivation by now. It's hard to tell who's going to win."
Luo Tong and Xiang Wentian were both Spirit Cultivating Sixth Realm martial artists. The weapons they used were all high-level Mortal Weapons, and even the martial techniques they used were very similar, meaning that their dueling experience would be the deciding factor as to who the winner was.
Without a word, the two rivals began to duel. Both of them used long swords; each punch showed a sharp sense of its user. Luo Tong specialized in water-based techniques, and each attack was gentle yet unyielding, whereas Xiang Wentian specialized in heavenly-based techniques. Each of his attacks was filled with unceasing power.
"Sister Ye Mo, who do you think will win?" asked Leng Leng, who was affectionately gripping Ye Mo's arm.
“I bet Xiang Wentian. Although there seemed to be no clear winner at the moment, Xiang Wentian had a clear advantage over Luo Tong in terms of experience. I'm sure Luo Tong will start to slow down in round ten, " Ye Mo said clearly.
Ye Mo's ability was on par with the Spirit-processing Second Realm where the Gate of his Mind could withstand eight dragons, improving the nervous system. For martial artists in the True Energy Realm, this increase was called Spirit Energy.
The superiority of Spirit Energy lies in the fact that it can elevate one's senses to a whole new level, and Spirit Energy itself can even serve as a weapon.
Eight dragons rushed towards Ye Mo's Gate of Mind, causing his Spirit Energy to increase dramatically, and everything around him suddenly gained new clarity. One thing Dragon Power can do but the other cannot is simulation.
When Ye Mo reached the Spirit Cultivating Realm, he used his Dragon Power to simulate the Formation-Breaking Spear technique despite having an incomplete manual, so of course he could simulate the rest of the duel between Luo Tong and Xiang Wentian.
In accordance with his prediction, after a while, Luo Tong's sword slashed at Xiang Wentian's head, but Xiang Wentian shot to the side, and as he spun, his sword pierced through Luo Tong's shoulder. His heavenly-based technique was renowned for being as strong as steel and his every attack was lightning fast.
Reverse!
Blood splattered everywhere and Luo Tong screamed in pain, his sword falling to the ground with a loud bang. His face was dark with contempt.
"You lost!" xiang Wentian said.
"Huh, I'll get you back!" said Luo Tong. One hand gripped his shoulder and the other took his sword, with a leap, he disappeared among the crowd.
“Xiang Wentian is brilliant! Master Xiang, you really have genius here! ” said one of the family heads to the head of the Xiang Clan impolitely.
“Jenius? No, only those who have entered the Three Major Alliances are truly considered geniuses, ” replied the head of the Xiang Clan, a proud grin on his face betraying his true thoughts.
“Three Major Alliances aren't the only way out there! With Xiang Wentian's ability, enlisting in the Chen Clan Army will also ensure a bright future!”
Some of the family heads chatted for a while but noticed that Xiang Wentian was alone on the stage without any other challengers appearing.
“Leng Leng, with his current prowess, there was no hope for him if he entered the Magic Cave. Does everyone participating in the duel have to be a representative of a clan?” ye Mo asked as he realized that no one was volunteering. This quota on Scavenger Hunt was his only chance at the Book of Pill Lord.
"Oh! I have an idea!" said Leng Leng.
“I want to participate. Do you have any idea how? ” ask Ye Mo.
After hearing his words, Leng Leng blushed and said, "Yes!"
