Bloody Dragon Swordsman

Bloody Dragon Swordsman
Episode 41's. Spirit Valley

The Spirit Valley was located at the southern end of Tianwu Kingdom, considered by most to be a no-man's land.

But like most things, the higher the risk, the greater the reward. Some adventurers were even willing to risk their lives to chase after the treasures in the Spirit Valley, but most ended up there for good. All that was left was a pile of bones and an empty skull with nothing but sadness and regret.

On the other hand, the other people who dared to enter the Spirit Valley and survived, returned with the treasures left behind by the heroes of the past and became stronger than before.

During the past ten days Ye Mo and Qi Ying were traveling, through the forest and mountain, they met some ferocious beasts. Fortunately, they traveled at a fast pace, which meant they had avoided most of the ferocious beasts in the forest. Most of the beasts that came from the Spirit Cultivation Realm and the Energy Forming Realm could use beast magic, but were not intelligent. As long as you don't provoke them, they won't attack you of their own accord.

For a savage beast that came from the True Energy Realm, their intelligence was equivalent to that of a little human child. Unlike the others, these ferocious beasts attacked without warning or reason.

Although they tried to avoid it, they still fought some Spirit Cultivating Realm beasts and gathered their beast cores. The stones were all rainbow-colored, the size of a small egg, and emitted a strange light.

This savage beast core was rather useful as it contained the entire lifespan of a Yuanli ferocious beast and could serve as Yuanli's backup. They are also the main ingredient in making charms.

Ye Mo was slightly panting as they passed through the hundredth mountain. Fortunately, the Rising Dragon Pillar absorbed Yuan Chi continuously, replenishing its Dragon Energy along the way.

Qing Ying revealed his sincere shock when he realized that Ye Mo, who had not even reached the Spirit Cultivation Realm, was able to follow him for ten days of uninterrupted travel in between.

Even for him, a martial artist from the Seventh Realm of Energy Formers, this journey was rather tiring. What a strange young man!

"The Spirit Valley is ahead!" said Qi Ying.

Looking at which direction he was pointing, all he could see was a pitch-black valley, where even the two mountains on each side were equally black. A thick and dark mist surrounded the entire terrain, forming an ominous atmosphere.

“Follow Me Carefully. This place gives me goosebumps, ” Qi Ying said as she slowly headed towards the valley. Right behind him was Ye Mo, who was fully alert as he had never ventured into this land before and treated this as a learning experience.

Even animal waste can be useful. Rubbing it all over one's body could mask their own scent and thus ensure one would not be detected by other animals. Some places were filled with Evil Energy, meaning one had to take preventive medicine before entering these places. This was all part of the new knowledge he had taken from Qi Ying.

When they reached the entrance of the valley, they were greeted by a scene of bones, piles and piles of dried, pale bones, decorated with small insects and spider webs.

Occasionally, a terrifying roar would be heard from within the valley. Surprisingly, even though the wind was blowing fiercely, the purplish dark mist surrounding the valley did not disappear.

“This purple mist is odorless but highly toxic. For beginners, this is the leading cause of death.”

"If I come here alone, I might end up like these people," Ye Mo said with a wry smile.

"Let's go!" said Qi Ying as he slowly disappeared into the cave with Ye Mo following behind him.

Inside the valley were two extremely high pitch-black walls. Its color was the result of a dark fog that was so thick that it could not be penetrated even by sunlight, giving a terrifying aura to the entire place.

Ye Mo broke out in cold sweat, and the two of them quickly hid behind a small hill. This beast was extremely large and brown in color all over its body, resembling a large grizzly bear, except this beast had sharp horns on its forehead and was twice as terrifying.

It was a Horned Bear. The Horned Bear was generally from the Third Realm of Spirit Cultivators, and this particular bear devoured a dead beast, its muzzle monstrous with blood and flesh scraps.

"I'm gonna finish this bear off."

Now that Ye Mo had opened the Gate of his feet, coupled with the fact that they could each channel three units of Dragon Power, he was basically from the Third Realm of Spirit Cultivators. With the Formation Breaking Spear in his hand, the ferocious beasts of the Third Spirit-processing Realm were an easy choice.

With a leap, Ye Mo emerged from hiding. The bear immediately stood up, sensing Ye Mo's presence. It glared at him, and with a jolt of its head, a streak of brown Yuanli was released from the bear horn and shot towards Ye Mo.

This was the so-called beast magic cast by the ferocious beasts. In simpler terms, its human equivalent is a martial technique used by humans. Certain ferocious beasts were so powerful that they could even use human martial techniques, and along with their relatively high intelligence, they were naturally formidable opponents.

Ye Mo turned the spear in his hand several times, dodging Yuanli's rays and aiming directly at the bear's brain. The Horned Bear swung its claws towards the spear, yet a powerful current shot out from the spear from Ye Mo's right Gate. The power of the three dragons exploded all at once, all of them charging towards the bears.

The bear took a few steps back as it absorbed the shock. It swung its claws in the air disorientatedly, and with an angry roar, it rushed towards Ye Mo, tripping over, causing the ground to tremble.

Ye Mo stood firmly on the ground, spear in hand, and used one of the distinctive movements of the spear, Voyage of the Dragon. He, along with his spear, began to spin at an incredible speed, forming the shape of a dragon and piercing the bear with a violent punch!

Ye Mo turned around and looked at the large hole he had made in the bear's chest. With one unyielding look at Ye Mo, the bear fell to the ground with a thud. Although the bear's flesh was extremely hard, it could not withstand the spear's attack.

Although Ye Mo used the Voyage of the Dragon and stabbed the bear, not a single trace of blood hit him. Only a small amount of blood was scattered on the tip of the spear, but it was completely absorbed by the weapon. Ye Mo rummaged through the Horned Bear's brain and picked up a small yellow stone. This bear was an earth-type monster, of course, the essence was also earth-type.

“You easily defeated the Horned Bear despite not having reached the Spirit Cultivation Realm yet. It was amazing, ” Qi Ying said as she emerged from the shadows.

"This is not the only thing that surprises you," Ye Mo said with a grin.

His words sound right. Not only did he defeat beasts from the Third Realm of Spirit Cultivators, he was also able to produce a rank three Stabilizing Pill that contained unique marks and aromas.

“Looks like you got a lot of secrets, young man. I can't wait to uncover everything, ” Qi Ying said as she chuckled.

“Well, I can't let you do that. But I can let you open..my clothes,” joked Ye Mo. The Rising Dragon Pillar was his only secret, and he obviously did not want anyone to know about it.

The two were joking as they traveled deeper into the valley. The valley was surrounded by a thick purple mist, which meant that their vision would be extremely blurry. They suddenly stopped after a while when they saw a flock of Wind Wolves devouring corpses welcoming them.

"Vile creatures!"

With a leap, Ye Mo threw himself towards the Wind Wolf. How dare they disrespect the dead like this!
