Episode 23's. Why Should I Kneel?

Ye Mo arrived at Ye Mei's house but was unable to find her and Xiao Cao. One of the servants there told him that the two of them had gone to the main hall.

“Alchemist Phase 3 is really something, huh? Almost all the important people in the clan were gathered in the main hall. Elder Yin was definitely overjoyed.”

Ye Mo walked out of the room and smiled. Yet Ye Mo was not interested in the celebration. This is just the stage for some important people in Limestone City to come and get on our good side.



Well, since Xiao Cao is in the main hall, I think I should go back and train. Now that Ye Mo had awakened his four channels of Dragon Energy, he could break through all of his Mortal Gates faster. He wanted to complete that feat as soon as possible and reach the Spirit Cultivation Realm. Only then could he fight against geniuses like Ye Changsheng.

As Ye Mo was on his way back to his room, Senior Fu came running and shouted, "Young master, Elder Yin is looking for you everywhere."

With Elder Yin advancing to Stage 3 Alchemist, Ye Mo's status also increased with it, and this alleviated some of Senior Fu's concerns.

“Why is he looking for me?” Ye Mo asked.

“He wants you to go to the main hall,” Senior Fu replied.

"Tell him I'm busy practicing and don't have extra time to go to a noisy place" Ye Mo said and started to leave.

“Please, young master. Now that Elder Yin had risen to become a Phase 3 Alchemist, he became an important person in the Limestone City. If she looks up to you high, you should at least live up to her expectations. Training can wait, ” Senior Fu said. “Our main hall is filled with leading people from the city. You have to go and meet them and make some friends your age. Please don't disappoint your late father.”

Elder Yin and Ye Kuang sat in the middle while the head of the Ye Zhantian Martial Arts Division, was, ye Mei Ye Xiao's father and Ye Hou Ye Di's father stood beside them with Ye Mei and Ye Changsheng.

Ye Mei did not wear her usual battle armor but instead changed into a pink dress. Her smile bloomed like a flower. He held his chest as high as two mountains. Anyone would agree that he was the attention of the entire room.

Most of the youths from the other clans were fixated on Ye Mei. On the other hand, many young women were staring at Ye Changsheng, the prodigy of the Ye Clan who had reached the Fifth Realm of Spirit Cultivation.

“I want to thank everyone for coming!” Ye Kuang said and laughed. As his clan now had Phase 3 Alchemists, his position in the Limestone City also increased.

“No, it should be us who should thank you,” said one of the clan leaders. “Now Elder Yin has advanced to Phase 3 and is able to create a Spirit Strengthening Pill with a mark on it, we other clans will have to rely on the Ye Clan from now on.”

Even though it was a third level training pill, the Spirit Stabilizing Pill would produce better results than the Spirit Strengthening Pill with the mark and the latter was still capable of strengthening one's Meridian Energy and Mortal Gate.

"He's right!" The other clan leaders clapped.

“You are too generous.” Ye Kuang smiled. “We've known each other long enough now. As long as you all will side with me when it matters, I will definitely repay that debt. Elder Yin, do you have anything to say to them?

Ye Mo smiled at the malicious comments made about him. In two months, he would show everyone present that he was better than his father.

"Ye Mo, why don't you get down on your knees?" Ye Kuang asked.

“Why should I kneel?” answer Ye Mo.

“You dare to act tall and mighty in front of Elder Yin ?! You are his assistant, act like one! ” Ye Kuang growled as he sent wind power towards Ye Mo, forcing him to take two steps back.

As soon as Xiao Cao saw what was happening, he quickly ran out and knelt in front of Ye Kuang with his head on the ground. “Master clan! Please don't punish him, I'll replace him. ”

Xiao Cao continued banging his head against the floor until he almost bled.

Surprised by Xiao Cao's actions, Ye Mo quickly pulled him over and said, "Stop, Xiao Cao. I'm not kneeling because I didn't do anything wrong.”

"At least he has guts" Ye Hou growled. To him, the clan king would guard Ye Mo where he stood.

"What are you doing, clan lord?" Elder Yin asked.

Everyone was shocked by Elder Yin's intervention. Could it be that Ye Mo did not upset her?

Ye Kuang's eyes and he forced a smile, "Older Yin, if Ye Mo has done something to upset you, it's natural for me to punish him."

"How is this possible? Elder Yin wanted to thank Ye Mo in front of everyone?” Ye Hou clenched his fists tightly as his face became paler. No one should have known that Ye Mo regained his strength except me. Now his abilities would skyrocket if he got Elder Yin's attention. Its bad. I need to take care of him as soon as possible.
