Part 15 | Farewell

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

"If separation is the last resort for both of them, it's okay that love's destiny is not on their side."

Everyone who listened to the explanation from the doctor fell silent with a thought that had somehow ventured to nowhere. Shandra was so reluctant to stand up from her position, let alone stand looking up like she could not. Fatimah was already sitting leaning against her husband's chest, crying for the son who was unconscious with the reality that made his heart hurt. Rahman sat in a wheelchair next to the princess with her jaw tightened and her face red. He felt that he failed to become a father who chose the wrong soul mate for a mere princess.

"Son, awake. We're leaving now" he said, gently stroking the princess's head.

Shandra lifted her head, staring at the two beads of shady eyes that belonged to the father full of questions. Why did his father say that?

"We started living a new life together. Papah will not force you to stay with the man" he said, staring at the room that houses the son-in-law.

Shandra shook her head slowly and held her father's hand. "Shandra must stay with Mas Farhan, Pah. He's still Shandra's husband" said the woman weakened at the end. No matter how her husband is, she is in the hands of her husband. She didn't want to be cursed by the angels for leaving without her husband's permission.

Rahman shook his head loudly. "When he decided to go with that woman, he was no longer your husband."

"Shandra believes Mas Farhan is not who we think he is. We haven't heard the explanation, Pah," Shandra said.

To believe? It seemed that one word was dashed from her memory when she saw Sarah, the woman who died young pregnant in an accident with her husband. As powerful as he was against that harsh reality, but basically that reality was capable of making a wound in his heart. She admitted that there was no love for her husband yet, but her disappointment in her husband's actions made her hurt.

If he does not want to continue the household together, it's okay he will accept it with a chest of air. Not just doing crazy things behind him, it really hurt his heart. Farhan was the first male present in his life, but he also became the first male to incise blisters. It was a very unpleasant first impression for him.

"The father already does not want to hear the lies he strung together," Rahman denied so overwhelmed with emotion.

The jewel of his heart, his solace hurt by a selfless man, he will not accept it. He had to work hard to educate and raise the princess with an abundance of affection, but all his daughter now had was pain.

"But, Pah...."

"There's no buts! Go home now and leave him, "the break is irrefutable.

"Go home, forgive your son who hurt and hurt your heart. Mamah sincerely if it is the best for your happiness, because it is the son of Mamah who destroyed everything" said Fatimah when she was near her daughter-in-law.

Shandra just silently looked at her two in-laws eyes which so implied a deep sense of disappointment and heartache.

"Don't hate Mamah if you're separated" her great-granddaughter hugged the body of the daughter-in-law she loved so much.

Shandra returned a warm embrace from Fatimah, the twinkling of tears had started to fall from both corners of her eyes. The words of the in-laws so made his heart go rogue. Fatimah released her embrace and removed the clear liquid that was so presumptuous flooding the beautiful face of the daughter-in-law. "Thank you for being the best daughter-in-law to Mamah and forgive Mamah's son."

Shandra shook her head weakly. "You don't talk like that" he said.

Fatimah brought the body of the son-in-law back into her arms. His hands were endlessly stroking the back and the top of the daughter-in-law's head was full of affection. His lips never tired of saying sorry for the actions of the son who was so insolent to hurt the heart of women like Shandra.

Fatimah waited for her only son with an anxious and pounding heart. No matter how much the fault of the son he is still his son who he must take care of and take care of with all his heart. Although there was a sense of dislike when he looked at the unconscious face of the son.

He sat in a chair beside his son's gurney, but Farhan had yet to show any signs of consciousness. She was alone there because her husband was out of town to take care of their abandoned business.

"Why do you dare to do something like this, son? Mom and Dad don't teach you that kind of thing. Suppose you tell us you already have another girl you want to marry, we'll definitely cancel the match." The fear of regret and disappointment is very dominating on the faces of old Fatimah.

He could not blame the son completely, because maybe this incident happened starting from him and the husband. If the matchmaking does not happen maybe something like this will never be experienced. He had much to meditate and surrender to the Divine. He shouldn't blame his destiny now.

Not meeting his daughter-in-law, causing a deep longing, like something empty in his heart. Women with a beautiful face decorated with dimples, thin lips, narrow eyes, and a runny nose. However, the beauty seemed to disappear because the daughter-in-law who always showed a flat face without expression. Only occasionally did he see the thin smile that his daughter-in-law wore. Yeah, just a finger count.

However, immediately the smile was lost replaced with a careless face full of tears caused by his favorite son. Twice he saw the tears, the departure of the iron and when the son did something that hurt his son-in-law a few hours ago. Her daughter-in-law was very good at covering up what she was feeling in front of many people, but if she was no longer strong enough to cover everything, she was just like most other women who could shed tears when her heart was hurt.
