Chapter 28. Daffa Engagement Day

After his quarrel with Citra at school, Adel always avoided Daffa. He does not want to be considered as a disturber of people's relationships even though he is the victim here.

Adel always locked himself in the room. He knew that tonight was the day of Daffa and Citra's engagement.

Adel looked at the invitation that was specifically given by Citra's friend for him.

"How is this. whether or not I should attend. If I was present.I was afraid I could not hold back my tears but if I did not attend, Citra thought I would not be willing to for this engagement... "

While daydreaming Adel heard the door of his room being knocked.

"Come in. not locked"

Mika went into the room and sat on the edge of the bed, watching Adel who was sitting leaning against the head of the bed while hugging the doll.

"If you cannot make it present, do not force it, than your heart will be hurt and sad"

"But I don't want Citra to consider myself a loser if I'm not present"

"Don't listen to people.. "

"Mika.. I want to attend, but please take me away if you see me can't be there later"

"Alright, but try to think again.. whether you really want to attend... "

As the afternoon approached, Adel told Mika that he would attend Daffa and Citra's engagement party which would be held at one of the star hotels.

Mika waits for Adel in the living room while playing mobile phone. Adel does not need to go to the salon to decorate himself. He just wiped his face with thin makeup.

Adel came out wearing a knee-length black dress without arms. She looks beautiful in the right clothes.

Mika looked at Adel without blinking..

"Hey. I'm ready. Are we leaving now" said Adel waving his hand in front of Mika's face who was just silent without a sound.

"Mikaaa." said Adel slightly shouting because there was no response from Mika.

"Eh. yes, you are very beautiful. "said Mika finally.

"Thank you. You are also very handsome" Adel said, he did not lie. Mika looks handsome with a white line ash suit.

"Yuk. later we can be late because the clock is like this the road is jammed"

They left for the hotel where Daffa and Citra's engagement party took place without. Adel dissolved in his mind as did Daffa.

Arriving at the hotel, it looks like a crowded car and guests. Many of the school friends looked.

Mika opens the door for Adel. But Adel did not want to get out of the car.

"Do you doubt. if you doubt we go home yes. "said Mika while bowing her body to be in line with Adel.

"Mika.. I want to attend, but there is something that makes me doubt. It wasn't Daffa and Adel's engagement that made me doubtful, but I was afraid to meet someone who would make me sad.. "

Mika knew, surely what Adel meant was his mother. He will definitely be very sad when he sees his biological mother accompanying the girl who has snatched his lover.

"Then you don't have to be present.. "

"But we're already here.. "Adel finally got out of the car.

"Come on. I need to be strong. Why do I think of that person, who probably never thought of me even once... "

"That's new Adel. You have to show them that you are a tough girl. Can't show your desperation.they'll be happy to see you slumped"

Adel and Mika enter the hotel ballroom where the engagement of Daffa and Citra took place by holding Mika's hand.

Mika who was not ready with Adel's behavior was very surprised.

"Mika.. I can borrow your hand yes. make me stronger. "whisper Adel.

"You can borrow my whole body and my heart for where you lean. "

Many eyes from schoolmates looked towards them. All looked on in envy as Adel and Mika looked very harmonious with the matching colors of the clothes, as if they were indeed planning everything. Though both Adel and Mika never agreed or agreed to wear matching clothes. It's all just a coincidence..
