Bamboo Flute Swordsman

Bamboo Flute Swordsman
Chapters 21. The Story of Ki Rana

After watching Jaka for a long time, the bamboo-clothed man approached Jaka and sat at the same table. Jaka was amazed by the arrival of the old man, Jaka felt like he had never met him. In addition to using bamboo caping, the old man wore black clothes.

"Sorry Kisanak, have we met before?" ask Jaka.

"Even though it is new. Have you forgotten me?” the old man asked again as he opened his bamboo caping and put it back on. Jaka was surprised by the old man who was now in front of him. Almost Jaka mouth keceplosan mention the name of the old man but soon undone after seeing a sign to remain silent. Yes, this old man has the title of the Life-Attractor.

"Uncle, what are you doing in this village?" ask Jaka.

"I'm just waiting for the rat cubs I've been looking for a long time" he replied lightly.

A rat? Jaka actually did not understand what the swordsman in front of him said, but Jaka did not want to discuss further. Jaka then ordered another jar of good quality wine for them to drink together.

"Oh yes, you can call me by the name of Ki Rana." then answered with a nod of the head by Jaka.

"You yourself what are you doing in this village?" ask Ki Rana.

"Oh. if I'm just passing by uncle. I want to go to the West Matraman Kingdom." replied Jaka.

Ki Rana frowned after hearing Jaka's reply, he did not expect that the West Matraman Kingdom was the destination of Jaka. The kingdom was arguably quite worrisome condition, little by little the territory was invaded by the forces of the Northern Matraman Kingdom.

Ki Rana then asked Jaka the reason for heading to the kingdom. Jaka also explained that Jaka had just finished his training, then Jaka was asked by his teacher to go down the mountain just to find experience and help people who are in trouble. Not to forget also Jaka explained his teacher's special request is to meet King Angga from the West Matraman Kingdom.

"Who is your teacher Jaka?" ask Ki Rana.

"Eyang Resi Danurwinda." replied Jaka briefly.

Instantly Ki Rana choked with his own breath, then poured wine into a bronze glass and then drank it to the end. Ki Rana still could not believe what his ears had just heard, Ki Rana then asked him once again and again got the same answer from Jaka.

"So, it's good to find a better place." Ki Rana left the store but previously paid for all the dishes ordered by himself and Jaka. Jaka then followed Ki Rana's foot stepping.

Now they have been in the forest near Batang Hari Village. Ki Rana explained that Batang Hari Village was part of the North Matraman Kingdom. He was worried that in the village there were people from the North Matraman Kingdom. In this place, the two of them could talk to each other without fear of anyone hearing. The two then looked for a comfortable seat under a shady tree.

Ki Rana really does not believe, to the knowledge of him Resi Danurwinda has disappeared from the jungle for more than ten years. At this time even in front of him appeared a young man who claimed to be a disciple of the Danurwinda Resi.

"No uncle, I dare to swear on the name of the heavens" replied Jaka reassuringly.

Jaka then explained the beginning of his meeting with the Danurwinda Rishis, starting from the story of his village which was taken by force by the forces of the North Matraman Kingdom. Jaka who was a child then decided to leave the village and instead fainted in the middle of the forest. It was Rishi Danurwinda who helped him and taught him the science of kanuragan.

"Maybe this is your destiny Jaka."

"You will be a peerless warrior in the future" said Ki Rana.

Jaka just stared at Ki Rana without any intention of answering his statement.

Ki Rana then tells Jaka about himself. Ki Rana came from the Swamp Dewun Village which is now the territory of the South Matraman Kingdom. Once Ki Rana was leaving the village to become a swordsman, he was imprisoned in a cave close to the slopes of Mount Dewa.

Previously Ki Rana had dreamed of becoming a great warrior, he helped the weak and eradicated the wrath. The dream happened for three nights in a row. Ki Rana became worried about the realization of his dream. He thought the dream was just a sleeping flower.

Then Ki Rana told the dream to his wife, unexpectedly the wife suggested to follow the instructions of his dream. The wife argues that the dream is not just a sleeping flower if it happens repeatedly as experienced by her husband.

Finally with a steady step Ki Rana left the village and looked for a place that was in accordance with the instructions of his dream. That place was a cave that was on the mountain slope. The cave was covered by shrubs, near the entrance overgrown with towering grass until it closed the entrance of the cave. After finding the door of the cave, Ki Rana began to enter it.

The cave was like no one had inhabited it for a long time, visible from the many nests of bats and spider webs. Ki Rana went deeper than the cave, he found a room that was quite spacious.

In the middle of the room there is a black stone that is quite flat, this black stone can be used as a place to meditate.

In the cave Ki Rana got enlightenment about the science of kanuragan and devotion after ascetic for three full moons. In the cave also Ki Rana trained very actively for five years, this can happen because Ki Rana is not young anymore and his talent is not as lucky as others.

In the cave also Ki Rana studied Ajian Brajamusti, this study is very great. According to the book he found in the cave, Ajian Brajamusti is divided into four levels. Those levels are beginner, intermediate, peak, and perfect levels. This presentation allows users to be able to destroy targets that are targeted, be it inanimate objects such as rocks, trees, and warriors even though there is rarely anyone who can match this study.

Currently Ki Rana has reached the peak level of Ajian Brajamusti. With this study Ki Rana has killed many warriors from the black stream. Until one time Ki Rana met with Resi Danurwinda, the two had been involved in a fierce fight due to misunderstanding between them.

Ki Rana who was confident with his Ajian Brajamusti was able to be defeated by Resi Danurwinda. Luckily Resi Danurwinda had no intention to kill him back then. Resi Danurwinda then advised Ki Rana not to follow his lust in killing. Ki Rana wanted to thank Resi Danurwinda but the sage was no longer in front of him. After that meeting he never met again until now.

"That's my story of Jaka until I met your teacher."
