Upon arrival at the hotel Angel rushed to the room, his hands seemed to freeze. He raised the room temperature ten degrees higher than he should, after sitting a few minutes under the blanket then his body temperature returned to normal. Angel can endure all the pain, and bear all the burden of suffering, but cold temperatures are the only thing that can paralyze her in an instant. Angel himself does not understand the condition of his body that is not able to withstand temperatures below twenty degrees Celsius, he never went to the doctor and all he does is continue to avoid cold temperatures.
Angel stared at the ceiling, her mind still filled with Arnold's shadow. The burly and beautiful man who lay helpless due to his own actions, Angel felt uneasy.
“What happened actually, why the tattoo was not there. If Arnold was the killer he should have had that tattoo, like the two men who shot Daddy. Selena, Louis. Where are you?, Can't either of you find my whereabouts.” Angel continued to complain, something she had never done before.
His psychic walls are already on the verge of collapse, Angel is almost crazy. But still sane enough not to believe in anyone, Angel felt it took time to be alone. He wants to walk around and play in the snow, maybe that way his mind will return clear. Angel checks the closet for a spare coat, and settles out of the apartment. In front of the lobby he saw Smith who was calling, Angel was curious but the distance was far enough that he did not hear anything. As Angel approaches and searches for a safe place to hide, he begins to hear Smith's conversation.
“Is the man dead?...., Nice work the girl is indeed reliable pity we will finish him soon.”
‘extinguishing, does that mean killing?. But who.’ Inner Angel.
“How about Rachel she didn't mess up, did she?... Good, we have to finish off the old woman's life as well. If necessary today is also not a problem, and it would be better if Rachel died there.” Smith smiled triumphantly, yet he felt someone following him from behind Smith turned his head. As fast as lightning Angel turned the door knob, and entered the room of another person.
“Hey, miss what are you doing here. You're not in the wrong room, are you?.”
Angel turned her head, and the man almost shouted as soon as he saw Angel's face.
“Aqi..”.
As fast as lightning Angel approached and shut the man's mouth.
“Please Mr. James, this is for your mother's safety. Don't tell Smith I'm here, ah... Looks like he's on his way here. I'll hide.”
Angel is looking for the safest place to hide leaving James confused, as Angel had guessed. Smith came and opened the door.
“Did anyone come in here?.” Smith asked suspiciously.
“Nothing, why. Is something wrong?.” James pretended to be stupid and knew nothing.
“Just. You don't want to die shot instead.” Smith left with a suspicious tone, he slammed the door hard.
After making sure Smith was gone James rushed to lock the door, and told Angel to come out of hiding.
“Come out, are you going to keep hiding under the mattress.”
Angel peeked, after making sure the condition was safe then he came out from under the bed.
“What do you want to say, you said my mother was in danger. What do you mean say so.”
“Smith, he's a liar. Whatever he said was all fake, I heard his conversation on the phone. He'll kill Rachel and your mother, as well as me.”
James was surprised, but he didn't want to just trust Angel. The last time James believed it, he ended up with his mother almost dead in the hospital. Realizing James' doubts, Angel tried to convince him.
“You know the Jack I shot this morning, he's not Jack. He is Arnold, one of our clients.”
“Then?. What does this have to do with my mom?.”
“Did he say something before, do you know about this?.”
“Kurasa no. Say it clearly and stop pleasantries.”
“Begini, when I came to your house I saw a dead surveillance camera. I felt strange, and it turned out that my guess was right. The camera was a bomb, and I heard it. Your home, will be blown up today.”
“Stop lying.”
“I tell you the truth, if you still insist. We'd better go visit your mother.”
James thought for a moment, he could not trust Angel but he did not want his mother in danger.
“Alright we'll go, just just make sure that you're lying.”
“You can shoot me in the head if I lie to you.”
James opened the door, he went out and saw things around. After making sure everything was safe, they walked towards the parking lot. Angel disguised by wearing James clothes, although looks great Angel has no trouble wearing it.
“I forgot, Smith brought his car. I don't have another vehicle.”
“I'll talk to someone here maybe someone would be kind enough to lend them their car.”
“You're sure, I think we'll take a taxi.”
“Cute me.”
“This as the rental fee, if there is any damage we will replace it double.”
“It doesn't need to be so, hope your in-laws are in good health. Be careful, the road is now quite slippery because of the snow.”
“Thank you ladies and gentlemen, once again I thank you.”
James and Angel continue their journey to South Yosemite, although James' slippery road driving at high speed makes them slip and almost hit the sidewalk. Luckily James had braked, for fear James lowered the speed of the car. Along the way they just kept quiet, Angel began to feel cold and rubbed his hands several times. Smith saw Angel's uneasiness, feeling he could not bear to start the conversation.
“What's the temperature that cold, since you shivered.”
“Not really.” Angel replied with a sniff that made James reluctant to continue.
The mood was silent for a moment.
“Sorry.., I used to do evil to you. I think I can avenge myself, in fact I actually cause revenge for others.”
“You are guilty, but my mother always forgives you. I think my mom likes you.”
Angel looked up, glancing at James. Once the man looked so young and excited, now he looks so tired as if reluctant to continue living.
“How about your career as a federal agent.”
“I'm fired. You stole my most valuable documents, should all the mafia be put to death by now. But you screwed it all up.”
Angel looked down, she never felt so sorry. His body was cold, but his heart was starting to warm. Angel reflected on the happiness and warmth Ms. gave. Taylor told him, even though he only stayed for a few months there.
“I'm sorry, if you will after all this is done. I'll restore your honor.”
James remained silent and focused on the streets, the snow began to fall slowly even with low intensity. Angel stared at the snow falling, he remembered the little girl he shot the other day. Angel felt sad, the girl resembled her before. The frightened, and do not know what wrong has been done by his parents until he got misfortune.
They did not feel they had driven far enough, they were only a few hundred meters away from James' house. James wants to park his car in front of the house but is stopped by Angel, Angel asks James to turn the direction and park the car quite far from his house.
“Why not just go straight, isn't this a waste of time.”
“If you want to congratulations trust me.”
They walk to James' house, the snowy streets slightly complicate Angel's steps. About fifty meters from James' house, Angel saw something wrong from inside. The surveillance cameras that were originally off began to show signs, the small red lights flashing slowly and the longer it went faster. James was about to arrive fenced in, seeing the flashing lights the faster Angel pulled James' body forcefully making them face down on the sidewalk.
Duarrr.........
A deafening big explosion, the house was smashed. Some pieces of wood scattered in the street, there are some that bounced to hit cars and neighboring houses. James was panicked and in shock, he was about to run to his house. Angel knew they were in danger of rushing James away, after being far away and almost arriving at the car, another explosion came from James' car, which was parked in the front yard. Angel pushed James' body into the car, James thrashed even though their energy was not balanced Angel still trying. He just wants to survive, so he can repay Smith's actions.
“We're late, stupid... I'm a fool, I shouldn't have left mom alone.” James continues to wrangle no reason, Angel continues to hold James' body “You don't understand, I've almost lost it once and now he..... Really go.”
Angel hugged and patted James slowly to comfort him, Angel was shocked. His body trembled, but he tried to hold back.
“I understand, please calm down.”
“How come, you don't understand me very well. I have to get out, maybe there's still a chance to see mom stay alive.”
James was about to forcefully open the door, Angel held him back and pulled him firmly.
“Do not do anything in vain, if we are found out it is difficult for us to take revenge. Trust me Mr.”
James hugged Angel tightly, crying. Angel felt a deep sadness, her tears coming.
“I never took good care of her, I never made her happy. I used to yell at him, and lied to him often. L'm...... I always made her suffer, I never followed her wishes. I can't even take him on vacation where he wants to be, I'm selfish..... He always took good care of me, even though I wasn't his real son. She volunteered to be a spinster for her life just to take care of a child like me. I'm a fool, I should have blown up with Mom. God how can I live without a mother by my side, mother.”
“Stop crying sir, you're a great guy. A mother will feel happy if she sees her child happy.”
“I'm sorry, I'm overreacting. I'll avenge that man. Smith should get his reply.” James took off his embrace slowly.
“Don't be too passionate, Smith isn't a random person. Trust me, I have a plan.”
This time it was Angel driving the car, they had to return to the apartment before Smith found out that they were leaving secretly from the apartment. Angel drives at high speed, he does not care about slippery roads until several times they almost slip. After the journey filled with the aura of sadness they reached the apartment, it usually took at least three hours but this time they had arrived in almost two hours.
“Tonight, I invited him to my room. So get ready, I need you to hide in my room. We'll attack him together.”
James nodded in agreement, there was nothing he could think of other than grief from his mother being killed by the explosion.
