Actions Ardi

The rays of the sun, dim slowly. Obstructed and covered by gray clouds that paraded into irregular rows. As if to be a sign, that the sky will send its goodness, as the source of life from the Almighty.

As the drizzle began to fall, the sound of an old motorbike belonging to one of the young entrepreneurs in Surabaya, began to enter the courtyard of a magnificent house. The two-storey house looks so charming, with quite unique architecture in each corner.

"Kenzo!" Call a boy, who suddenly came out the front door running.

"Summer? You're here?" Kenzo just got home from school.

"Yes. So right, this is your house? It's so good for your house." Said the boy enthusiastically.

"Come, to my room!" Get Kenzo right away.

Kenzo immediately grabbed the shoulder of the boy who was suddenly in his house. Kenzo, who was too happy because of the boy's arrival, did not ask the reason or how the boy could get to his house.

Yes, he is Umar. Umar was brought by Handoko from Adit's house. Although, Handoko had to argue with Adit and the rest of her house first. A long and complicated debate certainly.

Handoko's arrival to Adit's house, in fact, is at Ardi's request. Ardi had guessed, if Adit would do anything to keep Umar with him. Including taking Umar away. Because he was sure, there were not many lawyers in his city, who dared to face two lawyers of his trust that he asked to handle the case Aini.

The Flashback

"What's the schedule after this?" Ask Ardi when he finishes his meeting with his managers.

"You have an appointment with Mr. Malik. He wants to discuss his work plan with you." Dika replied as he walked with Ardi back to his room.

"Where are we meeting?"

"Rose Gold Hotel."

"okay."

Ardi and Dika immediately prepare to leave the office. Time showed it was almost eleven o'clock in the afternoon when Ardi's car came out of his office parking lot. And when passing in front of the house of Dewi, Dika stopped his car suddenly.

"Why stop?" Ask Ardi curiously.

"That's Mr. Adit, sir. Miss Aini's ex-husband." Point Dika, across the street.

Ardi followed Dika's hand. He could also see clearly, Adit entered the counter belonging to Aini's employer. The same place he had been.

Ardi and Dika pay close attention to what Adit is doing at the counter. Until Aini arrives with her employer, then has a big fight with Adit. Although not heard clearly Aini and Adit debate, but Ardi and Dika can still hear it even from afar.

Ardi was surprised by Aini's attitude. He could vehemently refute and reply to Adit's every word while holding back his anger so as not to get out of control.

"Great! I didn't judge you wrong." Ardi murmured, when he saw Aini and Adit had a big fight at the Dewi counter.

Ardi was stunned when he saw Aini's body slumped after Adit's departure. His instincts naturally appeared. He wanted to go out and approach Aini to calm her down and encourage her. In fact, there is a sense of wanting to hug and strengthen the heart of the woman who is now in the arms of the employer while sobbing.

"We continue the journey, sir?" Ask Dika suddenly.

Ardi's hand, which had begun to stretch out to hold the car's door handle, was about to open it, immediately stopped instantly.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Ardi flat.

Netra handsome businessman, still fixed staring at the woman who was still in the arms of the employer. His heart really wanted to come to him and strengthen his heart. But he also realized, he was nothing to Aini. No more than people who are transacting for the sake of each other. It would look very strange, if he obeyed his heart.

"Begging Handoko and Feri to apply for protection to the Child Protection Commission for Umar, as soon as possible. Create a false warrant to trick Adit, in order to pick up Umar as soon as possible, if necessary. I'm sure Adit will do anything to keep Umar from returning to Aini." Ardi said after his car drove back.

"Good, sir." Sahut Dika while staying focused on driving.

"Recall to visit the Child Protection Commission's office tomorrow with Handoko and Ferries." Imbuh Ardi's.

"Good, Sir. I understand." Answer Dikah understands.

Dika immediately contacted Handoko and Feri, the lawyer who handled Aini's case, to make an appointment with them tomorrow. He also expressed Ardi's desire to them. They are also very familiar with Ardi's wishes.

And true, the process took several days, said the officer in the office of the Child Protection Commission. So, Ardi was determined to make a false warrant to strengthen Handoko's actions tomorrow to pick up Umar.

Ardi cheated on Adit? What harm? Wasn't Adit cheating on Aini, so he could win custody of Umar? That's Ardi's thinking.

Flashback Off

Handoko brought Umar to Ardi's residence at Ardi's request. He had been told that Rama and Niken would accompany Umar while Ardi had not yet returned. Ardi also told his parents about it.

"Why don't you go to school?" Kenzo asked after he reached his room with Umar.

"I can't go with Dad." Umar Honestly.

"So far, who are you here with?"

"Om Handoko."

"Om Handoko's? Papa's friend?"

"Yes. Handoko also said that. He's your papa's friend." Answer Umar plain.

Two boys whose age was only a few months adrift, immediately dissolved in chatter and stories full of excitement. They play together like they did at school.

"Assalamu'alaikum." Greet a well-dressed man, from the doorway of Kenzo's room.

"Wa'alaikumussalam." Umar and Kenzo answered simultaneously.

"Father!" Call Kenzo happy.

Yes, he's Ardi. Ardi just got home from work. He accidentally went home early, because there was an appointment with Handoko and Feri at his home.

Ardi immediately approached two boys who were busy working on PR in Kenzo's room. He greeted Umar and was greeted by Umar, who had met him before. Not to forget, Ardi handed the provisions he requested from Aini earlier to Umar. Umar accepted it happily.

"Thank you, Om." Umar said sincerely.

"Yes. Eat up!" Pinta Ardi was attentive.

Umar immediately ate the food that Ardi brought. The food he ordered Aini to make last week. Not to forget, he shared it with Kenzo and Ardi. Ardi smiled and saw that Umar was happy with such a simple thing.

"Om, I guess, what time will I pick up Umar? Was he not angry that Umar played here all day?" Umar asked Ardi, who had finished his discussion with two of his trusted lawyers.

"In the meantime, Umar lived here first. No papa, right?" Reply Ardi slowly.

Umar was silent for a moment. "Why Om?"

"Umar won't stay with you?" Ask Ardi for attention.

Umar nodded innocently. The seven-and-a-half-year-old boy could not lie to his heart. He really wants to go back to live with his mother.

"Patience in a moment! Umar can definitely stay with mom later. And before that, Umar lived here first huh? Same as Kenzo."

"Are you not angry?"

"Mother is trying to persuade your father, so you can stay with him later."

"Are you going to give permission to Mother? All this time, I never let you meet Umar."

"Therefore, the mother is trying so that you can stay with the mother continue later."

The boy's eyes suddenly glazed over. "Mother!"

"What's wrong with you, Mar?" Kenzo asked who saw Umar begin to cry.

"I miss mom." Umar Honestly.

"Patience a moment! Mother must miss you right now." Entertain Ardi.

Ardi and Kenzo hugged Umar warmly. They knew that Umar really missed his mother. Moreover, he could not meet his mother at school.

Umar finally wants to stay in Kenzo's house. With hope, he would be able to stay with his biological mother after this.

Umar did not want to live with his father. Only, the attitude of his father who did not allow Umar to meet with Aini, made Umar very disappointed. Moreover, he began to be often scolded by his father and mother just because of simple things that are very natural if done by children his age.

Hadi always defended Umar. But, again due to his condition that is not as good as before, he also has trouble keeping Umar while being scolded by Adit and Ratri. While Suharti, began to pay more attention and love Umar's sister now.

Life's road. Sometimes it doesn't match what we expect. Sometimes not what we planned. But rest assured, there is always goodness behind every path of life we go through.

Time goes on and goes on. Climbing every thing that has been outlined by the ink of the destiny of the Power. Stringing story after story, so that the heart can find every wisdom behind it.

The day keeps changing. Everything went as it should. One month already, Umar's custody battle case goes to court. Aini has repeatedly come to court to attend the hearing that must be passed.

Adit eventually finds a lawyer willing to help him keep Umar by his side. Lawyers from out of town are indeed quite professional and no less reliable than two lawyers Ardi.

Ardi did not just hands off with Aini's case. He monitored and helped two of his lawyers to win this simple case. He even, several times attended the trial that must be lived Adit and Aini. And, until now, Adit and Aini did not know, if Umar lived in Ardi's house.

Aini just put her face down, when her phone rings, a sign of a phone call goes to her number. He grabbed it and read the caller's name.

"Sir Ardi?" Guman Aini after reading the name listed on his phone screen.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Ni."

"Wa'alaikumussalam, sir."

"I want to meet you. There's something I have to tell you."

"What's up, sir?" Ask Aini curiously.

"Meet me tomorrow at the Rose Gold Hotel, room 507, seven o'clock at night. I'll say it there."

"Oh, yes sir."

"And prepare yourself well!"

Aini speechless. "For what, sir?"

"Your promise."

"Promise?"

"Yes. Alright. Wassalamu'alaikum."

"Wa'alaikumussalam."

The call is over soon. Aini sat on the edge of her bed with a pretty confused mind. What's the reason Ardi wants to see him tomorrow? And in fact, Ardi asked to meet at the hotel.

"Have the results come out? Why should I be at the hotel?" Aini muttered while dropping her body onto the bed.

"Did the results not match? And Mr Ardi invoicing our agreement? Abaghfirullah!"

Aini immediately got up from her position. He immediately panicked at the thought of the thing he had just said. Because indeed, Ardi and Aini have no agreement other than regarding the process of fighting for custody of Umar. Which is now taking place in court, and almost reached the decision of the judge.

Promises must be paid and kept. So that there are no regrets later on. But, does such a promise, also have to be kept?
