After the Farewell

After the Farewell
Farewell

The sound of a hammer being tapped made Kara Gantari flinch. Today is the verdict of the divorce hearing between her and her husband uh her ex-husband Adi Saputro. Their marriage was finally over. They had been married for a year and today they have to decide everything.

Kara glanced at her husband uh now her ex-husband who just stared straight ahead without even looking or glancing at her, just like during their year of marriage.

Kara's lawyer was her friend when she was in college named Faizal Dance and had helped her all this time even Tari willing not to be paid or pro Bono because she knew Kara only had a little money savings. Dari was upset with Kara's husband who for a year only made her friend as a shield to get an inheritance.

By Islamic law, you have sinned greatly Adi! Just because Kara is still being kind for you to get what you want! And now I'm asking for Kara's ration!

Now all four, Adi and his lawyer and Tari and Kara are in an empty room in the religious court building. Tari gave the file a request from Kara. Actually Kara does not want to ask for the treasure gono-gini, but Tari forces that Adi has little responsibility to Kara.

Adi looked at Dari coldly. "Is this all he's asking for?" ask the man.

"Yes. Kara just asked for a dowry and a birthplace that you never gave and I accumulated. In addition to your dowry jewelry because it's Kara's right, you have to give your ex-wife 250 jt." Dance stared intently at the arrogant man before her.

Adi has her lawyer take out the dowry jewelry given by her while married and transfer the money to Kara.

Dance was still staring coldly while Kara looked down and opened her phone when she heard a notification. It turned out that the money from her ex-husband had gone into her account.

"Have you? Done already? Since today we have no relationship anymore huh!" adi said coldly and cynically to Kara who just stared nanar at her ex-husband. A husband who never looked at himself, a husband who only needed him for the sake of his grandfather's legacy.

"Yes mas. We have no relationship anymore" Kara replied.

Adi walked with steady steps and looked arrogant followed by his lawyer. Dance could only stroke her chest and then glanced at Kara who was silently shedding tears.

Dance then hugged Kara. "Cry today but tomorrow you can't cry anymore! You must be strong! Model men are so inappropriate you cry Ra!"

Kara just nodded. Dance right! For a year I was wasted like a useless item.

Adi entered his house with a sense of relief to be separated from the hick girl. The 28-year-old then went up to the second floor and opened his room. At once he saw the shadow of Kara smiling at him.

"Have you gone home yet?"

Adi felt a little deja vu but the feeling was denied. He walked towards the walk in closet to change clothes and saw that Kara's side had been reduced a lot. His ex-wife only brought the clothes he brought before marriage, while the clothes bought by both grandfather and his parents, none of them brought.

Adi opens a shoe storage cabinet and again Kara only carries the shoes she brought before marriage. His expensive shoes, he left. Adi smiles smirk because when Kara was away from home when the letter from the religious court came, Adi was not home and she did not care.

Adi then opens the drawer in Kara's wardrobe and again her jewelry is nothing she carries. Kara only asked for her dowry jewelry while giving her grandfather and mother, she left. The man closes the drawer after storing Kara's jewelry in a safe.

"Bik Ijah!" call Adi.

An art in his fifties came to his master.

"Yes, Mr Adi?"

"Please put all my ex-wife's clothes and shoes together, put them in a box and donate them to a nursing home or a women's orphanage."

Bik Ijah just nodded.

"Good sir."

After cleaning up, Kara saw the small house she used to live in before she was forced to wait for Adi. A year he left this house, a week ago he finally came back too. Luckily the contracted person also did not extend so he had a shelter even though he had been determined to find a boarding house.

This week Kara busied herself to clean her house because that way she could get her mind off the religious court verdict despite knowing the end result.

Kara only brought her clothes, shoes and belongings before marriage even the jewelry given by her grandfather and in-laws she did not bring. For Kara, she does not want to bring items outside hers that were brought before marriage so that there is no misunderstanding with Adi.

Enough I've been a year never considered a wife and I don't want to be considered a woman who takes a chance.

Kara wiped away her tears, remembering that she was a widow at the age of 25. Widow feels virgin because for a year Adi never touched her.

Kara started the day with morning worship and started cooking rice and side dishes for breakfast. His parents' second heritage house was only on 100 square meters of land with two bedrooms and one bathroom. While waiting for the rice to cook, Kara took a shower.

Kara is very grateful to still own this house even though her former in-laws asked to sell it and she insisted not to sell it but to contract it until she had her own savings.

After cleaning the kitchen and washing the cutlery she uses for breakfast, Kara starts looking for work. All the words of Dari, her friend in college, she really applied.

Yesterday I was really heartbroken to have to go through something like this but today I have to be able to put my heart in order.

Kara started looking for job vacancies in accordance with her education, economics degree.

Anything that is important is halal and can get money to live because the money from Adi mas will not touch if I do not have to.

Adi had breakfast alone and looked lonely in his large house. During this time Adi never breakfast alone, because there is always a grandfather and both parents and Kara. Kara. Grandpa's chosen hick girl who was betrothed to him.

In accordance with the will of the grandfather, all inheritance will fall into his hands after 100 days the grandfather died. One month before the 100-day event, Adi had sued Kara for divorce and the day after the event was knocked by the judge and they officially divorced. Adi's grandfather and parents both died together in a plane crash.

As a result, Adi has no burden to stay married to the hick girl and she can freely control the company owned by her family and marry the girl who has been her sleep partner, his girlfriend who was never approved by his grandfather and his parents.

Adi was preparing to leave the office when the sound of his phone rang. The name 'My dear Irene' appeared on the screen.

"Good morning, my dear" Adi said with a smile.
