28. New Leader

Bagas' leadership at the branch office where Alea worked ended today. Alea who was asked to replace Bagas had filed for a rejection one week ago, she also refused to be transferred to the headquarters. Alea preferred to remain an ordinary employee. Wh why?

"Welcome to work in a new place" Alea said.

"Quickly catch up." replied Bagas who brought a smile from both of them.

That was why Alea refused to replace Bagas and also refused to be moved to the headquarters. Alea was asked directly by Sundari oma to help Bagas in his company.

This morning Alea drove back in her car, an old car left by her father. Arriving at his room, he immediately asked Jaya to gather in the office hall.

"Alea, here." call Reina for Alea to sit nearby.

"You want to introduce a new leader, Ma'am?" alea asked after sitting next to Reina.

A man who was foreign to employees entered the hall accompanied by someone who had been Bagas' assistant. The handsome man immediately stood in front of all the employees and greeted those present.

"Good morning, Assalamualaikum. It's nice to meet you, mom, at this good opportunity" he said.

Busy with her phone, Alea did not notice the arrival of the new leader in her office. As soon as she heard a voice familiar to her, Alea noticed who the person speaking before the current employee was, she wanted to reassure him that the voice belonged to the person she longed for.

"Include me Riki will lead in this office replacing Mr. Bagas" said Riki introduced himself.

"Alea are you okay?" asked Reina who also did not believe seeing who would be their leader replacing Bagas.

"Lea's fine Madam Rei." Alea replied without turning to look at Riki. The man who had been present in his life then disappeared without news three years ago.

"Pak Bagas gave a lot of input to me about the employees in this office." continued Riki said. His eyes saw one by one the employees in front of him. The man smiled as his eyes found Alea who was also looking at him. Their eyes met, eyes that both radiated longing.

"According to him, the employees in this office are all very professional and reliable." continued Riki after breaking his view with Alea.

"Lea, the way she looks at you and smiles at you never changes." whispered Reina.

In Alea's heart agreeing with what Reina said, that smile Riki gave only to Alea. The man who had been present in his mind for several weeks was suddenly present before him. Alea was sure, Bagas arranged all of this. Bagas knew, as soon as Alea missed the presence of Riki beside her.

"So let's work together by continuing to improve the performance of all of us" Riki concluded his speech.

One by one the employees left the hall to return to their respective rooms. As well as Alea, he immediately walked out of the place.

"Where are you going Lea?" reina asked as she chased after the fast-paced Alea. Not going to his room, Alea headed towards the leadership room that Bagas used to occupy.

"Lea will be waiting for him inside" Alea replied.

No matter where Riki went after the meeting in the hall, it had been almost thirty minutes Alea waited, the man had yet to show himself. Alea stood up about to leave the room, but her steps came to a halt as someone greeted her.

"How are you doing, Lea?" greet Riki.

Not answering Riki's greeting, Alea ran into the arms of the person she missed. Riki welcomed Alea with pleasure, not just Alea, but also longed for the person who always made her happy and strong.

Unable to resist crying, Alea shed the longing she had felt for so many years. Alea's tears flowed profusely in Riki's embrace which could only retaliate by hugging her tightly.

"I'm sorry Brother, Lea." said Riki once Alea had calmed down enough.

"Dad asked you to leave, didn't he?"

"You mean well, Lea." replied Riki.

"Our father." said Alea.

"Lea."

"Lea knows everything."

"From dad?" ask Riki.

Alea shook her head, "Dad hasn't had time to explain anything to Lea" she replied.

"Then?"

Alea tells Riki where she found out about Riki who turns out to be her biological sister. All this time the truth was kept secret from his father, who said that Riki was his father's adopted son.

The box Alea found in, which was in her father's room, contained all the important documents of their family. From the documents that made Alea know many things, one of which was about Riki who was forced to leave by her father to stay away from Alea.

"Why aren't you there at the time of your father's blessing?" ask Alea.

"Sister is present, you are too sad that you did not notice the presence of big brother. Didn't Radit tell you?" answer and ask Riki.

"So where's my sister all this time? What's brother doing?" ask Alea streak.

"He needs someone who can take care of you. Who else could he trust other than brother." replied Riki confirming Alea's utterance which presupposed Bagas who arranged all this.

"Just because it's brother's back? Or is there something else?"

"Of course there's something else" Riki replied again.

"You need a sister to be your marriage guardian, don't you?"

Alea smiled, he immediately told Bagas once he knew he had an older brother. Alea wanted her brother to be her guardian, not the uncle who applied to Bagas to get them married.
