On this sunny morning. An eagle appears to be carrying a scroll on its feet. On a long way, the bird stopped at an oasis just to quench thirst.
The bird immediately flapped its wings when one of its manics found a human coming out from behind a bush.
"Fucking elang! Back!" the man shouted as if the bird could understand his language.
Perhaps if it understood, the eagle would scoff, "Geek! Unnecessary! Not gotta!" Don't imagine it! It would look terrible if birds could talk.
The man was apparently a young man with pretty good clothes, seen from his vest which is mostly made of animal skin. His trousers were made of sheep feathers embroidered into cloth. Not to forget with the bow of the arrow perched perfectly on his back.
At first the young man was filling a jug of drinking water in the lake which happened to be a place to drink the eagle.
The young man knew that the bird was no ordinary bird. Because at his feet there was a piece of paper. Plus, the bird continued its journey westward, which was the main destination of the group. The city of Reda.
After filling up his jug. The young man returned to the camp. There are a lot of people passing by. From the tent to the tent, it seemed busy preparing food.
The young man immediately entered the large-sized tent. Then kneel before a Prince of— who is sitting resting in the tent. He said, "My respect to Prince Harith."
The prince smiled as he nodded his head, he kindly replied, "Syamsi. You took so long when you only took water. Looks like something interesting happened there. Tell me that."
The young man called Syamsi smiled faintly. Although not given permission directly by the Prince to sit. Syamsi was very understanding, when the Prince asked like that, of course, the permission to sit had been obtained.
"Prince's right. Indeed there is a little interesting incident there," said Syamsi positioned himself sitting cross-legged to make it more comfortable. He continued, "So, while I was filling a pitcher of water. Suddenly an eagle came down. The eagle carried a paper roll at his feet. I intended to catch him and take the scroll he was carrying. But my efforts failed."
"That light just flew away?"
"That's how I wanted to catch him with my bare hands" Shamsi's countenance turned crumpled. Showing his disappointment clearly.
Syamsi's disappointed face looks funny to Prince Harith. He laughed lightly making Syamsi blush in shame.
"Well, it's your fault that you yourself wanted to catch an eagle with your bare hands. You have a bow behind your back, "the laughter is breaking.
The words of Prince Harith had made Shamsi realize that he was so stupid. Shamsi's face turned red, looking like a boiled crab that had just been lifted.
Before long, a woman in maid clothes rang the bell first then opened the curtain of the tent. He saluted Shamsi and Prince Harith.
"Syamsi Guard Master. There's a little problem outside. We need your help" the woman explained, bowing her gaze.
"Prince ...." Shamsi wanted to ask permission first to the prince. Before his sentence was finished, the Prince nodded his head in a sign that he had given his permission.
Shamsi immediately got up from his seat. Pay respect before getting out of the tent.
Shamsi, one of Prince Harith's bodyguards. With the title pinned to him is 'Right Sword Prince Harith'. He is not just an ordinary bodyguard. His talent in sword and archery cannot be underestimated by anyone including Yena, the owner of the legendary sword.
Shamsi grew up together with Prince Harith, it caused their relationship not like superiors and subordinates but like a pair of friends.
Actually Prince Harith still has one other personal bodyguard with the title 'Left Sword Prince Harith'. However, the bodyguard was on duty so his presence was not visible here.
After the departure of Syamsi with a female servant, the tent was open again. Seen a woman in a typical abaya dress of the former Royal Wife of Altair. The aging look on her face did not make her beauty fade away.
"Ah, Mrs Chayra." Harith rose from her seat as a sign of respect. He continued, "Please sit down."
A woman named Chayra approached Harith. He hugged the body tightly. "Hariths. Soon the kingdom will return to your hands. Please avenge His Majesty King Ghani and Her Majesty Queen Alea."
Harith gently stroked Chayra's weak body. The woman in the room she had considered as her own mother. "Calm down, madam. I promise to solve all the crimes committed by King Altair today."
To be honest Harith was not so sure of his status as a Prince. All he knew, from a small raised by Chayra in a castle that is quite remote from civilization. He learned to sword and hunt from the people who joined the Chayra.
Little story from Chayra, the late King Ghani was the father of Harith who had died in the war of rebellion. His late mother died shortly after giving birth to Harith before the rebellion. After considerable consideration then Mrs Alea who was appointed as Her Majesty the Queen replaced the position of the late Queen earlier—abunda Harith. Chayra said Queen Alea had a son named Hazard before she was made Queen.
But unfortunately, they are separated while on the run due to the defeat of the King from the rebel group. To date, no one knows if Queen Alea and her son survived?
Suddenly Syamsi revealed the curtain of the tent. His breathing was irregular as if he had just been chased by an evil spirit. In his right hand was a scroll that had not been opened.
"Prince .. here .. su-letter from the desert killer!" pekik Syamsi stretched his arm towards Harith.
Harith removed her arms from Chayra. He immediately grabbed the letter. Then read it in your heart.
How are you doing? It's been a really bright night, isn't it? As bright as I feel. Haha.
I write this, at night because there is no time to write during the day. So, if the letter is only until the morning just understand because I just finished duty.
Oh yes, all the tasks you give, why is there nothing stressful? Honestly, something like this is boring.
Come on Prince, give me a more interesting task. So that I can bring home more human heads.
Marked,
The Head Hunter
Harith shook his head, not expecting to be able to get an interesting letter from an assassin who had recently been greatly feared by the Royal Court. He remembered the day he met the Head Hunter.
In the woods near the castle. At that time the Head Hunter was injured because it was trapped in a trap set by his bodyguard.
Strange, after being treated, the wound of the hunter immediately healed the day after. There was no scar on his skin.
After that, the hunter offers Harith help as a form of revenge. That was when Madam Chayra said out loud. He asked the hunters for help to finish off one by one the Altair Kingdom's higher ups. And the Head Hunters also responded.
From then on, murder after murder happened to the Altair Kingdom's Highness. Even the rumors spread so quickly. To cause a considerable upheaval threatening the position of King Altair now.
With this unstable condition, Harith wanted to take advantage of the situation. He planned a rebellion and beheaded the King. If his plan succeeds it is not impossible that power will fall easily into his hands. Of course this sort of thing should be discussed first with the Head Hunter.
"Annu ... Pa-prince. The killer is still outside".." said Syamsi stammered.
Harith frowned. Somewhat do not believe in the words of Shamsi. But it's impossible for Syamsi to lie, right?
Prince Harith immediately checked the conditions outside. And sure enough, on top of the coconut tree. There's a man crouching down there. The man waved his hand cheerfully without any burden.
Just blinked once, the man was already in front of Harith. Makes him surprised not dumbass. Hugging a female servant beside him.
"I'm sorry to suddenly meet you, Prince, " said the Chief Hunter, kneeling before Harith.
The servants and bodyguards clashed to see Harith still hugging a female servant. Until finally Harith realized and re-positioned himself as before.
"Ekhm! lt's okay. Stand up," Harith cleared her throat hard enough to restore her authority.
Even so, the sound of laughter still sounded faint from some people even Madam Chayra and Syamsi also laughed.
The hunter with a sinless face, stood so relaxed. He looked at the astonishment of those who were laughing. Just wanting to open his mouth and ask why they were laughing, Harith had already embraced him. "Come here, I want to discuss the next plan."
In the end Harith and the hunter entered together into the tent followed by the Shamsi Guards and Lady Chayra.
The maid who had just been hugged. Looks glued in place. Her cheeks were completely red blushing as the prince's accident made her feel lucky.
"Kaila, will you stay there? Help us prepare the food!" shouted out a Servant Chief.
"L-yes Auntie, wait a minute!" Kaila finally ran so consciously. He soon joined the other servants.
