ADURAS
Part 24: Alchemist

Drops of water from the ceiling of the cave create repeated echoes in them. There are droplets that fall on the floor of the cave in the form of rock protrusions, there are also droplets that fall right on the lake with a bluish green luster. The lighting is quite good due to the cave mouth that is widened and towering.

Inside, there was Hazard sitting cross-legged and bare-chested. The two neutrals were closed with their backs and palms intertwined. Drops of water fell on Hazard's shoulder, his eyes opened slowly with a bright purple color that was very blinding. Hazard immediately spewed out a pitch-black liquid on the rock he was sitting on to the side. The meditation activity was successful, the black energy came out by itself in Hazard's body.

After spewing out quite a lot of concentrated liquid, his body was extremely tired. However, the whole body feels lighter. Hazard rubbed his lips with the back of his hand, his head slightly dizzy as he forced himself to get up.

"Shhh .. shouldn't stand up first." Hazard grimaced while massaging the temple. He immediately took the clothes stored on flat-toed stalagmite stones. Wear it as before. A red scarf and turban cloth were immediately wrapped around Hazard's neck and forehead. Except for the mask, Hazard does not wear it if he is in Middle Earth.

"How's the meditation, Prince? Made it, did it?"

The voice of the elves girl could be heard echoing, she walked barefoot inside, passing through the cave floor that was fed by the lake water. The elves had a small waist circumference with clothing from animal skin. His long navy blue hair was tied up like a ponytail. His physical features were not much different from other elves, the difference only existed in the spots around the eyes. The spots are black unlike the Queen or Prince Vrede.

"As you can see, I managed to spit out something black," Hazard replied, his line of eyes finding the girl walking over, looking curious about the pitch-black vomit stuck to the stone.

"I have to take a closer look" said the girl. He stepped wide, nudging Hazard towards the black vomit. He took the spittle with cotton brought from home then put it into an old-fashioned glass bottle—contains a clear liquid— bound to the waist. The girl immediately closed the bottle with a wooden lid so that the foul aroma did not spread everywhere.

"You're weird" Hazard said.

A sharp look was immediately dropped, the girl got up, directly kicked Hazard's shin making him complain of pain and fall to his knees.

"Aww ... pain .. You have the heart to treat a Prince like this" he lapsed.

"Oh, I think you deserve to be treated so," he said, the girl breezed away after committing violence against Prince Ukheil.

"Wait, Arum! You're being disrespectful to me!" shouted Hazard, limping along thanks to the kick of the girl named Arum, quite strong and painful.

Arum ignored Hazard's call, he continued to walk through the forest, following the path made by the working fairies.

"What do you want, don't you want that liquid?" ask Hazard. His feet are no longer limping.

"What do you think I want, right?"

"Ah, Uncle Agail told you to?"

"So, my Master wants to research this black energy. He doesn't believe a dwaft is capable of making antidotes like the liquid you brought yesterday."

"You mean Ametis' boiled water?"

"Uh'um."

After that conversation no one started. Until they arrived at the tree house of an Alchemist named Quassir'agail. There are several parts of the tree house that stick apart, joined by wooden stairs that are installed around the tree. The goal is to be easier to move space.

Suddenly Quassir'agail, the teacher of Quassir'arum, opened the wooden door. He immediately approached them.

"How, Prince? Already better?" ask Agail, smiling kindly. However, on every detail of his face did not appear to be aging at all. Agail too, including Alchemists who have experienced and outlived Hazard. He was wearing a brown robe with a wooden fence, coiled around his arms.

"I've done meditation, according to what Uncle said. The seal is in Arum."

"Here, Teacher." Arum gives a spit with both hands. A little slouching to make it look more polite.

Agail happily accepted, her untied white hair dangling as she slightly bowed. "All right, thank you Arum. You can go, I have business with Prince Hazard."

Arum looked at Hazard, his brows furrowed somewhat irritatedly. He wanted to protest to his teacher. "Teacher, let me help."

"You want to help? Helped what?"

"About that research, I want—"

"Arum .. You're a girl while Prince Hazard is a boy. Have you forgotten the Boundaries of the Elves Nation?"

"That's ...."

"The Boundaries of the Elves for Youth and Girls. Article 2 paragraph 1 reads—"

"Sorry!" Arum squealing. The sound of his voice almost broke Hazard's eardrum. Just then Hazard moved a step further, his ears ringing almost deaf. Similarly, Agail, smiled forcefully to hide his anger.

"I'm sorry!" Arum shot up, instantly disappearing like the wind. He just ran.

Agail smiled pleading with Hazard, saying, "I'm sorry for my protege, Prince. She is still a girl and very innocent. Never once had friends with a man except his father and me, his teacher."

"No problem, Uncle. I see," Hazard replied, his eye line forming a crescent moon.

"Thank God. Then, Let's Prince. This research won't work if the Prince doesn't come to my aid." Agail immediately opened the door of his house that was right above the ground—unlike most tree houses that are on the tree.

"Alright, I'm impatient" he replied. Hazard immediately entered Uncle Agail's house upon request.

Inside the house, a lot of furniture that Hazard doesn't know at all. Though only the first floor, but already presented unique objects. As in dark brown wooden shelves, many glass bottles of various shapes neatly lined up. Some are filled with colored liquids, some are not. In addition, in the middle of the room, there is a wood carcass of combustion forming a circle. On it was a convex-bottomed pot hanging just below the carcass.

Agail himself walked towards the circular table in the corner of the room. On the table were glass bottles of various sizes and piles of books that Hazard had no idea about.

"Prince, please sit down for a moment. I'll move the splinter first," pinta Agail politely. He stared at a wooden bench without a backrest beside him.

On request, Hazard sat quietly beside the high tables. He did not understand what Agail was doing, which was clearly moved into the convex pot and Agail lit a fire with a stone thrown into the burn.

The blazing flames warmed Hazard's body, which was cold after meditating in the cave. Hazard rubbed his own body so that the warmth from the fire was evenly distributed. What Agail does is like magic and can be learned. If Hazard wasn't a Prince, he might want to be an Alchemist too.

"Excuse me, Prince."

Suddenly Agail grabbed Hazard's right wrist, he carried a knife as small as the index finger and then sat him on the arm in Hazard. Instantly fresh blood flowed out slowly—Hazard expressionless because he was used to the blood, only a little grimacing due to his incision. Agail walked back on the table while carrying a soft white cloth— stored on the sleeve, cotton, and a bottle filled with clear liquid. He absorbed fresh blood from Hazard's arm with a cotton swab and put it in a bottle.

"Take this, Prince, to cover the wound," asked Agail as he thrust a soft cloth at Hazard.

Soon, the cloth was taken. Hazard wrapped it directly on the arm and tied it. He smiled and looked at Agail. "Thank you."

Agail walked over after replying to Hazard with a faint smile. He went back to the table and started to mix.

For about 30 minutes they were silent. Hazard hesitated a bit to speak. He stared blankly at the burning coals.

"If there's anything the Prince wants to ask, just say it. I'll answer your question as accurately as possible" Agail opened the conversation.

Hazard glanced towards Agail who was concocting. "How long is the research? It's boring to have to wait so long."

Agail smiled as he rubbed his hands with the cloth that was already available beside the table. "Actually, the Prince won't have to wait anymore, because the research I'm doing will take quite a bit of time. I'm just waiting for the Prince to ask."

Hearing this Hazard immediately got up, staring at Agail. "On that matter, I'm out of green pills, Uncle. Does Uncle still make it?"

"Of course, still. Just a minute." Agail walked towards the brown shelf. He picked up a small basket on the shelf, then walked up to Hazard and opened the lid. "Take as many as the Prince wants, I can make it back if the Prince needs it. But, I hope the Prince can use it wisely. Because these pills are quite dangerous if consumed too much."

"Of course, Uncle doesn't have to worry," Hazard replied, immediately taking a few and sliding the pouch from behind his body to the side, then putting the pill in and sliding it back in its original position.

"Thank you, Uncle. I have to go now. Queen Tel'onera must be waiting for me" Hazard said as he walked back and opened the door and waved.

Agail simply smiled and waved softly. He said, "Yes, be careful, Prince."

Hazard ran after coming out of the Agail house, almost stepping on the black snake that was crawling underground.

"Oh, my goodness ..," murmured Hazard. He stepped wide and ran after passing the snake.

On the way, Hazard sees Furo as a coaching teacher for the other Animal Elves. They were seen sitting on a large rock near a waterfall and meditating there. Seeing that, Hazard had no power to not smile. A sense of happiness and pride enveloped his heart. Slowly but surely, his people began to realize that guarding Ukheil is not just the task of fighter elves, but his people also need to participate in maintaining his residence. Of course, for the sake of peace and comfort together.
