ADURAS
Part 26: Back

Right in the month of the season. Hazard suddenly reappeared. The humans who saw its appearance could sense that the present desert killer was different from the one that used to be. Their premonition said so, especially after seeing his arrival accompanied by lightning striking, a natural occurrence that was quite rare occurred in the desert.

Mrs Chayra looked surprised, she chose not to discuss with Hazard. That's why now there are only two bodyguards on the left and right side of Harith, in front there is Hazard who is cross-legged on the tent pedestal.

"I'm sorry, it looks like my arrival caused a new problem. I should have shown up earlier" Hazard explained with a closed net signifying regret.

"There is no need to apologize, Mr. Hazard," he then whispered something to Shamsi on the left, "call Mrs Chayra, she must attend and hear the plan this time, he said, there will be a little change."

"Oh? Alright. Excuse me, Prince." Shamsi's gaze turned on Hazard for a moment, while Harith stared at Syamsi until his back disappeared behind the tent.

"Sorry, there's a little business. Where did it get to?" Furthermore, Harith looked at Hazard with a serious look.

"Until you say, there's no need to apologize."

"Owh, yeah. Sure do. I don't have a problem with that. You didn't disappear on purpose anyway, did you?"

Hazard smiled very thinly. "so. And I think the initial plan will change a little bit because King Altair already knows where I am, there is a possibility that he will sacrifice a lot of people to kill me" he said.

Harith seemed to be propping up his chin with his index finger covering his lips, thinking of Hazard's words. The ringing of the bells suddenly shifted their focus.

"Come in" cried Harith. Madam Chayra appeared from behind the tent and immediately sat down beside Harith, while Syamsi sat behind her.

"It looks like it's complete. Can we start with the problem?" harith asked everyone in the tent. They all agreed with a nod of their heads.

"First, I want to tell you from Shamsir that your whereabouts and those around you are already known by the King. Does Mr Hazard have a family?" tanya Harith started the discussion by asking Hazard before disappearing.

Silent for a moment, Hazard felt that no one was special enough in the 'this' world for him, except for a woman named Yena.

"About that, there was a bit of a problem" he glanced at Syamsir, "Your bodyguards know better what happened back then." Continue Hazard.

All eyes were on Shamsir. An awkward feeling filled his chest cavity. "Sa-I was just watching," he explained, "At that time, I understood why King Altair had summoned a black mage."

"Black witch? King Altair conspiring with a black witch? Why didn't you say it from the beginning, Sham?" tanya Chayra interrupted.

"Th-that ...."

"Continue your story, Shamsir. About why you're just telling him now, you can explain after the discussion is over" Harith said so authoritatively. Madam Chayra immediately realized her mistake, she immediately lowered her head in silence.

"I go on" said Shamsir, "so I know all this news thanks to an important person who was willing to help me there. The master who did not want to be named said ...."

Shamsir explained everything he knew from the nameless master. After the explanation was completed, an arch from the tip of Hazard's lip was pulled upwards.

"During the discussion Mr. Hazard did not say much, yes. He listened more" Syamsi told his brother Shamsir. They walked to the buffet tent.

"Hm, I expected it," Shamsir replied lazily because of a rumbling stomach. One hand held the stomach.

"Hoo, seriously? Cool."

"Then you don't know?" Shamsir refused the waist with his bearded eyebrows.

"I thought Mr. Hazard would be more active. Because I've heard from the maids that Mr. Hazard loves to play women."

"Ha ha ha, what kind of shit is that?"

"I'm telling you, don't like to listen to girls gossip. They like to exaggerate."

Shamsir walked first—ingin immediately took a portion of food, while Syamsi followed from behind. "Hn, all right," said Syamsi.

While in the tent, Harith was writing on paper rolls with a quill pen. The scroll will be sent to the place of growth when he was a child. The sound of dry grass being stepped on sounded loud. His net glanced towards the shadow outside the tent. When he got up and looked out to check, there was no one.

"Maybe it's just my feeling" Harith said, affirming one word in his sentence. The golden yellow bead glanced back and forth as its hearing was sharpened.

There were footsteps coming from behind the tent. Close enough, but getting away. Harith tried to make sure, walking behind the tent. His eyes narrowed when he saw a woman's back away from the tent. His smile was held back with his feet kneeling on the sand.

"Until when do you want to play games with me, Kaila?" ask Harith who she knows. He immediately got up and patted the saliva and hands to be clean. Her lips are up.

🍂🍂🍂

Mitri town, afternoon.

Hazard walked leisurely in the middle of the city. Very quiet it looks. No one looked and greeted Hazard. This city looks like a dead city, because here and there a lot of forehead grass is blown by the wind to the wooden floor of the residents. Hazard wanted to ensure the state of the city, he politely knocked on one of the houses in the middle of the city. But there is no answer.

His brows furrowed into one, Hazard stared at the palm of the hand full of used dust touching the pillar of the house. The sand dust thickens on the curtains, looking very seedy worse than the previous condition. Very unnatural for a city that still has residents. Except ...

Hazard broke the door with a single try. He was immediately faced with an adult human carcass that had become bones with white hair around the carcass and had fallen out.

His eyebrows furrowed, the veins on the bearded temple, Hazard kneeled to the side and touched the corpse's palm which had turned into a finger bone. Then close your eyes.

"It's too late, I can't see his last memory," Hazard said, opening his eyes, his black bead following the dead body's eyes.

He got up and walked into the kitchen. As expected, near the dining table was a skeleton of an adult lying on the floor against the open kitchen door. He walked towards the back door, immediately inspecting all the locked houses from the front.

Not much different from the first house, other houses in the same condition. All the homeowners had already died about 5 months ago, a few days after his departure. The killer took action at night when everyone was asleep.

Hazard sits on the terrace of a heavy house. His eyes were blank looking ahead. He wanted to see the condition of the Lord Mayor and his two daughters. However, something inside of him felt that it would be very sad if he knew the truth.

Hazard shook his head then immediately got up. He jumped on the roof of the house, and ran over it. Until he reached the mayor's house that was no longer taken care of.

Many plants in pots dry out and die. Thick dirt adorned his windows, floors, doors and walls, as well as spider webs in every corner of his house.

Hazard went inside through the window of the mayor's room which was covered in curtains. It is directly fed by the skeleton of an adult. Yes, that's Mr. Mayor. He sits beside the skeleton. The mayor was killed while he was asleep. Rough breathing sounded long, staring at the skeleton for quite a while.

Suddenly a black snake snatched from the right eyeball container, biting Hazard's neck wrapped around a brown scarf. "Akhs! Shit!" the ranca directly slammed the black snake from the neck onto the wooden floor. Instantly the snake disappeared, leaving behind black smoke.

The scarf is directly thrown away, even its thickness is not able to dispel the fangs of black snake—aneh. The bite marks caused a burning sensation, making Hazard automatically hold his nape.

From below, there was the noise of people chatting and the sound of horseshoes pounding the path. Hazard immediately hid behind the window of the room. Peering at those people from the corner of the window.

"It's been 5 months, Your Majesty why not just give up, anyway? After all, the killer is no longer visible" said an ideal bodyguard with a sideburn around his face.

"There's no harm in us standing guard here. Who knew the killer had stopped by," replied a bodyguard with a slightly fat body and curly hair.

They were both on patrol wearing dark brown horses. His entire body was filled with iron shields.

"I'd better wait for them to leave. After that—"

"You're going to die because of the snake that keeps spreading," cut someone into the room, "want me to help you?" she is a woman with a black mask and hair strung like a chain.
