Rania could not take her eyes off the young woman holding the baby.
"Ran .. don't look at the woman!" This is the third time Barra has reminded me. But Rania still could not take her eyes off the young woman and the baby.
The woman hesitated to enter. He just stood up while continuing to spread his gaze around, either looking for an empty seat or looking for someone, because this restaurant was very crowded.
For the umpteenth time he saw the woman again from top to bottom. Simple clothes are far from the word luxury and flip flops whose color has begun to fade. Not to mention the shabby baby sling she uses to hold her child. What a sight that makes Rania's heart shake.
Rania seemed to see herself in the future when she was divorced from Barra. Maybe her fate will be exactly like that of the woman. Carrying a baby and having no purpose to go anywhere also has no money.
Finally the woman stepped in. With difficulty he took the plates and food. Then walk towards the corner of the room that looks like there is an empty place. Rania's eyes still could not be separated from the woman.
The woman sat while holding her baby. It seemed like she was really hungry to the point of not caring for her baby who was starting to cry. After her stomach filled up a few mouthfuls then she stood up to calm her baby down. As she sat back down and was about to continue eating, the baby cried again. So it continued until finally the woman did not eat.
"Am I going to be like that later?"
Rania was so sorry to see it. He stood up and approached the woman. Barra couldn't prevent it.
"Mhrs ... May I help her carry the baby? Let her eat." Rania offered her help.
"Thank you Ma'am. Doesn't it bother you?"
"Ngga anything. I'm pregnant so all the baby carrier exercises."
The woman slowly released her baby sling without the slightest suspicion. He looked very tired and hungry from the way he ate. Carefully Rania received the tiny baby in her cradle.
"Bak just eat quietly, I will hold the baby mbak here," Rania told the woman. Then she started to hold the baby while looking at him.
"Oh ... Love ... Don't cry, let your mother eat first" Rania told the baby.
Barra who looked at Rania from where she was sitting smiled looking at her.
For a moment the baby was calm, but just a second mouthful went into the woman's mouth, the baby came back crying.
"Does he want ASI?" ask Rania.
The woman stopped eating and went back to her baby.
"I didn't come out, ma'am, probably because of the exhaustion and I haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon."
Wha what?? Haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon??
"Then don't bring a bottle of milk?"
"There was, but my husband took me," she said, standing and holding her baby.
Oh ... So she has a husband. I don't know why Rania was relieved to hear that.
"Where is your husband going to be?"
"Our bike is stuck. My husband is still in the workshop. I walked up to this one" the woman said, standing up and holding her baby.
At the same time a man appeared among them.
"I'm sorry, have you eaten?" ask the man in a hurry. He even ignored Rania who was also standing amongst them.
"Thank you, ma'am, for helping my wife. Sorry to bother you," he said politely.
"It's okay. I'm glad I could hold your little baby. Well, now that there's her husband, I'm sorry to go back to my table" Rania replied then she walked back to her desk.
"Thank you again, ma'am" said the husband.
"You're smart to carry a baby. No clumsiness at all" greeted Barra as Rania returned to her desk.
Rania sat back in her chair.
"I felt sorry to see it. Alone holding a baby when he looks very hungry." Rania turned back to where the woman was sitting.
No more crying sounds for the baby. But another scene again stole Rania's attention. The couple stood face to face. The wife stood up as she continued to swing her baby slowly, while the husband painstakingly fed her.
It really touched Rania. The image of his future reappeared in his mind. He'll never feel that. There will be no sweet treatment from the husband to him later. No one will bribe him if later his son is fussy so he does not have time to eat. He will feel and face everything alone.
Ranai's heart became worried. His future and that of his son depend on the decisions he makes now. Will she be like the woman she first saw, alone with her baby and confused. Or like the woman after her husband comes, get the attention and calmness because there are those who take care of her.
Without feeling the tears Rania dripped.
Oh ... I hate these hormonal changes! My mood can flip over intermittently so it's not clear like this, Her heart's voice again blames the hormonal changes for her tears.
"Rone ... You why?" ask Barra.
"We go home now" Rania replied as she wiped her tears.
"Use your food first, and then we go home."
"I'm not feeling any more."
"All right, we're going home now." Barra did not ask further why she was crying.
During the trip home Rania just daydreamed. Barra really misses the old Rania. Although she is not the type of woman who is chatty if it has begun to talk then there will be no end, but she is also not a quiet woman like now.
Rania's view glanced far past the glass of the car she was riding.
Was my decision to divorce Barra the right thing? Or should I give him a chance to improve? Everyone makes mistakes, right? I could get pregnant because of a mistake.
"Barra ... stop for a minute!" Suddenly Rania asked to stop.
Barra immediately pulled over her car and stopped.
"What's wrong? You dizzy? Wanna puke?" tanyanya panic.
"I want to buy that ice cream cone." Rania pointed to the ice cream parlor vendor who had already passed quite far behind. He quickly opened his seat belt and got out of the car. With a face of sumringah he ran towards the ice cream cone seller.
Barra who was panicking because she saw Rania running followed her as well while running. He was bored to the seller's place while Rania looks ordinary. Still with breath and face stupefied he looked at Rania who was cool eating ice cream on the side of the road.
The mood changes of this pregnant woman are indeed extraordinary, inner Barra while regulating her breath.
"Next time don't run like that. Poor your baby!" nagel Barra's. Rania just heard it.
