A Reply to My Husband

Speechless

After almost afternoon in-law Rania came home from Arisan. He went straight to the kitchen to store the food he brought from the restaurant where he was doing the arisan. Rania who was cooking in the kitchen only noticed what her in-laws were doing without commenting.

"Don't eat this! I bought it specifically for Barra!" tell the in-laws to leave the kitchen.

Rania did not care about her in-laws. He also did not intend to touch the food at all. Barra told him he was late so he'd be home late. Rania continues her cooking activities either later someone eats it or not which is important she has prepared it.

Finished cooking Rania towards her room to clean herself up. After that she did not go out and so did her in-laws until it was almost time for dinner and the sound of a car entering the yard of the house. Her mother-in-law moved quickly by running to greet her son who had just returned from work.

"Where is Rania Ma'am?"

"In his room. Maybe you're sleeping, you slacker wife!"

Barra paid no heed to her mother's words and immediately walked towards her room. He found Rania sleeping. Barra approached his wife and kissed her forehead. Feeling a warm touch on her forehead, Rania opened her eyes.

"Have you come home?" rania said in a hoarse voice. "I'm sorry I didn't welcome you."

Rania immediately woke up and confirmed her position. He accidentally fell asleep because he was too tired after a day of taking care of the house. Actually doing homework is not so heavy for him. Rania is young, she has an excess of energy to do all that work. But it was the insults and nagging of her in-laws that drained her energy more, tired inner of course.

"Have you eaten? I'll prepare dinner. You clean your body first." Rania stands up, but Barra pulls Rania's hand back to the bed.

"What did you do all day? Why do you look so tired?" Barra wrapped her hands around Rania's body. He still wants to let go of his miss after a day of not meeting.

"As usual, I clean the house, wash, cook and all that stuff, you know."

"You don't have to do it if you're tired" Barra replied as she buried her nose in Rania's neck.

Rania smiled. "It's okay, besides I don't have any other activities." Rania hand stroked softly Barra's hair.

Rania enjoys this togetherness. Barra loved her very much and treated her gently, but this won't take long. She would turn cold after hearing her mother say something bad about Rania. He was easily influenced by his mother's words.

It has been repeatedly Rania asks Barra to live apart from her mother but the coals do not grant her request. Barra couldn't bear to let her mother stay alone. Rania had thought, the reason maybe until now she had not been pregnant was because she was depressed by the existence of her in-laws who had never been kind to her. But she did not dare to tell Barra about this, she was afraid to offend him, considering that her husband loved her mother very much.

"Marra ... Mom kept saying I was a barren woman. Whether you can give me understanding is not my fault if we don't have children yet. I'm healthy and you're healthy, so maybe God hasn't given us a chance to have children."

"Don't think about Mom's words. I'll talk to him later."

"Thank you." Rania turned around and changed her husband's forehead. "Now take a shower, I'll come down to prepare dinner" continued Rania.

"no need. You accompany me to take a shower. I must have prepared everything."

"But I've taken a shower."

"Just accompany me in the bathroom, don't take a shower."

"Well my dear husband .." replied Rania as she pinched Barra's nose.

"Barra ... Why did you come down so long? I've cooked your favorite meal" the mother greeted Barra as she walked towards him.

Rania just frowned at her in-laws words. He knew the food he meant Barra's favorite was the food he bought during the afternoon's march which he then warmed up again. In addition, all the food on the dining table is Rania cuisine but Rania does not mind it.

Barra smile. "Thank you, ma'am" he said. Then they eat quietly. Rania did not discuss the slightest thing about her in-laws who had asked her for money.

"Mom met Ms. Sandy, she said her daughter-in-law gave birth. Now that Ms. Sandy has two grandchildren, one male and one female, her happiness is complete."

Rania's in-laws started the conversation. Rania's feelings are not good if her in-laws start talking about children or grandchildren. He will be the one who will be scapegoated.

"It's so nice to be Miss Sandy, I want to be like her. Isn't Miss Sandi's son your schoolmate?"

Barra silently did not respond to her mother's words. "Your friend has two children. You are not yet. It's been over five years."

"Mother .. Come on, maybe it's not time we had a child yet."

"Just try to marry someone else. If you were you, you'd be looking for another woman who's young and can get pregnant." The words of the in-laws really hurt Rania's feelings.

"Barra .. how about we see a doctor. I checked a few times and the result is fine. There's nothing wrong with my body. Maybe you should check it out, too."

"Look, your wife dares to talk like that. Doesn't that seem to think you're the problem?" Barra glanced towards Rania.

"Don't misinterpret my words. I didn't mean it that way." Rania tried to explain.

"Of course he meant it. He deliberately wants to blame you for his barrenness." Her in-laws kept trying to corner Rania.

"Not so Ma'am, Barra has a habit of smoking and also drinking alcohol, maybe it has an effect on the quality of sp***nya." This time Rania wanted to defend herself.

"Oh .. Has he dared to humiliate you in front of your own mother? Even dare to say such a thing in front of Mother. Besides being barren it turns out that he is also shameless!"

Barra was silent, but her eyes continued to look at Rania with anger.

"Don't keep blaming me ma'am ... "

"Enough Rania!!!"

"I'm healthy, there's nothing wrong with me! So don't talk anymore!" Barra stood up and left the dining table filled with anger. He had eaten his mother's words.

The in-law glanced at Rania with a triumphant smiling face. Rania ran after Barra who first entered the room. Rania thought maybe her words offended Barra's pride as a man. But he also gets bored if constantly blamed by his in-laws.

Rania approached Barra who was sitting on the balcony of her room. He looks moody.

"I'm sorry for my words." Barra did not reply.He continued to look forward without caring for Rania beside him.
