A Reply to My Husband
Goat Satay

"You likey?" Rania nodded.

He was enjoying his ordered goat satay while Barra sat in front of him while looking at Rania who was eating. Still wearing a shirt with slightly rolled up sleeves and two buttons over it open, Rania so remembered back when she was still working one office with Barra. When they overtime until late and the night Barra's appearance gets messy but that's what attracts Rania. He thinks Barra looks sexy with that look.

During his time as his wife, Rania hardly ever noticed Barra's appearance after work. She just made sure her husband left for the office in neat clothes and looked handsome. Every time she came home from work, Rania welcomed Barra, but then she was busy serving him so that she did not have time to pay attention to the messy appearance of her husband. She prepared warm water for the bath, warmed up the dinner, not to mention after dinner she had to go back to cleaning the kitchen.

There was no time for her to look at her husband, or vice versa. There are no moments of looking at each other and admiring each other that can remind how they used to fall in love.

But now, they were sitting alone with Barra who was watching him eat, making sure there was no less than one. Of course it makes Rania again beat. Although his heart harbored a deep sense of disappointment, Barra's excessive attention had swayed his decision a little.

"My son isn't fussy today?" A question that is asked almost every day by Barra.

"No."

Barra smile. "Smart kid." Surely at this time Barra would love to caress Rania's stomach. "Where do you want to go tomorrow?"

"As far as you are concerned, it's important that I get out of the house."

"Ready ... " After that, Barra looked to the left. "Have you not come home yet?"

"Yet. Lately mom's rarely home."

"I want to talk to him about the debt you said earlier. But wait for him to come home."

"Where is mom's car? Why did he borrow my car?"

"Some time ago mom said her car was borrowed by her friend from out of town. But the time has not been returned yet? Ah ... I'll ask you later." Barra was talking to herself.

* * *

"Are you ready?"

"Yes ..." Rania looks enthusiastic. Today Barra will take her out for a breath of fresh air.

"Where are we going?"

"Later you know for yourself."

"Accept ...."

They took a long journey. Rania was sleeping in the car. Rania woke up when the car stopped.

"We've arrived?" ask Rania. He rubbed his eyes then looked out of the car window "I must have been asleep a long time ago" he murmured. He looked around and smiled.

"I know this place" he said, looking at Barra.

"Where is this?"

"This is the mountain where we used to do outbound with office friends. I'm right, aren't I?" Rania asked with a radiant face.

"Do you remember?"

Rania immediately got out of the car and ran down the hill.

"Ran .. be careful not to run like that. Watch your content!" Barra looks panicked to see Rania running until she chases after him like chasing a child who has just learned to walk.

Rania stopped as soon as she reached the edge of the pond then spread her hands and spun around while closing her eyes. He inhaled the air of these mountains deeply and enjoyed it. Not to mention the morning sunlight that pierced his skin made him feel warm in the cool mountain air.

Barra smiled at Rania's behavior. It had been a long time since he had seen his wife like this, without burden.

"Where did you get the idea of bringing me here?"

"Hmmm ... Actually I don't have any idea where to take you and this place just crossed my mind."

"I almost forgot we've been to a place like this." Rania walked around the pond while looking at the countless koi fish.

"Do you remember that river?" Rania pointed to the river not far from the fish pond. There is a small river that is not so fast. The inside may be just the knees of an adult and the water is very clear.

"We've had a tug-of-war race on this river. Me and my team are on this side, and you and your team are over there." Rania pointed to the other side of the river.

"Team you lost. And you alone are not thrown into the river. You cheat, because once your team leader splashed the river, you who are in the rear position immediately release the mine," Barra continued with a laugh.

Rania laughed at Barra's story. "But then you guys pushed me together until I finally fell into the river." Rania was back.

"And you remember? The fish-catching race? You get angry because you can't catch any fish. Even to get carried away to the office, a week you mess around because of it."

Barra was wrong. And Rania was back. He laughed until his face turned red.

"I'm not joking around because of that!"

"Come .. don't have to deny it. You must be ashamed right because everyone from your division can catch fish? You are not one."

Barra scratched his head that was not itchy. Actually she was happy to see Rania like this, but she was also misbehaving because Rania kept mocking her.

"Let's sit there."

Rania followed behind him with a face that was still red as it held back laughter. Then the two of them sat under a large tree near the pond and were only covered in green grass.

"Actually I'm not joking around because I can't catch a fish."

"alright. Then why?" Rania again held back a laugh. He was sure Barra was only defending himself.

"The night before I saw you eating alone with the marketing division manager. So I didn't concentrate on catching that fish."

"You mean Mr Fahri?" Rania laughed again, even louder than before. "It's not your excuse to defend yourself, is it?" Rania is still laughing. He seems to enjoy it a lot.

"He's my boss and we're a team, of course I had dinner with him. We had dinner with a team at the time. It's just that I came too soon, then Mr. Fahri. Only then did the others come. Maybe what you saw when the other kids didn't come."

"Then did you vent his anger on your subordinates?"

Barra scratched her head again.

"Are they talking about me?"

"Not only them, but the whole office. It's just that as far as they know you're frenzied for not getting the fish."

"So you're jealous of Mr Fahri?" Rania again laughed in laughter. For a moment he forgot all his problems, he also forgot his relationship with Barra who was not doing well.

"I was approaching you at the time, and you seemed to be close to another man whose position was higher and also much more established than mine. Obviously my chances are very small" replied Barra grumbling.

"But I finally chose you," said Rania who then made her face turn sad in an instant. Barra realized that.

"You regretted it?"

Rania did not answer.
