A Handful of Homes for Mikayla

A Handful of Homes for Mikayla
IT'S NOT MIKAYLAKU

Happy Reading

The sound of water rustling was heard from a room that was quite spacious, until the sound of water stopped. Not long after the open bathroom door revealed a scene that made the women scream hysterically. How not, Nathan came out just wearing a towel to cover the bottom while the top was left exposed to reveal his six pack abdominal muscles.

With his broad strides, Nathan walked towards the wardrobe he had been wearing for a long time. Yes, after Mikayla's departure. Nathan doesn't change anything in this whole apartment, Nathan plans to make a walk in closed but he breaks it down because it's useless if it only contains his clothes.

Nathan picks up the house shirt with shorts, as each comes home from the wife's grave. He had never gone anywhere, even in the main mansion could be counted with a finger.

Since Mikayla's death, her family has been cold and indifferent to Nathan. Even the family of his late wife never allowed Nathan to keep Mikayla's personal belongings. All goods have been transported except the bottles of medicine that are punctured and stored tightly in the bedside nightstand drawer.

After he was done changing clothes, Nathan immediately came out of the room to prepare dinner. The kitchen looked very clean, after Mikayla's departure Nathan's life changed completely. Who initially could not cook now he was able to cook especially the eggs of beef eyes, he remembers the moment when trying to cook Mikayla but failed but the wife still ate the food.

Nathan immediately put on a gray-colored apron, he took two eggs from inside the refrigerator. Looks a lot of eggs and water alone that fill the contents of the refrigerator. Soon Nathan picked up the frying pan and lit the stove. Pouring a little cooking oil with medium fire, he remembered what Mikayla had taught him first.

Nathan fries eggs with a dreamy every thought of his late wife makes Nathan into the passage of time so dark endless. Until the sound of the alarm made Nathan immediately aware, the smoke had billowed so as to make the alarm that he installed sounded loudly.

Roughly scooping Nathan's face after turning off the stove, he stared at the now black egg on the frying pan. Nathan, who wanted to throw away the egg, stopped his movement, he abandoned his intention to waste the cow's eye egg.

Nathan took the plate with a bit of white rice as usual and the black cow's eye egg next to him was complete with sweet soy sauce. He began to include his bitter-tasting food, despite wearing the bitter sweet soy sauce, it was so thick in his mouth that he even painstakingly swallowed every mouthful for the sake of his dinner today.

Now Nathan is sitting with a bottle of liquor next to the nightstand, where Mikayla's drugs are stored. Every time he felt regret and sadness remembering Mikayla all Nathan did was blame himself and forget all by drinking liquor.

With pain and regret in his life all this time, Nathan continued to gulp the drink that felt burning his throat continuously. He stared poignantly at the expired medicine bottles inside the nightstand drawer.

"If time could be turned back, I would definitely not waste you Mika. I-I will definitely be a good husband to you." Nathan's rag is getting drunk.

"If I had trusted you more, if I had followed all your words, if I had not realized Laura's lies sooner, we would still be living happily." Said Nathan who continued to fumble with tears and occasionally laughed.

"What you said, I'm so sorry Mika. I miss you very much, I love you." Nathan said again before he lost consciousness.

Nathan fell asleep drunk but the sadness of his heart was evident from the strokes of his face, especially the tears that often dripped every night accompanying his sleep. Nathan always hoped that Mika would meet him even if only in a dream.

The sound of the ringing of the cell phone rang out deafeningly, appearing to be a burly man still rolling weakly helplessly on the cold floor. His body was just squirming but his two eyes were still tightly closed.

Back the sound of the phone makes him forced to wake up from his sleep, looks the name of Zaki a middle high school friend calling. Nathan put back his cell phone that kept ringing, it felt like this morning his whole body was crumbling dimly and also his stomach was nauseous.

Looking at Nathan's pale face with a sweat, he slumped sitting by leaning against the bathroom wall near the sink. The sound of the phone ringing again rang, Nathan just leaned limp there.

After gathering the rest of the energy and washing his face, Nathan stepped slowly towards the mattress and picked up the phone lying on the floor. Zaki had already contacted Nathan nearly ten times, making Nathan astonished because Zaki very rarely repeated his call if it was not important.

Nathan, who almost contacted Zaki, again abandoned his intention because the incoming call from Zaki had already come first, and Natha picked him up.

"Hello, what's up Za?" Ask Nathan quickly.

"Good, Nathan! You from anywhere, I've contacted you dozens of times but no answer." Cecar Zaki from phone.

"Sorry, I-I"

"Have .... already ... have you opened my message yesterday?" Ask Zaki to cut.

"Message? Not yet." Nathan answered honestly.

"Woilah, quickly open my message first. You don't fly straight to my house." Zaki said with a soft chuckle.

Nathan just raised his eyebrows, he himself was not so excited to open Zaki's message which is usually a matter of college or business material. "Why? You having trouble working on your thesis?" Nathan asked lazily.

"Woi, it's not like that! Yesterday I met the angel spec girl, you regret not seeing her." Denied Zaki who was still chuckling in embarrassment.

Nathan just raised both his eyes off guard, "Just a second." The answer.

Nathan immediately turns off Zaki's call and starts to open a short contact message on his phone, which Zaki sees as sending a picture to Nathan. Nathan quickly rounded his eyes while reading Zaki's message and also saw a photo of a girl from behind.

"No, it's impossible. Mikaylaku has calmed down in heaven" Nathan said in tears.

Nathan quickly wiped away the tears that came out just like that, "I just missed him too much, Mikayl I've calmed down." Nathan said again.

Nathan's phone rang again, Zaki called back quickly and he picked it up.

"How do you believe what I say?" Ask Zaki quickly.

"No way, Zak. It was clear that Mikayla's body was put in a chest in front of my eyes and my own head. That's not my Mikayl." Nathan replied with tightness in his chest.

"THAT'S MIKAYLA ANDERSON, Nathan! Even I hugged her and asked her directly, if you don't believe just come to your wife's house uh what's your ex-wife." Zaki said with Nathan's reassurance.
