99 Love for You

99 Love for You
99CU(S2): For Love

I glanced at my watch, and it was ten in the night when I got home. Papa must have slept, I thought. But a voice startled me as I began to enter the living room and was about to go upstairs to my room.

"You've gone home Rangga." That's Papa's voice. He hasn't slept yet.

I stopped my steps and faced Papa. "Why haven't you slept?"

"You missed dinner. Where have you been?"

"I... "

"Well, Rangga must be tired, let him rest first. Tomorrow we'll talk again." Aunt Sandra came to my defence.

"Tante doesn't have to defend me. If Papa wants to talk now. Let's talk!"

"So good you are so proud!! Because of that woman you turned out like this."

"Don't get Cecilia into this. Our family is used to this, right? Papa always demands that I do everything Papa wants. Forcing me to be what Papa wanted me to be. The company and Nadine. And all that time I never denied Papa. But now--I won't be quiet anymore. I'll do what I think is right. I love Cecilia. And I'll fight for our love."

There's no point arguing with Papa. After expressing all my wishes, I left Papa and Aunt Sandra stunned to see me dare to dispute her will.

I don't know why I'm worried about Rangga. He twice ran away from his father. I don't want any misunderstanding between him and Mr. President. Amel said all this time their relationship was not as good as it was reported. Huuufffftttt, I feel guilty.

I went to the office early today. I want to see Rangga first. I waited for him in the parking lot of the office.

Shortly after, I saw his car enter the parking lot. I approached him who had just got out of the car.

"Good morning, Mr. Rangga." I said

"Morning. Who's Cecil? What are you doing here?"

"Umm, here. I have something to talk about." I glanced at Danny.

"Oh, okay. Then excuse me, Rangga, Miss Cecil." Danny left us, but he turned and looked at me.

"Umm, looks like I should start getting used to calling Ms. Cecil with Ms. Cecil's call. Isn't that right, Mommy?"

I'm laughing a little. "It's up to you, Dan." Then Danny was completely drowned behind the walls of the parking lot.

"How's it?" ask me without a stale base.

"How's what?" Rangga scrunched his forehead.

"Don't pretend, Rangga."

"I'm not pretending. You suddenly asked how."

I pinched Rangga's stomach. He can't stand being amused if I pinch his queen's belly.

"Aw!!! Sick, Cil."

"Sick or ticklish?" I kept teasing him.

"Both. Alright enough! What do you want to talk about?"

"You ran away twice at your Papa's important event. How can I not wonder?"

"Didn't I tell you everything yesterday? Besides, my relationship with Papa isn't as good as you think. We used to argue. So you just calm down."

"Either that. I don't want your relationship with Mr. President to get worse because of me."

"Cecil--I told you, don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine. Okay?" Rangga.

Being with you makes me calm, Rangga. Thank you for being in my life. If I hadn't judged you so badly, I might have chosen to be your wife instead of Mas Alvian's wife.

Oh my!!! What the hell is on your mind, Cecil? Now the President does not necessarily agree with you, especially before. Don't expect more, Cil. Look, that's enough for me.

While having lunch with Amel and Hana, I got a phone call from someone. I was surprised that he knew my phone number. The caller asked to meet me after office hours.

I'm asserting. She is the President's Mother. He wants to meet me. What's the matter? My heart is pounding pretty fast. I hope it's not something bad.

The President's mother gave me a five-star address. Yes, too, the class of the President's mother will not meet someone in a random place.

After work I headed to the address that the President's mother gave me. The trip was only about fifteen minutes from my office.

Arriving there, I looked around the restaurant. Slender. Not many people come here. I met the assistant to the President's mother, Vivi.

"Please get through here." Vivi.

I nodded my head.

It turned out to be a private room. Vivi reported to the President's mother if I had come. Then let me in.

"Thank you, Mom."

"Don't be awkward. Just relax. I won't do anything to you."

"Eh?" Did Madam President realize the expression on my face was very tense? Probably the same as a girl who met her future mother-in-law for the first time.

"I'm sorry I suddenly asked you to come. You must be surprised."

"It's okay, Mom."

"Just go ahead Cecil. You know if I'm not Rangga's birth mother?"

"Huh? I-iya Ma'am, I know."

"Although I am only a mother continued Rangga, but I consider Rangga like my own child. I love Rangga. Even though Rangga never considered me as his mother. When I heard about you, I was happy, because Rangga finally found his love. He's not the kind of person who gets along easily with other people. He's always been cold to any woman."

I listened to the President's mother's story carefully.

"Cecil, even though Mr. President has not approved of your relationship, I ask you not to give up first. I know it's not easy to face my husband, but-if you believe in the power of your love, I'm sure he'll also be devastated."

The President's mother held my hand. I saw sincerity in his eyes.

"Please promise me you won't leave Rangga no matter what."

The President's mother looked at me. This--- A pretty heavy request for me. But, I'll try.

"Yes, Mom. I promise."

There was a glimmer of a smile on the face of the President's Mother. It was great to know that someone was supporting me in the midst of this struggle.

I waited for Cecil on the front porch of his house. Amel said Cecil went home in a hurry. He didn't say anything to Amel. Just saying he has some business outside. I got worried. Many times I called his phone but it was not picked up. I was afraid something would happen to her.

After waiting for some time, finally Cecilia's car entered the courtyard of the house. I hurried to stand up and ran towards him. He was surprised to see me at his house.

"The ladder? Why are you here?" tanyanya.

"You're okay, right?"

"Yes I'm fine. What's up Rangga?"

I hugged him right away. "Thank you because you're okay. Thank you." Thank you."

"Come on, what happened to you?"

I confirmed my standing position. I don't want to look worried about him.

"Where have you been? Amel said you left in a hurry." My tone I made firm.

"Ooh that? I met someone. You were waiting for me earlier? Why not go in? Didn't you come home?"

"Meet someone? Who?"

"Try guessing."

"Where do I know, Cil."

"Mother President--" Whispered in my ear.

"Mother President? You mean--Tante Sandra?"

"Yes!" Cecil nodded steadily.

"What business is it meeting him?" I'd be lazy to get in touch with Aunt Sandra.

"Why your face? Rangga listen to me first. What you think about the President's mother is all untrue. He's not that kind of person."

"You mean?"

"He's not as bad as you think, Rangga. He supports our relationship."

"What kind of empty tooth is Cil?"

"I know you don't like him, because you feel he snatched your mama's position. But... Try to look at it from the other side. He loves you, Ga. And he wants us to fight for the President's blessing."

"No, Cil. He must be just pretending. I know exactly who he is."

"Try to open yourself up with it. Please, for my sake. Yea?"

Damnit. Why would Cecil have to defend that woman? I still don't trust him. I'm sure he must be up to something.
