99 Love for You

99 Love for You
New Neighbor

*Cecilia PoV*

Today Mas Alvian and his family went to pick up Nayla from the police station. Arriving at home, I saw Nayla looking very shabby, her body looking thin, and her eyes glaring. His body was so weak that Mas Alvian kept holding onto his arm and stroking him to walk. She must have been in shock staying a few days at the police station.

Mas Arif's gaze was still the same to me. She hated me. He didn't like me in the past. After this incident, she must have hated me even more. It felt like my chest was tight, having to be in this kind of situation. They are my family, but they consider me a stranger.

Mas Alvian drove Nayla to her room. I don't care if Mas Alvian will sleep in Nayla's room or in this room with me. Mas Alvian had never considered Nayla to be his wife. Not now. Is everything going to change?

I was shocked when Mas Alvian turned out to be back in my room. Our rooms. I'm still sitting on the edge of the bed. Alvian sat next to me. She's staring. And I returned his gaze. He looks sad. Then hugged me.

"I'm sorry, Cil. Sorry if everything went this way. I am sad like you. Losing our only daughter, I was also devastated. But that doesn't mean we can blame Nayla. He's been helping us look after Tasya. Please forgive me, Cil."

I feel sorry for him. I don't want to be like this either. But why from the beginning you weren't honest with me. That's what confused me.

"Yes, Mas. I'm also sorry for causing such a mess in this family."

Mas Alvian let go of his embrace. He smiled at me. I smiled at him too. Although somewhat forced.

...***...

Mom called me and asked me to stop by the house after work. He said the shop house that used to be our cake shop, has been repaired and used as a residence. There are people who are willing to occupy the house. That house is next to our house. After the cake shop moved to a larger shophouse, the shop next door became empty and no one occupied it.

I think that's a good idea. Because I have a close neighbor who can be asked for help if there is anything. All this time, my mother lived alone.

I've asked her to stay with me and Mas Alvian, but she refused. He can't leave Dad's house. Our cake shop was also closer to Mom's house.

When I got home, my mother greeted me. As usual, he asked me. I replied that I was okay.

The matter with Nayla as well as my sister-in-law, I better not tell Mom. My mother took me to the house next door. The house is not far away. It just takes a few steps.

"Mom already bought some home furniture to fill the house. So the tenant doesn't have to buy a lot of furniture."

"Actually I know that you would agree, but there's no harm if I ask your opinion. And you're acquainted with our tenant's house."

How surprised I was to find out who would rent our house. The annoying cop who asked me to continue the Tasya accident case.

"Son Ismail, meet this mother's daughter, her name is Cecilia. Cecil, this is Ismail's son, he's a cop." My mother introduced me to Ishmael.

Well, I know him, Mom. My inner.

I smiled bitterly looking at him. As for Ishmael, he smiled very widely. It was as if he had just won the lottery.

"You guys just talk, I'll make you tea first." Mom left us both.

I stared hard at Ishmael. "What are you doing here?" I asked her cynically.

And it turns out that all his stuff has gone into this house.

What the fuck? Mom said she wanted to ask me if I agreed or not with the new residents of our house.

But why, Mom seems to have agreed that this cop is going to rent our house.

I laughed bitterly. "Don't joke. You're tailing me, huh? How do you know if my mom rented out the house? You must have deliberately rented this house. So that you can continue to urge me to continue my son's case. How many times have I told you, don't interfere in my business and my family's. You don't know shit. You don't know what I feel. So please, stop this. You should not rent this house. You better find somewhere else."

"I'm sorry I was impressed to follow you. But I really need a place to stay. I feel like this is a suitable place. And as for your case, I'm not forcing you to continue, but I beg you, to trust the police. Please trust us. We will give you justice. Because I know exactly how you feel."

"Enough!!! I don't want to hear anymore. I know you guys are just taking advantage of this situation. You know my husband is a celebrity. That's why you want to publish this case, so that you can gain popularity in the community. You deliberately want to spread this case to the media. That right?"

"No, Mistress. We had absolutely no intention of that. We just want to help you. That's all! Because I know what you feel. Losing someone we love is painful."

"Stop saying if you know what I'm feeling. You don't know anything about how I feel. Have you ever lost a child?" My eyes are getting hot.

Ishmael remained silent.

"Oh, maybe I should ask first, are you married? Seems not yet. Why do you know about my feelings? You don't know anything about how I feel. So please, don't interfere any more with my family's affairs. If you really need a place to stay, I'll let you rent this house. But don't let you cross the line!"

I left Ishmael and headed to Mother's house. On the way I met my mother.

"You guys finished talking? Come on, son Ismail, I've made tea."

"Thank you, Mom. But I have to go back to the office."

I didn't know Ishmael was leaving the house.

And he walked away after saying goodbye to Mom.

Mom seems to like him a lot. Oh, come on, who doesn't like the police?

Men with well-proportioned bodies, neat hair, and sometimes a handsome face. Just like this Ishmael, he also had a handsome face. Tall, and nice, which my mom might not like. I smiled at my mother.

"Hows it? You agree, don't you, if Nak Ismail rents our house? Ask your mother when we have tea together. I scrunched my forehead.

"Mom thinks he's a warm and kind person, and also polite. After all, he's a cop, so I feel calmer even if I live here alone."

Yes, mother was right. All this time I was often worried because my mother lived alone. It's also good if you live close to a police officer.

If you notice, this Ismail seems like a good person. Even though I don't like his attitude of wanting to interfere with my family's affairs.
