I know that I can count on Mas Arif. The next day, he immediately flew to Jakarta with Mbak Sari.
I picked her up at the airport. And head straight to the police station.
Still the police wouldn't let us meet Nayla, because Nayla was still in the interrogation room.
I discussed with Mas Arif and also the lawyer. The only way Nayla can get out is for Nayla to speak honestly with the investigator, according to the lawyer.
But Mr. Adnan, the lawyer I hired who met Nayla several times, said that Nayla still did not want to talk about anything.
I blame myself. Sari's mother tried to calm me down. And Mas Arif again discussed with Mr. Adnan.
"There's one way that Bu Nayla can be free of all this." Said Mr. Adnan.
"What's that?" Tanya Mas Arif enthusiastically.
"Sir Alvian, you better apologize to Ms. Cecil, and ask her to have all these problems resolved with kinship. We mediate."
"I've spoken to Cecil, sir. But there's no result, Cecil still wants the case to continue."
"Let's just talk to him." Arif looked at me sharply. I know he's angry.
I'm sorry, Cil. I have to involve Mas Arif in this matter.

"Cecilia!!!!" Shouted Mas Arif as soon as he got home.
Cecil came down from upstairs. The look on his face instantly changed the moment he saw Mas Arif. He looked at me sharply too. As if hinting at why I should call my brother here because of this matter?
"What's up, Mom? When did you guys come? Why not tell me?" ask Cecil to make small talk.
"How dare you report Nayla for your son's accident, huh?! Quickly withdraw the demands or you will regret it later!!" And Mas Arif answered without making small talk.
"So Mas Arif already knows everything?" Cecil glanced at me.
"You don't have the right to report Nayla. Your son was killed by a truck, and the driver has been jailed. Tomorrow you have to drop the charges!!!"
I saw Cecil's hands clenched, he was also very angry. Just like Mas Arif.
"You think by reporting Nayla you're already a good mother? Have you forgotten who has been taking care of your child for a year? Take her to school, help her with PR, accompany her to play while you're busy. You forgot all that??!! Plus, with what your mom did to Nayla. Your mother called it inappropriate words in front of mourners. How do you think Nayla felt then?" Mas Arif's voice was heard almost all over the house.
"I-I didn't mean that, Mom. I-I did this because there was something Nayla covered up on the day of the accident." Cecil's voice began to tremble.
"We can talk about all this in a family way. Not in this way. Yes already, anyway Mas do not want to know, you must immediately withdraw the claim. Don't let this news spread widely and put our families to shame." Mas Arif waltzed away leaving Cecil who was still glued.
I'm approaching Cecil. Slip back. He looks at me cynically. I know he's mad at me.
"How old are you, Mom? You are this old you are still complaining. Like a child. It's our family business. Why do you have to involve your sister?"
"Cil, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to corner you. I just don't want this thing to drag on."
"If you were honest with me from the beginning. None of this is going to happen, Mom. You should be able to think before you act." Cecil passed from before me.
I rubbed my face. Hopefully Cecil is willing to drop his demands.

I keep working as usual. I don't care what Mas Arif will do.
I was a little scared of him. Because from the beginning he didn't like me. And for years he still couldn't accept me as part of his family. I took a deep breath before I came out of my room.
I see the house looks lonely. Have they left? I met Neneng and asked him. Sure enough, according to Neneng they all left early in the morning. I breathed a sigh of relief because I didn't have to see them first.
At lunchtime, Mr. Ismail called me. He asked me to go to the police station immediately. He said that Mas Arif was there from morning.
As expected, they must have met Nayla. I immediately asked Hana for permission. And asked him to convey to Mr. Rangga.
Arriving at the police station, I saw Mas Arif's sharp gaze on me. He'll be looking for me like last night. He walked towards me.
"You haven't dropped the charges?" His voice was soft but full of pressure.
"No, Mas. Why the hell?" I asked a brave ass.
Sari's mother approached me. She is the wife of Arif, and the sister-in-law of Mas Alvian. He was the one who always supported me.
"I'm sorry about Mas Arif's attitude, Cil. He didn't mean to corner you. He just feels responsible for Nayla. So does Alvian. They both promised Alif to take care of Nayla. That's why they don't want anything to happen to Nayla." Sari's voice is soft and soothing.
"Better, you follow what Mas Arif wants. Don't let him do anything bad. You know what your sister-in-law is?" Sari looked at me pity. He wants justice for me. But on the one hand he doesn't want me to get hurt either.
If I continue this case, Mas Arif will do something beyond the limit. In this moment, I have to put my ego aside.

This woman came to my office. With her eyes empty. I saw the look in his eyes full of burdens.
"I want to drop my charges for my son's accident. I want to solve this problem with mediation and kinship."
I'm aghast. He spoke very calmly and flatly. I know he had to say this.
"Are you sure? Yesterday it wasn't you yourself who insisted on processing the case. Why come-tib----"
"I want to cancel it. That's all! Please hurry up and take care of the retraction!" He began to raise his tone.
I let out a breath. I'm sure there's something he's covering up. "There are parties who are corrupting you. Is that true?"
He looked at me sharply. "It's none of your business! You better take care of it!"
I gave him a piece of paper I had tucked neatly.
"Where should I sign?" I showed you a column that said his name. "Have you? Is Nayla gonna be released soon?"
"We'll process first, ma'am. It all takes time."
The madam? Since when did I call him that. He seemed uncomfortable with the call. Why am I so nervous talking to him?
I saw him leave my room. And I didn't realize it. I immediately ran after him.
"Wait, Madam!!" I took his hand. He was shocked and immediately brushed it off.
"What else is it? My business is done here." He seemed to fold his hands in front of his chest.
"Sorry Madam. But.... Are you sure of this decision you made? Please think again, Madam. I'm sure there must be someone forcing you to do this. Aye right? I know you have to."
He looked at me very sharply and disliked my statement.
"I told you not to interfere!! This is none of your business Mr Ismail Marzuki!!"
"You have to believe that we will give justice to your child. Please Madam, think again!"
"I've signed the letter you made earlier. Why do you insist that I continue? You don't be silly!! Don't bully you police You can act arbitrarily. Excuse me!!"
I keep on cussing myself. I'm really stupid. I shouldn't have let him get so easily off his charges.
Romi who saw me immediately rebuked me. I don't usually behave like this. I don't know why I wouldn't want Mrs Cecilia to drop her charges so easily.
I know she's under pressure from her husband's family. Wait up! Why is her husband's family so defending that woman named Nayla? I'm messing with my hair.
"Well!! Looks like our prince is going through a heavy mess." Doctor Herning suddenly walked into my room. He's a forensic doctor here.
Romi nudged Doctor Herning's hand. Tell me it's not time for him to tease me.
"Why? You must be confused, why is the celebrity's family so defending the woman named Nayla?"
I round my eyes. How did he know I was thinking about it.
"Mr? Ye? You know anything about this?"
"of course. Everyone is talking about this. Comehere! I'll whisper something." Sister Herning whispered something in my ear.
I'm appalled. Yes, it can be guessed. There's something strange about this case.
I am getting my resolve. I will try to convince Mrs Cecilia that she will continue with the case.
