Chapter.33 A Changing World #Projects Building Dangerous/Monster Territory Limits

The next day, I returned to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense building for a meeting on the Monster/Dangerous Territory Barrier development project.

It was then decided that we would ask for help or rather possibly use the civilians especially the refugees for this project. By asking the citizens to use their SP to get/buy Skill [Mana Perception], [Mana Control] and [Earth Magic]. And make them build a barrier wall for the Dangerous Territory so that no monsters roam the region where humans live.

Thus this project is also delivered to all regions in Indonesia.

After the meeting was over, I was assigned to one of the Platoon with about 30 soldiers led by Captain Haris to take care of this project in the South Jakarta Region.

After my introduction to them, we prepared to immediately go to one of the refugee camps in the South Jakarta Area.

When we arrived, it seemed that the information about the Monster Region barrier construction plan had already been passed on to the person in charge of the camp. So that the collection of personnel can be done quickly.

Merely, I did not think that the personnel of the civilians were not as much as I thought. Most of them are refugees.

After investigation, it turns out that there are several factors that affect the results. First, there is a lack of SP.

The initial SP was based on the amount of Luck stat at the beginning, not to mention the Skill price had gone up after the Bonus Time ended, with the Skill [Mana Perception] price, being the, [Mana Control] and [Earth Magic] became 3 SP each Skill.

Second, the government does not require it and only asks citizens to volunteer, although the government will also provide payment/salary to them.

Most of these volunteers are refugees. What's more, almost all of the volunteers were elderly around middle age. Most likely because the youths, had used their SPs to obtain the Skills they wanted or just wanted to keep them.

Because they think that the government is also unlikely to know the amount of SP they have. While there may be some people who have some sort of judgment skill on the part of the government, those people may think that the government is unlikely to check them one by one. And they are right.

However, we immediately started the Monste Region/Busyar Region Barrier Development Project.

First I explained and showed them especially the police who were assigned to help with this project how to do it. Once they understood it, I was assigned to be a guard just like the soldiers while they would take care of the construction matters.

In the beginning, the construction of the barrier was very slow because their skill Level which was only Level 1 with MP was quite low as well. Because the government also did not announce any information regarding Mana Circle.

And most people have also distributed their BSP to the Physical stat as it can increase their Physical strength, especially by increasing the Vitality stat which increases endurance.

Not to mention there was a match factor of each individual's Magic Affinity. So not everyone has a match with Earth Magic.

If your affinity is low towards magic, then you will have difficulty using that Magic and the consumption of Mana is greater or the effects of magic are smaller. Not to mention it was difficult to raise his Level.

Nonetheless, the project is going well. With sometimes there were small groups of monsters in sight and started attacking us, but the soldiers who became guards easily overcame them. And I don't even have to intervene.

We built the Monster Region Barrier with a greater distance than the area of the Dangerous Zone before, so that only a small group of monsters could be seen and attacked us. It's like making a giant cage to lock up monsters.

The speed of this Magic-based construction became faster in the following days, because after their Skill Levels also increased, moreover, the number of volunteers also increased.

Despite this, we only completed 2 Dangerous Territory Barrier with an area of over 5 km after 5 days, and then I was assigned to Tangerang District Region because it seemed like they were used to it and there were only a few more Dangerous Areas in South Jakarta.

And so I ended up being a guard along with the new Team in the Region, which turned out to be still quite slow even after 6 days of getting instructions from the center.

I muttered to myself after seeing the speed of the wall being built.

"Haha, of course it will be slow. Since this is the new Team, which is separate from the main Team" Sahut voices a man who approached me while I was paying attention to the work of the people who are doing this Magic-based construction.

"ah! Captain Bagas" (Ochid)

I exclaimed after seeing the figure of the man, Captain Bagas. He was a middle-aged man who led a Platoon of soldiers guarding the security of this Team. He has a height above the average height of Indonesians, with a fairly stocky body as well.

"The main team is taking care of development in other Dangerous Areas, because there are still many Dungeons that have not been cleared in this Region, Tangerang Regency. So a new Team is formed to take care of other Dangerous Areas so that the project is completed more quickly even though the expenditure also increases" (Captain Bagas)

So anyway. Then it means that the number of Dungeons left in Jakarta is less than the Tangerang Regency.

"Captain Bagas, can I help with the wall construction work as well? Because there seems to be no monsters coming, and if there are monsters coming, the soldiers are more than enough to overcome a small group of monsters" (Ochid)

More than that, I just feel too bored because me and the soldiers who become guards are not allowed to play mobile phones while on guard. All I did was shut up without doing anything.

Since I have a Google Map that can see the position of living things with a distance of 7 km, I do not need to be on guard with the arrival of monsters.

It seems that the reach of my Google Map increased after my Level rose quite high.

After thinking for a moment, Captain Bagas said that even though he seemed to know that I was just bored.

Maybe he's letting me because I'm not a soldier.

With that I turned around to help do the Magic-based construction work that happened in the back row.

But when I was still in the middle of the journey there, there was a strange movement in the red dots in the Dungeon and nearby.

The group of red dots that were inside the Dungeon had been outside the Dungeon so I could see the exact position.

And the groups of red dots that were around him began to move to gather together with the group.

Sensing a bad feeling, I immediately ran back towards Captain Bagas.

"Captain Bagas! We have to evacuate the citizens immediately!" (Ochid)

Before I even got in front of her, I shouted to suggest it to her.

" ? HIS?" (Captain Bagas)

Captain Bagas made a puzzled expression on his face.

Well, of course he would be confused if I suddenly suggested to evacuate not long after I asked permission to skip the task of being a guard.

"Why do we have to evacuate, son Ochid?" (Captain Bagas)

"A very large army of monsters is on its way to Captain Bagas!" (Ochid)

"really?!! But how do you know, son?" (Captain Bagas)

He was surprised, but not too sure and asked me why.

'Uhk, do I have to tell him about my Google Map... '

No, I can't reveal my abilities so easily.

"Well this is kind of my hunch" (Ochid)

"Mm, if it's just a hunch then I'm not too sure...." (Captain Bagas)

Of course he wouldn't be sure if I said just because of my premonition, because he and some of his subordinates have a Detection Skill to sense the presence of monsters if there are monsters lurking around us.

And they did not feel any monsters in their Detection area, nor did my Detection area that was not as large as the Google Mapku area.

But I felt that we had been stalked for a long time after seeing the movement of the monsters on my Google Map.

There might be some monsters that have Concealment or Stealth abilities. But is it possible that the Stealth Monster Skill Level is higher than me...

Yes it was one of the possibilities, and it was even possible that the Monster possessed the complete Skill of all three Concealment Skills.

Or maybe they're stalking us from a distance beyond the reach of my detection....

Since Google Mapku did not have the ability to detect individuals using the Concealment Skill, then the position of those individuals would not be displayed on the map. Unless the individual is within range of the area of my Detection Skill and the Concealment Skill is lower or equal to my Detection Skill then his position will be displayed on the map. Even though it meant that I only needed to feel it with my own Detection Skill without having to look at the map.

For now, let's leave aside the weakness of my Google Map ability, because I have to convince Captain Bagas to evacuate the citizens as soon as possible.
