Ranti immediately boarded the bus as soon as her destination bus arrived at the stop. He seemed to be in a hurry and occasionally looked at the circular watch on his wrist to make sure that he would not be late to come to work or the manager where he worked would be furious later. And some of his seniors.
Upon arriving at a cafe where he works part-time, Ranti hurriedly enters and changes clothes, she gets a cynical look and also a reprimand from one of her seniors there for indeed arriving late. He could not make it on time even though he was in a hurry.
"Yesterday is late, today is also late. Want to get rich gini next?" protest, not accept.
"Ranti, 'will still be a schoolboy, naturally if late, he has a lot of business and the distance from school here is not deket." one of them defends Ranti and makes Ranti feel much better even though she still feels disturbed by the senior who still raises a dislike gaze at her.
Since the beginning of working there, his senior did not seem to like it. But Ranti never cared, she only intended to work there, not want to fuss with anyone.
"Ranti, please deliver a drink to table number 11, well." the senior who defended Ranti asked for her help as well as to get her out of the situation. Ranti nodded and immediately fulfilled her orders along with the senior who disliked her who was also delivering food.
Ranti never thought that far if her dislikeful senioaranya would have the heart to do the unexpected when she deliberately preceded her step and nudged Ranti's shoulder hard, with a bang, making the drink the girl was carrying spilled over a visitor who was sitting at table number nine. Instantly, a commotion occurred because the visitor who did not receive was hit by a drink.
"Mak pumya mata no, anyway!" it means Ranti. "Sorry, Mom, sorry, I didn't mean it." Ranti immediately picked up the tissue and tried to wipe the woman's wet clothes but her hands were pushed aside with a rough movement.
"Be careful, Ma'am. If the hot food sheds, what is my fate, Ma'am want responsibility?"
"Don't have money for hospital fees?" he seemed to not accept what happened to him, senior Ranti smiled satisfied to see it, while Ranti chose to crouch and pick up the broken glass. He did not not not know if his senior deliberately did this to him, but he could not do anything.
What happened confiscated the attention of all visitors, especially the cafe manager went down directly and Ranti had resigned in her place, which everyone saw was her carelessness, she would be the one to blame.
"Are you working or not?" the cafe manajaer looks angry at Ranti for making her visitors protest.
"Your salary will not be enough to make compensation if my visitors why." he was getting angry no matter the situation, making Ranti feel embarrassed in his place because everyone was staring at him.
"You work here because you need money, you want to get fired?" Ranti looked up, stared intently at the cafe management, making the short man not accept.
"Are you glaring? You dare?"
In the end, Ranti could only bow, she had no power to resist even though her heart was in revolt right now.
"Sorry, Sir. Whether we should look at the cctv footage, I see him being pushed by his partner over there." a man in his raincoat spoke up and pointed at senior Ranti who was smiling in satisfaction of seeing the girl scolded, but slowly his smile was met with such accusations. If the cctv recording is checked, it means that it cannot be evasive.
Ranti looked up, looking at Andri who was standing there with an annoyed look at the cafe manager. But it was not Andri who spoke, but the young man beside him.
"It should be that, as a cafe manager, you don't blame your employees right away without knowing what's going on" she said.
"Moreover scolding it in front of your own visitors. What do you think they'll think."
The cafe manager circulated a glance, looking at everyone who was staring at him with astonished gazes even partially full of scorn. He looked back at the man and spoke. "You have no right to interfere in my affairs!"
"I want to meet with the cafe owner." he said, this time making the cafe manager look panicked.
"Uu–for what?"
"I intend to buy this cafe." he said, which made the cafe manager and senior Ranti look panicked. While Andri intervened himself helping Ranti rise from her squatting position.
"Why? I'm interested in buying this cafe, so you'll be the first person I fire. I don't like my subordinates to do anything." he said, looking angry. How not, the cafe manager scolded his employees without asking first about the chronology of events. Even scolding his employees in public, tantamount to humiliating, Gibran did not like to see it.
"No need, sir. I don't want to work here anymore. I was poor, needed a job and needed money. But that doesn't mean I have to be willing to have my self-esteem trampled." Ranti open sound.
"I'm human and I want to be humanized" he continued, but Gibran held his hand, making Ranti look at the man, for a while he was fixated before then the sentence that came out of Gibran's mouth interrupted him.
"At least your boss and senior should apologize." he said, making senior Ranti immediately restrained on Ranti to apologize, he did not want to be fired. Moreover, he did not want to lose his job if Gibran really bought the cafe.
"I'm sorry Ranti, I was wrong. I intentionally pushed you. I'm sorry." I regret looking begged Ranti. While Ranti looked at him with an unreadable look, she wanted to get angry and cursing back, yet she was quite able to hold back the emotions.
"You're not gonna apologize?" Gibran urged the cafe manager who made the man apologise to Ranti, as much as the rest of his employees, he pleaded.
He knows God is forgiving, so he is unworthy not to forgive his fellow men. But his determination was unanimous if he would get out of the cafe. He cannot survive in a place where he cannot be appreciated.
"Thank you Om Andri, for helping me today" said Ranti when they were in the parking area.
"I didn't do anything, Ranti. Gibran helped you." Andri replied with a smile. Gibran beside the man smiled at Ranti. Ranti smiled back with a grateful nod of her head.
"Oh, Gibran this is Ranti, my daughter's best friend." Andri introduced.
"Hay Ranti, I'm Gibran." Gibran introduced himself.
"Ranti, sir." the girl smiled, as Gibran also smiled with a charming look and charmed her.
"Thank you for helping me" said the girl. "Either. After all, you are not wrong, I see everything and I can not be fooled." said Gibran in detail. As he said if he did see it and he couldn't let innocent people be treated unfairly.
Andri who heard that just smiled and patted Gibran's back proudly.
"Then I go first, well Om." said Gibran later.
"You're going straight back to the company?" ask Andri. Gibran nodded his head when he arrived at the cafe only to fulfill Andri's request to invite him in person to attend his company's birthday celebration.
"Be careful."
"Yes, Om. Andri was careful, too." Gibran passed to his car. Ranti just stared at the man's back. Even Gibran looks very handsome even if only seen from behind. Unknowingly Ranti smiled, remembering how the gentleman had helped and restored her self-esteem.
Ranti felt a strange thump in her heart. Debaran, which he had never felt before.
