"Let's build a real household."
Nirmala was stunned by Vano's invitation. His heart was very touched. Tears did not feel like they had fallen. "Did he just propose to me?"
"Vano, a-a-i ...."
Nirmala had trouble answering Vano's words. The throbbing in his heart was so fast that his mouth, tongue and lips were hard to move. Since his wife was silent, Vano thought Nirmala was still not ready.
"I'm not forcing you." Vano let go of his embrace. "You have to think things through. I don't want you to regret it later."
Nirmala turned around and immediately hugged the most powerful man in the Ravaldi extended family. "I want to."
Silence after Nirmala answered Vano's invitation. Nirmala still hugged Vano, while the man she hugged was still pecking. Maybe her husband still could not believe the answer she got.
A few seconds later, Vano returned Nirmala's embrace. Although the atmosphere in the room was quiet, but the two people who would love each other felt the warmth in their hearts.
"Thank you" said Vano.
Nirmala shakes. "It's not you who should say thank you, but I. Thank you for accepting myself so well from the beginning."
Yes from the beginning Nirmala had felt Vano's treatment was very good for him. It was just that the man was too cold to express his concern through expressions and words. And now he feels Vano has started to show change. What Farhan said is true.
Vano let go of his embrace. "How is Mrs Vano, is she ready to be a real wife?"
Nirmala smiled shyly, only this time Vano spoke with a slight joke. "No, yet" Nirmala replied with a small laugh.
Vano pulled Nirmala's head and kissed her forehead. "I get. I'll wait until you're really ready. Now get some rest, I gotta take care of some business."
Nirmala nodded. "All right."
Vano led Nirmala to sit on the edge of the bed. Not only did he help his wife sit up, he also helped Nirmala lift her legs up on the bed. After that he covered Nirmala.
"Don't forget to take the medicine and vitamins given by the doctor."
Nirmala nodded. Vano has started to talk a lot. "Well, I won't forget to take the medicine."
Before leaving, Vano kissed Nirmala again. "If you need anything, just call the waiter."
Nirmala nodded again. Though her husband is only going to go to the workspace, but the message is already equal to the people who will go wander.
"Yes." Yeah." Nirmala smiled and held back a laugh.
* * * *
A room has been messy and unkempt since a few days ago. Not only the contents of the room were random, but the humans who filled the room were feeling his heart ruffled.
For a few days he did not go to the office. He just spent the time to break all the stuff in his house.
"Nirmala! Why did you leave me?"
Rafan slumped to the floor. His hands were filled with blood. He did not care how many hundreds of millions of the total price of the goods he destroyed. Even his wounds had been untreated for days. The old wounds that were about to dry up repeatedly bled back as he continued to destroy the items that were in his house.
Now he doesn't care about anything. All in his head is Nirmala, a woman who has filled his heart for 5 years and has served 2 years as his wife.
"Nirmala, all these years I've maintained our love, but why in a matter of months everything's ruined?" Rafan. "I know I was wrong. Can't you give me a second chance? I promise to build everything from scratch, even without treasure."
Now Rafan is completely destroyed. There is no light of life in him. He was so sorry for what happened. Now he misses Nirmala very much, very much wants his ex-wife back to him.
"I miss you, my dear."
Despite smiling, Rafan could not stop the clear water flowing from his eyes. He kissed the screen and hugged it. "I miss you so much, Nirmala."
He wanted everything he had done to be true. Suddenly the shadow of the good times came back he remembered.
While daydreaming, suddenly a pony doll's head touched her cheek. Nirmala looked back. Rafan smiled widely and greeted him.
"Good afternoon, dear."
Nirmala smiled broadly then turned back to face the front, looking at the afternoon sky which added to the beauty of the garden.
"You're two minutes late." Nirmala pretended to be pouting.
Rafan sat down next to Nirmala. He looked at the afternoon sky. "Sorry." Then he looked at Nirmala. "I'm late because I just finished something." He smiles.
Nirmala looked at Rafan. "Something what?" ask Nirmala.
Rafan stood up and extended a hand. "Let's come with me."
Out of curiosity, Nirmala accepts her lover's hand and follows wherever Rafan steps. Before he gets to his destination, Rafan asks him to close his eyes. He also complies. After walking led by Rafan, Rafan finally asked him to stop.
"Now open your eyes."
Nirmala opened her eyes slowly. His eyes were straight round and shining. How not, in front of him there are heart-shaped balloons, there are rose petals arranged to resemble the word 'I Love You, Nirmala'.
He turned to Rafan, seeing that the man was already bending beside him. The man opened the ring box.
"Will you marry me?"
Nirmala covered her mouth with a palm because she was so flattered.
"Let's live happily with me. Let's build a house together. Let's have a hard time being happy together. Let's raise our children together. Let's age together. Let's love each other until we close our eyes."
Hearing Rafan's very touching invitation, Nirmala could not hold back tears.
"Yes, I want to."
Clapping sounds heard. From behind the trees came Rafan's coworkers. They are happy with a successful proposal. Rafan pairs the ring on Nirmala's ring finger. He stood up and hugged Nirmala.
"thank you. I love you."
"I love you too."
Rafan took off the phone from his embrace. He realized, everything was just a memory. Nirmala was no longer beside him. The promise he made was no longer fulfilled.
"Nirmala, I never thought this would happen. You know?" Rafan pointed at his chest. "You'll be here forever. Even if you no longer love me, even if you hate me, even if you no longer miss me, I will still love you, love you and miss you."
Rafan lay down sideways. He looked back at the photo of Nirmala. "I love you, I miss you. Good night, good night. May you sleep well there, and may you have a good dream, dear."
Lately that's what he does every night. No matter sleeping on the mattress or on the floor, it was important before going to bed that he could look at Nirmala's face even though it was only through photos. He will say good night as he did when he was with Nirmala.
Even though he knew what he was facing was reality, he still wished it was all just a nightmare. He hoped that the next morning when he opened his eyes Nirmala was beside him and said good morning.
"I love you, Nirmala." Rafan muttered as his eyes began to shut.
