Vano came back with a tray full of food. He sat down beside Nirmala. Nirmala shifted a little because their distance was too close. Realizing Nirmala was moving away, Vano sighed. It shifted away.
"I know you're not comfortable with me." Vano puts a tray between himself and Nirmala. "Eat. I'm going to the study."
Vano stood up and took the laptop he had placed on the table. After that, without looking, he left the room.
Nirmala looked at the tray that Vano was carrying. "I'm not uncomfortable. I'm just scared of you because of what happened that night." Nirmala smiles. "Thank you, you're trying to be gentle with me."
He knew what Vano meant by moving away and going to the study. The man must be upset because from last night he kept trying to get close, but did not get any response from his wife. And this afternoon he stayed away from Vano.
"And from this moment on don't ever ask me if I'm going to divorce you and give yourself back to that irresponsible ex-husband. I'll never let you go. From now on focus on your future and your happiness and the birth of our child."
Nirmala smiled, she remembered Vano's words at the hospital last night. "Maybe it's time I opened my heart to Vano. Even if he's cold, and stiff, whatever his flaws I'll try to love him."
'Tok-tok-tok'.
Vano looked towards the door. Just this time there was a servant who wanted to enter his room. No one had ever dared to knock on the door except Farhan. And he knew that now Farhan was in the office.
Though if curious he can blame the monitor screen and see who is standing in front of the door, but this time he was very reluctant to move a lot.
"Lake in."
'plek'
The door was opened and the man was neither a servant nor Farhan, but Nirmala. The woman entered with a tray in hand. He closed the door again and walked towards Vano.
"Sit on the sofa only," Vano ordered in his usual tone.
Nirmala sat there and put the tray on the table. Vano stood up and joined Nirmala. This time he deliberately sat with a considerable distance because he did not want to make Nirmala uncomfortable anymore.
"Have you eaten yet?" ask Nirmala.
"No, yet" Vano replied briefly. It seemed that his cold attitude had returned again.
Nirmala cleared her throat slowly to relieve her nervousness. He shifted closer to Vano, Now they were sitting side by side with less than two fingers apart. "Then let's eat together."
Vano frowned. His wife had sat away, and now his wife had come again, to eat together and to sit down. He was confused himself. "It turns out women are hard to understand."
"Do you want to?" ask Nirmala.
Vano. "All right."
The two of them started eating together. Because the spoons and forks there is only one, then they bribe alternately.
In the midst of eating, Vano hid a strange smile. He took a spoon from Nirmala's hand.
"The pop should also be tasted, but it's still hot."
Vano scoops the soup sauce and blows it slowly. Once it felt cold, he sipped the sauce. "Mmm, that's delicious. Try tasting."
Vano scooped the soup again and pointed it at Nirmala's mouth. "Be careful, it must be blown first."
Nirmala began to blow the sauce on the spoon. But unexpectedly Vano pulled the spoon and replaced it with his lips.
'Cup'
Vano turned his head again and smiled. "That's a thank you for bringing me to eat together."
Upset and angry, but shyness and heartbeats predominate. Finally Nirmala could only look down with a shy smile. Her husband really is just this. He did not expect behind the cold Vano there is a Vano who is good at stealing kisses.
"We're eating, why are you doing that." Nirmala did not dare to raise her face.
"Is it wrong for a husband to kiss his wife?" ask Vano while putting the spoon in the bowl.
Nirmala shakes. "No." Nirmala stand. "I'm full. I'll bring the dirty dishes downstairs."
Continuing to look down, Nirmala picked up the tray and left Vano's study. Seeing his wife so embarrassed and nervous, Vano smiled. "If he had kissed me first."
Maybe this is what is called love drunk. Vano was not aware that he was smiling by himself.
Vano reached into his pants pocket. Once the phone was in his grasp, he immediately contacted someone.
"Yes good afternoon too.replace my position for a week. I'm not going to the office for the next few days .. great." 'Tut-tut-tut' Vano immediately disconnected the phone unilaterally.
In Vano's room. Nirmala was on her back on the bed. His eyes looked at the ceiling of the room, his lips were smiling, and his mind kept thinking about the events that were happening in the Vano room.
Different from before, this time Vano's kiss was able to make her heart tremble. Even until now his heart continues to beat.
"What's wrong with me? Why would you want to hug Vano."
Nirmala covered her already reddened face. This is not the first time he has fallen in love. He understands how love is. But this time it was different, everything was slower but sure. He felt comfortable when he was next to Vano, he felt getting shelter and leaning back.
"Love? Maybe I'm starting to love her? But since when?" Nirmala opened her face again. "No, maybe this is just a flattering feeling over Vano's gentle treatment of me. I still love Rafa ...." He pondered. "Maybe," he continued.
She just remembered, since the first time she refused Vano back to Rafan, she had not missed her ex-husband. All that remains is hatred.
Again he remembered Vano's words. "And from this moment on don't ever ask me if I'm going to divorce you and give yourself back to that irresponsible ex-husband. I'll never let you go. From now on focus on your future and your happiness and the birth of our child."
"Our son?" Nirmala rubbed her belly which started to bulge, then smiled. "He recognized this child as his son. That means he really won't let me go again."
Nirmala got up and stood up. He stopped in front of a large window. From there he saw the view outside.
"Am I going to be happy with Vano?"
Nirmala breathed a heavy sigh. "If I'm not happy, what should I do?"
Suddenly someone hugged him from behind. It felt like someone's chin was stuck to his shoulder.
"Then try to be happy" said Vano softly.
The man's breath was able to make his neck feathers bristle. "Va-vanos?"
"Yes, it's me." Vano still did not let go of his embrace. "Let's build a real household."
Nirmala was stunned by Vano's invitation. His heart was very touched. Tears did not feel like they had fallen. "Did he just propose to me?"
"Vano, a-a-I."
