Aninda and Reyna fall asleep after sharing a story after a long time never to see each other again. And Aninda woke up. Watch the clock on the phone's screen.
"Hour 11.32." Mumbled.
Aninda got up and took the water. He performed two rakaat night prayers, followed by Istikharoh two rakaat prayers.
Aninda taught for a moment, then somehow her heart felt very stuffy in that room. He decided to go out and go to the park next to the hotel.
At midnight, the park doesn't look scary. There were still some people there and it seemed like they were a couple who spent time together.
The garden looks beautiful even in the middle of the night. The lights are still burning beautifully, coupled with moonlight and stars up there. Everything really looks beautiful.
Aninda sat on one of the park benches a bit away from some of the other couples who were also still in the park. Aninda looked up at the sky while praising the grandeur of her Creator. And slowly he closed his eyes, feeling the cold night wind that was able to make his heart feel relieved.
And suddenly he heard footsteps coming toward him. Aninda opened her eyes, looking at the footsteps of a man wearing a sarong, wearing a gray shirt and a peci neatly attached to his head.
Aninda could not see clearly who the man was, as the man looked up at the sky.
Aninda was about to get out of her seat because she felt uncomfortable when someone else approached her.
"O Allah, the stars and the moon adorn the sky tonight." Said the man while looking up at the sky.
Aninda's intention to move stopped instantly when Aninda heard the man muttering in Filipino. To his surprise, the man spoke the name of God very clearly.
"Say when the night is bright like this, and it is midnight that your angel comes down to earth. And I'll pray." The man spoke again, then closed his eyes.
Aninda turned her head as the man muttered again in excellent Filipino as if he was from the Philippines. Aninda tried to stare at the man and then she saw the man was very similar to Edgar.
'No way, he's not? Why do I even imagine his face.' He thought as he shook his head and repeatedly stared at the man he thought was similar to Edgar.
Aninda looked at the man again with a very careful heart. He saw everything from used sandals, sarongs, shirts, and peci. His tall body, chin, face and everything was indeed similar to Edgar. And that really made Aninda more curious.
'O Allah, with Sholawat over the Messenger of Allah, please give your guidance.' Said the man in his heart.
'If Aninda is my soul mate, allow me to justify it immediately, before I return to my country. But, if we are not a match, then let everything be like this. Don't let any communication happen between us until I get back to my country. Aamiin.' Say the man again in his heart.
"Edgar?" Call Aninda doubtful.
Aninda's voice made Edgar turn to look at his side. Where at that time the woman he called in his prayer stood there staring in wonder at him.
"Sorrys. I thought you were someone I knew." Aninda.
He was about to turn around, after feeling that the man was not Edgar.
"Aninda? Is that you?" Edgar asked when Aninda had turned her back.
Aninda remained silent. 'That sound was Edgar's voice. But why is he wearing it like that? Or am I hallucinating?' His murmur spoke in the heart.
"She!" Call Edgar again.
Slowly Aninda turned around and looked again at the man standing in front of her. Aninda's gaze looked clearly like a confused person.
"Aninda. It's me Edgar." Edgar hesitated.
"Aaoah, yes. But, why are you.." Aninda pointed at the clothes Edgar was wearing.
Edgar smiled. "I am a Muslim now." Evidently.
Aninda smiled bitterly. 'Muslims? When did he become Muslim? Reyna did not even say that Edgar had become a Muslim.' The scales of Aninda in the heart.
"Oh, please don't misunderstand me. I was Muslim a year ago." Evidently.
'Oh, it seems like a long time ago. Welcome to Ed. May God always guide your steps. Aamiin.' Do it in the heart.
