When Aninda Falls in Love

Episode 43

After his relationship with Aninda ended, Edgar became a workaholic. He took all the work offered to him without regard to the payment he would receive.

"Ed, this job is exhausting. After all, the pay is not worth it." Ale, who disagreed with Edgar's decision, accepted the job offer at a very minimal price.

"I don't care." Answer Edgar.

"What's up Ed? Why are you so crazy about working like this. Did something happen between you and Aninda?" Ale asked suspiciously.

"Yes. We decided to split up and live each other's lives." Answer Edgar casually.

He looks relaxed and ordinary. That might be what people see. But, Ale could see clearly, that Edgar's wound this time was much deeper than the one he had left when his wife left him at that time.

People only saw Edgar look happier after breaking up with Aninda. And vice versa, people see Aninda look happier after ending up with Edgar.

Initially the news broke Aninda and Edgar made the fans at odds. They blame each other and vilify each other. Even many Edgar fans who berated and insulted Ainda. Likewise with Aninda Fans who blame and berate Edgar. But, after they saw Aninda and Edgar were fine, they stopped berating each other and chose to support their respective idols.

One year later, Edgar became an Asian star. He even got an offer to play movies and dramas in his home country.

"Ed, can't take a few days off work. Another day Liezel's birthday is coming up and she wants to celebrate with her Papa."

Reyna begged Edgar to take time off work.

"Poor Liezel, Ed. He misses you. She even cries more when she thinks you're not there on an important day for her." Babe Reyna.

"I know, work is very important. Ed works also for Liezel. But, Liezel doesn't need any of that Ed. Right now he needs Ed. He wants Ed to be next to him."

Edgar kept quiet. Yes, this is how Edgar went after losing Aninda. He even became far away from Liezel. He became very busy and even pretended not to miss Liezel. In fact, she misses her daughter a lot and wants to hug her. But, Edgar was too embarrassed and afraid to meet Liezel. He was afraid Liezel would ask Aninda, and Edgar had no answer to that question.

"Ed, answer? Can Ed take a leave of absence?" Ask Reyna.

Edgar still did not answer, he looked busy staring at the phone screen.

"Is Aninda that important, until Ed gets hurt like this and forgets Liezel!" Reyna in the end.

And that made Edgar look at Reyna. Edgar's look was foreign. The look was very sad and kept a deep wound.

"Ed was afraid, Ed was ashamed to see Liezel." Said in the end.

"Did Liezel never ask Aninda?" Ask Edgar.

"For what Liezel asked the wicked girl." Reyna was upset.

"Why does Reyna call Aninda evil?" Now it was Edgar's turn to not understand.

"It's Ed, forget the girl. He's just using Ed for his fame." Answer Reyna.

That answer made Edgar step closer to his sister.

"Why did Reyna say that? Who said Aninda like that?" Ask Edgar.

"Everyone. And that day I tried to contact Aninda and ask her all the truth about people. But, Aninda didn't answer him at all, and I guess that's the truth."

"Why is that the truth?"

"Because, if Aninda wasn't like that she would have answered my call and she would have spoken to me." Reyna.

Hearing that, Edgar sat weakly. He broke his face and breathed deeply.

"That's not the problem. Ed released Aninda. Ed's a coward." He felt guilty and sorry.

Reyna remained silent. He saw the look on Edgar's face that looked very hurt.

"Ed can't have Aninda. Ed is just a cowardly man who dares to love Aninda and seduces her into loving Ed, then after loving each other, Ed just wants to continue dating without daring to marry her. Aninda's a special woman, Aninda's a very nice woman, and Ed would only destroy her if Ed didn't take her off."

Hearing that explanation, Reyna sat on the floor with Edgar.

"I said a harsh word to Aninda. I said she's a woman who doesn't know thank you, I said a lot of bad things to Aninda." Reyna.

He was sure Aninda read all her vows back then. And yes, Aninda read it and cried at the time. Aninda deliberately only read and did not reply or explain anything, because for her, that way she would be easier to forget Edgar and all the Edgar family who treated her very well.

"I'm sorry Reyna, Ed. Reyna acted alone without asking Ed that." Reyna said regretfully.

Edgar hugged Reyna. She tries to calm Reyna down and finally her tears spill for the first time after losing Aninda.
