When Aninda Falls in Love

When Aninda Falls in Love
Episode 44

Two years passed.

Edgar is better. He became a successful man. He built his own service company. And he's been a good Papa to Liezel like he was.

Liezel's age is ten years. And Liezel is already a very smart princess in keeping her Papa feeling. Liezel has also never commented anything about the woman who was rumored to be close to her Papa.

Tok.dok…

Liezel knocked on her Papa's bedroom door. With no answer, he opened the door himself.

A sweet smile was seen on his lips. Slowly he stepped closer to his Papa who was prostrating on the prayer mat.

"Allaahu akbar." Said Edgar who rose from his bow.

Slowly Liezel sat down next to Edgar. He sat down following Edgar who was in final disgrace. Liezel also positioned his hand exactly like his Papa hand.

"Assalamualaikum Warohmatullah." Turned his face to the right.

Liezel followed. And when Edgar said his greetings to the left, he saw his little daughter also join the greetings and looked to the left. Then Edgar rubbed his hands to his face and was followed by Liezel.

A happy smile rose on Edgar's face. Then, he extended his right hand to Liezel. And without a doubt Liezel grabbed the tagan and kissed her.

"Where does Papa's daughter know about this?" Ask Edgar astonished.

"Did Papa forget that Liezel is now in religious school?" Ask Liezel.

Edgar nodded. "Liezel wants to learn to pray like Papa?" Ask Edgar curiously.

"Yes. And, next week Liezel was told to bring prayer equipment. But what are prayer supplies?" Ask the little girl.

Edgar smiled. He finally showed a picture of an Islamic woman praying.

"When praying, for women should wear clothes like this." Edgar explained.

Liezel nodded in understanding.

"It's okay if your son doesn't want to do something like this right now. Papa will tell the teacher."

Edgar tried to give his little girl some understanding. He did not want Liezel to feel forced and depressed because he had to follow him who had been a mu'alaf for almost a year.

"Liezel likes it, Pa. Liezel wants to." Vigorously.

"But, wearing all that would feel really hot." Edgar.

"No really. Liezel even tried to wear a head covering like Momy Aninda." He said his spirit without realizing he finally discussed Anida and still called her Momy.

"Ups." Liezel closed her mouth when she realized she mentioned Aninda.

Edgar just smiled. 'It turns out not only Papa who has not been able to forget Aninda. Liezel is the same.' His whisper in his heart.

After Isa prayers, Edgar invited Liezel to play in the night market. As promised, he'll ride the ringleader with Liezel on the weekend. And now it's time to keep the promise.

Ale, Reyna and Efran are also with them.

"Yeuy riding a lala prick. I like it." Shouted Liezel in excitement.

After the fire started spinning, Liezel began to discuss something serious with her Papa.

"Why did Papa finally choose Islam? Is it because Papa is going to marry Momy Aninda?" Ask Liezel.

The question surprised Edgar. Not because the question was too sensitive, but because it was as sensitive a question asked by a girl who was only ten years old.

"Did that question offend Papa?" Liezel asked feeling uneasy when she saw the expression on her Papa's face.

"No. Papa will answer." Edgar.

Slowly, he held his little girl's hands. His eyes sparkled staring at that cute face.

"First Papa had a dream, Papa lost Liezel. Back then in Papa's dream, an enormous fire surrounded Liezel who was crying in fear. Papa couldn't save Liezel back then. And the dream felt very real. Papa even dreamed almost every night for three months."

Edgar began to tell his daughter very carefully, so that her daughter did not misunderstand what she was going to tell.

"Papa wanted to ignore the dream, as long as Liezel was fine. But, one day papa was pensive. Just finished filming. And suddenly the fire burned all the filming locations, and filming equipment. Everything's burning. Papa panicked and tried to call the fire department, but, instead, some people were dressed all in white. They blew the fire together and the fire was extinguished." His speech.

"Is that a dream too?" Ask Liezel curiously.

Edgar nodded. "A dream that feels very real. When he woke up, Papa was actually on the set. Everyone gathered around Papa who had apparently fallen unconscious. And that's when an old man who was Muslim gave papa a glass of water. Surprisingly, the water was very sweet. Sweetness is not because of sugar, but sweetness because of something else." Edgar tried to remember.

"Then?" Liezel.

"Then, Papa felt better after drinking that water. And Papa came home in the car, and Papa's car just broke down. When Papa got out of the car, the old man who had given Papa a drink came again to Papa. He asked Papa to close his eyes and Papa saw two forked roads. The man asked papa to vote, right or left."

"And Papa chose the Left?" Ask Liezel.

"Yes. How could Liezel know?"

"Just guess." Smilingly.

"Yes, Papa chose the path to the left and passed through it. At the end of the road was a clear river. The name of the river is the Nile."

"Isn't it the longest river in the world?"

"Cinggo. Papa's son is smart."

"certainly. Then?" Still curious.

"Then he asked Papa to bathe in the river. After that, Papa woke up. And it was just a dream, too. When he woke up, he heard the voice of Azan. Papa's heart trembled violently, Papa felt so frightened that he shivered. Then, papa heard a strange voice that led Papa to ablution."

"Did Papa just say something at that time?"

"No. Papa was confused and kept crying. Until finally that night Papa came to the nearest mosque and told Papa's dream to the Imam of the mosque. Then he led Papa to recite the Shahadah. After that, Papa's heart was calm and Papa felt very happy. So-called. Thats enough. That's the end of the story." Her speech.

"Mmh, there's no chance Papa and Momy will be together?" Liezel asked with a disappointed face.

"Can't Papa just find another replacement for Momy?" Ask Edgar curiously.

"Never. No." Affirming while turning his face away from his Papa.

Edgar could only smile at his little daughter. 'Daddy's so happy to have you, son. Right now just the two of them are enough for Papa. And if indeed Aninda is written as a soul mate farul mahfudz for Papa, then he will Papa get. But, if it wasn't him, it would have been another Momy who would have accompanied us.' Say it in the heart.
