Keynan and Meira
Keynan was the only son of Kusnanto and Jasmine. Kusnanto Mahendra is a successful businessman and Jasmine is a housewife. Keynan's life looks so perfect in people's eyes. Keynan neighbors Meira, they have been friends since they were in elementary school. Meira is a tomboyish girl, cute but full of passion. Keynan and Meira have been very close since they were children. Keynan moved from Bali to Jakarta because of his father's business. When Keynan moved to Jakarta first his body was said to be quite fat because he was a hobby of eating besides that his parents also spoiled him. Keynan was bullied as a child, but Meira defended him until they became close friends. Meira motivates Keynan to lose weight by asking him to play
basketball and small sports. Keynan became fond of basketball. The more days Keynan became more confident with his appearance. Now that Keynan has grown up tall, sturdy and white, Keynan is good at playing musical instruments, especially the piano and he is also good at playing basketball.
Meira is raised by both parents so lovingly that she grows up to be a girl who
cheerful and full of spirit. Meira is very similar to her mother with a sweet face, slim body and fair yellow skin. Even though she is a tomboy, her appearance is still like a woman in general just that Meira has never been groomed. Meira loves her parents very much.
Jakarta, July 2000
Keynan unceasingly looked at the watch. He made a pact with Meira to go to school together
using a bicycle, today is the first day of school after a long holiday. Keynan sat on his bike waiting for Meira. They are currently in Class 2 High School. Impatiently waiting for Keynan to hit Meira's doorbell.

Meira came out in a hurry from behind the door of her house while chewing on the remaining bread
in his mouth, then opened the gate while giving a small nag to Keynan.
“Ihhh patient napa, I've just had breakfast, still early in the morning, did you already have breakfast?”
“Udah was breakfast a little, he said he wanted to leave early so I had breakfast little, I don't want to know
yes anyway later you have to treat me”, reply Keynan while giving a little joke to Meira.
“Ngga mau”, says Meira.
Meira positioned herself behind the bike sitting sideways holding the saddle. Meira patted Keynan on the back sign he was ready for the road.
“Let’s go”, says Meira.
Keynan began pedaling his bicycle down the residential compound's path to the school's path.
“Ra, you eat what the hell weight amat”, Keynan try to tease Meira.
“Not me who is heavy, your sins are mostly heavy”, Meira replied with a laugh. Meira is not
surprised by Keynan's behavior like this because Meira and Keynan have been friends since childhood, they often nosy with each other so no one offended.
Along the way they ridiculed each other while laughing until they finally did not feel them
we arrived at the school gate. Keynan played the bicycle bell.
Keynan parked his bike in a bicycle parking lot, then walked to class with Meira. Along the way to class they still remain nosy to each other until finally they arrive at class and some of his friends are already in class joking with each other.
“Ciiieee..couple of the year has come”, Very suddenly appeared from behind while embracing Keynan's shoulder. Very was a friend of Keynan and Meira since Junior High, Very sat down at a table with Keynan. Keynan
just smiling. Meira replying to Very's teasing.
“Jealous yes..!” meira said retali meledek.
“Iya Ra, I am jealous when dong departs with me, the time with Keynan mulu”, said Very.
“Makanya pick up to the house to leave with”, Meira returned to reply Very with a soft face.
Keynan and Very sat at their table. The corner table is a favorite for sleeping, while Meira
sit in the second row of the door. Meira sits at a table with Alya but her friend has not come.
“Key, basketball practice yuk later go home from school, he said there would be a basketball game between school months
September later”, whispered Very to Keynan.
“Today I want to go home with Meira”, Keynan said.
“Take Meira aja, he has not played basketball for a long time since entering SMA”, said Very.

The lesson hours have begun. Today is a chemistry lesson, Teacher explained in front while writing on the blackboard, some students took notes as well as Meira. Although Meira is not first rank but she is among the diligent students at least she is ranked 5th in her class, while Alya is her classmate ranked 2nd in the class.

The doorbell rang, Keynan was going to basketball practice with his friends, and Meira went home with his friends without speaking to Keynan.
