Student Strange 1: Tamaki HOSHI
The Power of Strange: Moon Head
Star Location: Nape
In my class, there was a bald student named Hoshi. Although bald, he is liked by many people because of his honest nature.
I'm sure everyone in the world would have told a lie. Whoever it is, must have told a lie. Parents never lie, teachers never lie, corruptors never lie.
Whoever it was—honestly whatever that guy—definitely never said a lie. Including me and you.
But not for Hoshi. This bald student of mine never told a lie. Ah, no, rather he COULDN't tell a lie. Hoshi could not tell a lie after he obtained a strange power.
Hoshi's strange power is: When he tells a lie, his head will shine.
The bigger Hoshi's lie, the brighter the light that comes out of his head. After being traced it turned out that the light came from inside his brain. But, so bright, the light was able to penetrate out.
So, every time you tell a lie, Hoshi will be found out.
According to research, the average human tells a lie eleven times a day. Apparently, the research is correct. Hoshi's head once shone suddenly while chatting with his friend. I often laugh when I see it. Every time Hoshi's head shone, his chattermate would shut up and immediately point at Hoshi's face, saying: ‘Hayoo, you're lying, huh?’
Hoshi always bowed in shame when he was caught lying.
Come to think of it, it seems difficult to live to be a Hoshi. He should always refrain from lying. Although it sounds trivial, not telling a lie is very difficult to do. Especially when his friends are working on it.
“Hoshi, do you like Sera?”
“No, I don't like it.” Hoshi's head didn't shine.
That means, he was honest.
“Then Maggiana?”
“No.”
“Then Nana?”
“No.”
Sera, Maggiana, and Nana noticed the conversation. They seem upset.
Hoshi. Not answering anything.
“Hey Hoshi, let's answer!”
“No. I don't like it.” Hoshi's head then shone.
The friends who were watching the conversation laughed out loud. Hoshi was embarrassed. Akemi seemed to be unconcerned. Hoshi is often bullied, but he is never bullied. Instead, Hoshi was the favorite student in this class.
Although it seems detrimental, on the one hand Hoshi's strange power can be useful at the right time. One of them was when I was teaching in the afternoon. Back then, the sky was so cloudy that the class went dark. I turned on the lights to make the class brighter.
“So, look at the kids. To get the X value you have to substitute it with the—” class light suddenly turns off. The room here is getting darker.
“Yes, because the lights are off, we have to stop for a moment until the lights come back on,” I said.
“Sensei!” Sera the most diligent disciple raised his hand. “How about we ask Hoshi to tell a lie? His head will shine, and this room will be brighter. So we can continue the lesson!” Sera gave her advice.
After saying so, Sera was stared intently at by the other students who were already lazy to study. Their gazes were like lions chasing their prey. But Sera looked fearless.
“Sorry, my voice is up. I can't tell lies anymore,” said Hoshi, his head instantly shining.
The light coming out of Hoshi's head made the whole room brighter. The person sitting next to him closed his eyes because of the glare.
“Yeaayy!!” Children cheering.
“Come Hoshi, say lie again!”
Hoshi grumbling. “I told you, my voice is out!”
Triing~
Hoshi's Head Shined.
“Yeaayy!!”
That afternoon, Hoshi's voice was completely depleted as he kept telling lies. The lesson was not continued, we were all engrossed in watching Hoshi's head shine brightly.
Our basic.
