Waiting At the End of Dusk

Waiting At the End of Dusk
The bitter truth

Mala and Dicko sat next to each other and Mala leaned her head on her husband's shoulder. Mala tried to convince her heart to tell her husband the truth.

"Mas, I'm not really a father and mother's son, actually" Mala said to Dicko's surprise.

"What, you're not father and mother's son? Then who are your real parents?" ask Dicko curious.

"His name is Shella, her sister is Bella" Mala replied.

"What, Bella's sister?" answer Dicko.

Mala told her husband everything. It was a surprise for Dicko. Dicko tried to calm himself down, because he should be able to be a backup for Mala at a time like this. He was shocked, especially Mala.

"Mas, I'm confused. Do you think I should be happy after knowing all this?" mala almost cried.

Dicko grabbed his wife's body and hugged her tightly, hoping that his embrace could bring calm to Mala's heart.

"Mas, how do I deal with it? When I found out, I was an unwanted child? I hate it mas," Mala said again.

"Dear, don't think too much. Just live it all patiently. There's not gonna be anything. Aren't you an adult, married and have Gala. So believe me things won't change" Dicko said.

"I don't want to know all this. I just want my mom and dad to be my real parents."

"Yes, for 25 years they took care of you. They take very good care of you. Who wouldn't want to be their child?" dicko said slowly.

"Mas, I don't want to make them sad."

"You won't make them sad, as long as you don't leave them."

"I'll never leave them. They are my mom and dad anyway."

Dicko hugged his wife's body, which began to cry. Dicko let Mala and hoped that after being satisfied with crying he would be happier and accept the reality of his life sincerely.

Meanwhile, Bella tries to contact her sister while she is abroad. Shella works as a clothing designer. She had been married before, but their marriage failed and ended in divorce.

Bella's mother always hoped that Shella would marry again, but Shella always refused because it turned out that she still could not forget her former lover, Reno. Reno is Mala's real father.

A week ago, her sister's number could not be reached. I don't know what happened to him. This made Bella very worried. He paced back and forth in the family room while clasping his hands full of anxiety.

Outside came the sound of Andra's motorcycle that had just come home. Andra was shocked when she saw her mother pacing around like she had a problem.

Did mom think about her problem with Mala? Didn't I say yesterday, even though Mala didn't say forgive mom, at least Mala wouldn't report mom to the police station? inner Andra.

Andra approached her mother slowly fearing to surprise her mother.

"Mother, what's wrong? Why do you look so worried?" ask Andra.

"Oh...Andras. Have you gone home yet? Mother is confused. Shella has not been contacted for a week. Did he ever say he wanted to change numbers?" ask Bella.

"I don't think ma'am, what's important?" ask Andra curiously.

"Andra, sit. There's something I want to talk to you about" Bella said as she sat on the sofa.

"Mother, don't make Andra more curious" replied Andra as she followed her mother.

Bu Bella was silent for a moment while sighing heavily.

"Andra, don't be sad or disappointed after hearing what you're going to say."

"Andra, have you ever heard of your aunt, Shella having a child?" ask mother.

"Get up, and she settled abroad out of anger that Grandma had thrown away her child. Then what does that have to do with me?" ask Andra.

"Aunte Shella's son has now met," replied his mother slowly.

"What, who? where's the?" andra asked very excited because she would have a cousin.

"Mala," replied Ms. Bella.

"Mala. Why did Mom say her name? don't you like her?" ask Andra.

"Your cousin's brother is...Malas."

The mother's answer made Andra's heart seem to stop beating.

"Mom don't joke. Mom purposely said that so I don't love Mala anymore, right? Mum, stop. Don't, don't try again" Andra said sadly and disappointedly.

"Andra, I'm not kidding. Mala is indeed the biological child of Shella, your aunt. So I'm not making things up for Andra" Bella said seriously.

"So it's my cousin Mala?" andra replied as she stood up and left her mother.

Andra's heart was very sad and broken. The woman he loved so much was his cousin. The reality that Andra did not want to hear, but he could not erase fate if they were brothers even as cousins.

While the mother let Andra alone and gave him time to be able to accept the reality that you inevitably have to face. It must be very difficult for Andra to be able to change love as an adult male into brotherly love.

Andra reminisced about the past they had together. Their first meeting was so often spent time together. Ride the bike and even go to train to the motor racing arena where Andra trains.

Akh.aaarkh.

Andra's screams were heard coming out of her room. He hit the pillow on his bed with both hands. His heart ached and his chest tightened like a stone was blocking his breath.

Mala and Andra decided to take a walk around the park before returning home. But before they could stand up, suddenly came a little boy who was running and gave a code to them to be silent by sticking his index finger in his mouth.

Mala and Andra looked at each other before they smiled at the boy. The boy was hiding behind the bench they were sitting on.

Not long after, came a young woman who was looking for something.

"Excuse me, mas. You see a little boy running here?" asked the woman while panting.

"Little boy, is he your son? Why are you missing, or are you guys playing hide-and-seek?" ask Dicko.

"No. He's my employer's son. He is a bit naughty, likes to blur. I would have gotten mad at the lady and the master if they knew Dodi was missing" replied the woman, who was a baby sitter.

"We didn't see, did we? We were sitting here, but we didn't see any children passing by" Mala said.

Mala and Dicko looked at each other. They smiled while shaking their heads. But Mala's hand pointed to the back of the bench she was sitting on. The woman smiled and walked slowly to the back of the bench.
