Waiting At the End of Dusk

Waiting At the End of Dusk
The arrival of father and mother

"Mala."

A voice familiar to Mala. It was the voice of his mother, Sri's mother. Mala and Dicko were both shocked and immediately released their respective kisses. Mala stood up to greet her mother and father who had just arrived from the village.

"Mom, dad. Why not tell me first if you want to come? I can get the driver to pick you up" Mala said, kissing her father and mother's hands.

"Mom won't bother you. Especially if you are pregnant too. Just focus on taking care of your husband" said Ms. Sri.

"How's your husband doing?" ask Haris' father.

"Just crack, but it also takes time for the healing process" Mala replied.

Mala's father and mother approached Dicko, who looked a bit nervous when he was caught kissing. But Dicko tried to calm his own heart that he and Mala were married and kissing was natural.

"How are you feeling Dicko?" ask Haris' father.

"Okay dad, just cracked a little bit."

"Thank you for saving Mala and the baby" Ms Sri said.

"Mom, don't thank me. This is Dicko's duty as husband and father. Protect them with all my might" Dicko replied.

"You're right Dicko. I am amazed at your attitude. Men should have a sense of responsibility" Haris' father said.

"Dad, mom. Go home with Gala and aunt. Mala will stay here waiting for Dicko's mas," Mala said as she stroked Gala's hair in deep sleep.

"Mala, tonight let me take care of your husband. You go home with your mother. All of you want to talk to your daughter-in-law" said Haris' father.

"True Mala, you are currently pregnant. You have to rest a lot for the sake of the child in your womb," added Sri's mother.

"Yes, Mala. Let me accompany you tonight. Hopefully tomorrow we can go home" Dicko added.

Mala looked sullen because she felt the three of them compact to make Mala go home. Suddenly Andra and Bara appear.

Tok to tok.

"Come in" cried Mala.

Andra and Bara seemed to still be in a state of emotion and upset. But when Bara saw his father and mother Mala, he rushed to the two while changing his mood that had been upset to be gentle and polite.

"Uncle, aunt. When did you guys come? Why didn't you call me? Bara will be able to pick you up" said Bara while approaching his father and mother Mala.

Bara greets them and kisses their hands in honor because Bara already thinks of them like her own parents.

"It's only just arrived and we're straight here because there's no one at home."

"It looks like it's all here. Including the aunt, too," Bara said.

"Is the madam looking for me?" ask the aunt who just came in.

"Not really a bik? Where's the aunt from?" ask Mala.

"So when the aunt wanted to wait outside, she met the next-door maid who was on medication. He was talking to my mistress. Sorry," said auntie feeling guilty.

"Know also Mrs Dicko about ghibahin people," ledek Dicko with a laugh.

"Emange you ever ghibahin people? As far as I know he does not have a theme to be invited to ghibah," said Bara who also laughed.

Mala pouted spoiled hearing the words of her husband and Bara, especially because they both laughed at her. While Andra who had just been silent and stood up just felt like an outsider who did not need to join the Mala family.

Andra started to step back slowly without their knowledge.

"Who are you son, why did you just sit there and stand there?" ask Haris' father while pointing at Andra who immediately stopped his steps.

All eyes were on Andra who immediately stepped towards Haris father. Andra grabs Haris' father's hand and he introduces himself.

"I am Andra's uncle, her friend Mala," Andra said with a smile.

"Oh, this is Andra who saved Mala once? Well, it's been a long time uncle wants to meet and say thank you to Andra's son. Thank you for helping Mala" said Haris' father.

"No need to thank my uncle. That's all my duty as a friend of Mala."

"Friends?! Friends but love," said Bara meledek Andra.

"So your words, you are the same as me. You're no better than me" Andra said resentfully.

"Are you guys going to continue your fight here? Please if you have no shame in front of Mala's parents," Dicko said angrily at the behavior of two men who still love his wife.

Who would not be angry if he knew a man was fighting because of his wife. What they fought over while the woman was married. Dicko believed in Mala. Otherwise, Dicko and Mala would fight every day because of the two boys.

Now, Dicko sometimes likes to be jealous himself seeing the two people still love Mala. Like there are no other women.

"Sorry, Dicko. Bara started, I just serve it" Andra said in self-defense.

"Hey, did I start? Is not wrong, you are the one who is keen to seduce people's wives," said Bara did not want to lose.

"After all, what are you arguing about? It's a patient room," said Haris' father somewhat upset by their behavior.

"Sorry uncle" said Andra.

"Sorry uncle" said Bara almost simultaneously.

"Dad, don't be angry. Dad will be hurt. Don't put their hearts to it" Dicko said.

"You guys get out, there's no point fighting here. My husband needs rest" Mala told them that despite their efforts, Dicko was the main one for Mala.
