What a great mother

Armed with the information he got from the administrative staff, Joshep visited the area where Paula currently lives, it just so happened that he was getting a holiday because the senior doctor who had been out of town for a few days and his duties were replaced by him has now returned, so he has a long spare time to find out Paula's life now.

Not far from there, a board-walled house like the others in white is visible, only the only whitewashed house at the end of the road there, so Joshep is sure if it is Paula's residence, the house, even more vaguely seen Kevin who was sitting on the porch of his house watching other children who were playing running around.

Out of nowhere, Joshep got out of his car and walked closer to the direction where Kevin sat staring at his playful peers, several times he laughed at the funny events that his friends did.

"Kevin!" Call Joshep, make the five-year-old boy turned to the voice that called him, so cool he did not realize if Joshep had been beriri nearby.

"How are you doing?" Ask Joshep while sitting on the porch next to Kevin.

"Okay, Doctor!" Answer it innocently.

"Don't call me sir, just Doctor." Pinta Joshep felt a bit irritated by the call that was too much for her.

"Where are your parents? I want to ask why they've forcibly repatriated you, while you should still be in our care." Joshep's eyes scanned the surroundings looking for the whereabouts of Paula that had not been seen since.

"My condition has improved, my mother only works in a mini market, sometimes she is also a laundry worker in the house of the rich, while my father, working in the oil palm plantation outside the island, is, who come home once every three months, they don't have money for hospitalization, I don't want to make it difficult for them." The boy told me about his parents.

Joshep's heart feels sore to hear Kevin's story about how difficult they are to live life, but back then it has become Paula's choice, she prefers to live hard compared to living with him first.

"Mother in the mini market near the market, today's mother's day shift, so at 10 pm will just go home" replied Kevin, the boy who was matured because of the circumstances was like he was used to living his difficult life.

"Who should you be with at home?"

"Alone, I'm used to it and it's fine, I'm a man and I'm big enough, Doc. So I've never been afraid of being alone." Lightly relaxed.

Joshep smiled bitterly at the freshness of the boy who had blue beads like him, while Paula's eyes were bright brown.

"Well Kevin, I came here just to make sure you're okay, don't say anything to your mom, so she doesn't worry." Kill Joshep so that the boy does not tell his mother about his arrival to this place, it would be better if Paula did not know, Joshep thought.

"You don't play with them?" joshep asked when he saw how much Kevin wanted to play with his peers.

Kevin shook his head, "My heart is broken, doctor said, if I'm tired, my illness will recur, I don't want to make my mother sad, so just watching them play I'm very happy, mom promised me that one day she would buy me a new heart so I could run around with them and not miss school because of exhaustion, but my mother said the price of a new heart was very expensive, and I had to be patient, but my mother was a person who never broke a promise, I believed she would definitely fulfill her promise to me, she said, she's the greatest mother I have." Kevin was proud of his mother.

Joshep returned a sore smile, saying in his heart, 'Yes, she is indeed a great mother to you, but she is not a great wife to me.'
