The sky above Jakarta is dark. The moon is full and bright. Kayla came out of a library building feeling heavy. The girl had spent several days in the library, struggling with various thick books that became one of her favorite activities.
Her task today was done, the girl accelerated the footsteps wanting to get home soon and sleep as much as she could.
Kayla deliberately some days not bring her own car, she just wants to change some daily routine.
His feet paused for a moment in front of the coffee shop in the building next to the library. The girl was thinking about buying coffee. Kayla turned her body against the shop's large glass window. From the outside, from her standing position, Kayla could see the coffee menu written on a large board in the restaurant, on a long table there was a waiter.
Hmmm, his kayak of warm espresso was delicious too, he said inwardly.
The girl reached into something in her sling bag, the girl had a habit of putting change in a separate bag. Sometimes the amount exceeds the cash in his wallet.
Also true! Kayla lowered her head to count the money in her hands, some of the money in her hands. More than enough! thought he was satisfied.
Kayla looked back at the menu. Dikaca, the board where the menu was seen was no longer there. Instead there was a shadow of Clara's face there.
Kayla shouted without a sound. His voice choked on his neck. The girl quickly twisted her body, her breath hunting, her hands clenching. Clara stood half a meter away in front of Kayla, looking at Kayla with anger. Hundreds of thoughts floated in Kayla's head.
"Kayla," Call her. His voice unexpectedly sounded soft.
"Sorry I don't mean to surprise you. I was gonna call, but I'm afraid you're going."
Gone off? His words gave Kayla an idea. As fast as lightning the veiled girl moved to run away leaving Clara.
"Kylas." Clara's hand suddenly grabbed Kayla's arm. Soft but sturdy.
"Kayla please don't go, I want to talk." Clara's hand held Kayla back from running. Kayla tries to get away without making people on the street suspicious, but can't.
The girl was too strong to hold Kayla's hand. If Kayla wants to get away from him, it looks like Kayla has to make a fuss here.
"Okay I'm off, but please don't run. I really want to talk to you." Pinta Clara's. His hand grip loosened.
"What are you talking about?" Kayla's voice raspy. "Don't you give me an invitation?"
Clara's hand held off suddenly. The girl smiled. His face paled under the street lamp.
"Gue doesn't want to talk about it, but because you discussed it first so I better tell you." Clara smiled wryly, looking down at Kayla. His soft words from just a moment ago had already disappeared without a trace.
"What do you want to talk about?" Kayla asked casually, making Clara grieve cynically.
"What is your relationship with Han?" Clara asked firmly, her hands folded in front of her chest.
"Ukhuwah Islamiah.the brotherhood of fellow Muslims." Kayla replied more casually, Clara sighed. Conversation does not seem like the right choice to solve the problem.
"What was your relationship going through?"
Kayla sighed, she was already too tired. Already unable to face the unimportant question that was thrown Clara.
"Claras. Whatever my relationship with Ray's brother was, it was just a matter of course. And now we have our own path. He's your fiancee now, so there's no reason you should know our relationship was past."
Kayla steps away from Clara, but again the girl holds her hand.
"Gue ain't done talking, you got no manners?!" Clara snapped, making some passersby stare in wonder.
"Sorry Clara, I have to go home." Kayla remained calm, though there was a slight annoyance at her due to Clara's stubbornness.
"Gue ain't finished Kayla!"
"Gue wants to see you for a reason" Clara said.
Kayla did not react.
"Sway Han!"
Kayla was not sure whether to laugh at Clara's stupidity, or just scold her right away. Finally, Kayla chose to laugh.
Clara stood in front of him tensely. Lips vibrate. When he opened his mouth, his voice trembled and raspy.
"He doesn't want to forget you..."
Kayla doesn't know if Clara clearly knows how her relationship with Rayhan was, and what their reason for being. Kayla was also unsure if the sage had said that to Clara. So Kayla just waited for the girl to continue whatever business she wanted from Clara.
"He doesn't want me to be with him..."
Clara's eyes looked at Kayla but her gaze was hollow. The eyeballs were foggy and full of sadness. The more he spoke, the more bitter his sentence became. Clara who is usually full of spirit and always ready to spread her dander to every man around her. Her usual face was always neatly polished make-up, her hair was dyed blonde was always beautifully draped, her body was always covered in the fragrance of expensive perfume. The choice of dress is easy to predict: short and open.
But Clara who now stands in front of Kayla almost can not recognize him. The only similarity between Clara now and the other day is that they both look equally rich.
"He doesn't care about me.." Fizz Clara.
The longer Clara's been looking sad. After the match, Kayla thought she would be happy to be with Rayhan. Puja man. But in fact now, he's here, in front of Kayla, looking really miserable.
If Kayla remembers the pain of losing the man she loves she should feel victorious and happy. But Kayla felt something sharp and bloody in her heart. The wound in Kayla's heart was still gaping, but now she was forced to look at the person who was the cause of the wound in her heart crying full of pain. Clara sobbed as if Kayla and the world did not exist.
"What do you really want, Clara?" Ask Kayla at last. Kayla was getting impatient, her cold night was already making her so exhausted.
Clara took a deep breath. Then he looked at Kayla.
"Gue told you, I want you to stay away from Han."
"Clara, let me explain again..," Kayla put on as blank a face as she could. "You don't have to worry about that" Without being able to hold back again, Kayla added.
"I realized that I was just part of the past, and then I could never be part of the future." Kayla thinks her words make Clara happy, but Kayla is wrong. Clara pointed at Kayla angrily.
"Liar!"
"What?!"
"Lo thought I didn't know, I saw you guys!" Clara's breath was down. "Gue saw from the beginning lo and Han. You two are at the lake, so romantic!"
Kayla bit her lower lip, so that surprise would not come out of her mouth.
"You misunderstood Clara."
"Lo said you want to stay away from Han?" Clara quipped sharply. "Well! You can't wait to meet him and hug him. Wait for him there, right?!" Clara tipped sharply.
Anger broke out from within Kayla's chest, and without Kayla noticing her hand was raised. Kayla slapped the girl as hard as she could. Clara suddenly moved back and shouted, "The target of a bitch!"
"Astagfirullah. Watch what you say, Clara."
Clara's eyes grew. He made a forward movement, Kayla brandished her finger. Clara's face.
"Don't try!" Threat Kayla. Clara again chuckled cynically, then stared intently.
"You're Ray's fiancee, she'll be yours. And I will never disturb your relationship!" Kayla stepped back and planned to leave. Suddenly Clara pulled her long hijab.
"Lo won't take him away from me?!" Clara Screams. "Gue won't get anywhere near Han!"
"I have no intention of getting close to Ray, you think too far Clara. Please don't misunderstand." Kayla slams into Clara's hand, which grips her hijab.
"So what do you do with Han in the lake, huh? You think I'm a spidic?"
"As far as you are Clara, obviously I have no intention of taking Ray's brother. Enough God who rules, if you are the same brother Ray is indeed a match then you will be together. And God willing, I do the best for you."
"But remember Clara, there's someone out there who's always fighting for Ray's sister. Through the chanting of prayers in one third of the night. And one always prays that Allah will bring them together as lawful partners. I hope you are careful, the power of prayer is stronger than material power and ambition. I say goodbye, Assalamualaikum."
