Two Ribs

Two Ribs
#3 The lebaran

Echoes of takbir reverberate where. I'm with Mia's sister helping mom cook. My mother forbade me to cook myself. But my mom kept pushing and said back

"Mommy's still alive, mama's cooking for you. If mama's not around, you'll miss mama's cooking"

Finally Brother Andi sent his wife to help us. The living room is ready to receive guests. I've arranged my sister Mia's pastries on the table. And in the living room I have arranged our long dining table to arrange the dishes that are being cooked by mama.

Mr. Bang Handi and Kakaf went to the mosque, to gather with our mosque managers and villagers, to conduct a tour of the village after prayers.

And Azwa, she's been in her stroller ever since. If I go to the kitchen, the stroller moves into the kitchen. Similarly, if I go to another room, the stroller also I push along with my steps.

"Oh, the laxative. It's being kept in here"

Alif came with his children.

"Follow cook him that. Kiss her body odor. It already smells of soto spice"

Mama chimed in while busy making potato wedges.

"So don't bring ya de, let him see the takbir around"

Brother Alif lifted Azwa from inside the stroller.

"Dikasih same jacket headgear de"

Mama was screaming back. I went into the room, took Azwa's jacket and little headscarf.

"Well, it's beautiful to wear a hijab"

Brother Alif kept kissing the second rubble of Azwa's cheek. I handed Azwa's milk pacifier to her youngest child, Alif. They also headed to the mosque.

"Aliff.." Mama was screaming back

"Yes Ma"

"Do not go near the same people who were nabuh drumming and playing firecrackers".

"Yes ma, Alif knows too"

After the death of Kak Alif who brought Azwa to enjoy the night of Lebaran, I returned to the kitchen, helping Kak Mia by spending the emping that was in the fry.

"Hide the emping from Izal, even this youngest who sits sweetly here"

I just smiled sweetly.

"Oh yeah, finish the cake"

I went into the room too. Take a jar filled with my favorite leaf-shaped nastar cake.

"Let's make it again, sister, I think it's finished tonight's cake"

"Sister mo pulkam used to de"

"Oh yeah? when's brother palkam?"

"Fourth only. The third leaflet you are busy receiving guests. Many of my friends will come"

Me and Brother Mia were silent for a moment. Brother Mia is a kind of obedient daughter-in-law. Never denied mom. Therefore Mama is very close and dear to Brother Mia.

Before long we heard the voices of many people shouting takbir. Yes Takbir around the village has started. I also rushed to the front of the house to see how many small children and teenagers in this village wearing cocoa clothes and carrying torches. Including his son Kak Alif and Kak Andi who indeed their residence is only different from RT with the father's house. They were all waving at me standing at the door, including a toddler in his laxative. I smiled back at their wave. The toddler did not continue his march but turned into the fence of the house.

"Cerewet brother?"

I took Azwa from Kak Alif's sling.

"Ndak, it's smart for this laxative. Murdered Father, told to take it home. The wind said father. Handi and Izal laughed happily seeing my brother scolded my father"

I also laughed a little. I can imagine Kakaf's happy face. If Bang Handi is the most followed. How dare he mock Brother Alif, his eldest brother-in-law.

I went back to the kitchen to secure my nastar jar before I saw Kak Alif.

"Ma, Sister Mia, Ade put Azwa to bed first"

"Don't go to bed, haven't fried the cake yet"

Brother Mia gave me a fist code.

"God willing.." I reply to Kak Mia's code with my tongue sticking out.

I am closer to Mia than my other sister's wife. It was also sister Mia who was mediating so that Brother Andi was willing to help me get married. With Brother Mia I feel like I have an older sister. Brother Mia sincerely loves and cares for me like her husband cares for and loves me. My other brothers are good too. But not as good as sister Mia hehehe.

------------------------

First Ied prayer for Azwa. Azwa fell asleep between my seat and Mia's. We pray ied in our village mosque including mama. Mom sat in the front. The VVIP part if I told you with Sister Mia. We sat in the back row. I was afraid Azwa was fussy, so I decided to take a back seat instead.

After the ied prayer as usual, the Father sat on the chair, Mama kissed the hand and apologized to the Father, after which Mama sat next to the Father. The first turn was Brother Alif and his wife, until my turn as the last child. Just followed by nephews. From Alif's oldest son to Azwa's smallest. And the most awaited by the nephews is the distribution of the Eid envelope. I also distributed the envelope. Although the content is not much, what matters is the happy face of my nephew.

All of our lebaran routines as usual, which is different only this year there is Bang Handi and Azwa. We finished forgiving and ate together. After that Kak Alif and Kak Alfian said goodbye to his father-in-law's house. And I was also getting ready for my sister-in-law's house.

Kak Andi's wife is from the upper reaches of the river. They will return home after the second Eid. So every Eid, Mia's loyal sister accompanied Mama at home to welcome guests. If Kakaf, this year is single, there are no in-laws hahahha

There was no awkwardness whatsoever in our widening this time. We are all happy to have a good day.
