“Stop here, Mang!”
As per Bayu's decree, Mang Ule stopped his car right on the side of the road.
“Gotly, where is the shaman's house, Bay?” I asked because I didn't see any houses around here. As far as the eye can see, it is only complete.
“House is behind the grave,” replied Bayu while pointing towards the left.
“What?! So it's a grave?!” exclaim Mela, "you are the real dong, Bay. Our time is told through the middle of the grave is malem-malem gini,” he continued later.
“Udah, relax. I temenin until this lewatin grave,” reply Bayu, "let's go, hunt down from the car and start the road,” he continued. We got out of the car and started walking.
“Mang Ule in front!” tell Mela.
“Lah, how come I? I don't know where to go, Non.” Mang Ule objected.
“Udah, later I indicate Mamang should go where.” Bayu. Finally, Mang Ule resigned to be in the front row. Mela in the second row. Bayu and I are at the back. In concert.
“Come, Mang, keep walking this way!” Bayu shone the flashlight forward. We started walking down the path in the middle of the cemetery. The left and right sides have a lot of old gravestones. There are many large trees growing between the tombs as well as shrubs.
“Ran, highlight the flashlight in arahin to ngapa street. It was even highlighted to and fro. Dark, nih,” protest Bayu. When I point the flashlight to the left and right side of the road. Curious about what figure had been ngintilin.
“Bay, what do they want?” ask me in a whispering tone as a zombie-like figure grows more and more. All following from the left and right sides there is also a person at the back as if he is escorting us. And there are also those hovering in the air.
“You can see them?” ask Bayu. I was twitching on his arm as one figure slid closer and closer.
“Yes, I can see them. After the accident I had, Bay.”
“You are calm, yes, Ran! They usually just make sure we don't do anything at this tomb. Later after this grave area we managed to pass, usually they do not follow again.”
“Mel, Mang Ule, why stop?” I asked when I found them both standing.
Mang Ule turned around slowly facing towards us. Then pointed at us, his eyes blank. “Go from here!” he shouted, but it was not Mang Ule's voice.
“Mang Ule why?” asked Mela to move back and immediately crumpled in my arms.
“Looks like he was possessed,” says Bayu, "I tried to neutralize first, yes,” he continued.
However, Bayu instead bounced and caused one headstone to collapse. “The figure is too strong, Ran. I can't handle myself,” said Bayu while trying to stand up and grimacing in pain.
“Ya already, I help,” bargain me.
“I don't want to be alone. You're here, Ran,” whined Mela while blocking my arm.
“Please Mang Ule, Mel. You just calm down, yes, stay here while continuing to read the prayer. Okay!”
“Ran,” whining Mela refused to let go of her check.
I let go of Mela's check and then walked forward to approach Mang Ule who was still roaring and shouting to drive us away.
“Quiet! Whoever you are inside Mang Ule's body, come out! We just want to ride through will not do anything here,” I said while pressing Mang Ule's big toe.
“No! I'm comfortable here,” said the figure who possessed Mang Ule's body. The next moment his laughter broke. The feathers bristled at once hearing his laughter.
“This figure can not be softened, we have been roughin aja!” Bayu. I nodded then began to chant a prayer and took out the figure that was inside Mang Ule's body forcibly.
“Mang!” call me.
“Yes, Non,” is weak.
“This Mamang, ‘kan?”
“It is, Non Rania, who else?” the mouth is still weak, “aduh, this is why my head is so dizzy, yes, Non? What happened to me, Non?”
continued.
“Mamang is okay, really. Oh yeah, how is it? Now what do you feel?”
“Mual, Non Rania. I want to vomit" he replied.
“Yes already, go out, Mang. Let's lightly.” Mang Ule then slightly moved away from before us and pulled out his entrails.
“Where, Mang? Already done?” I asked when Mang Ule finished removing his entrails.
“Ya already, let's go again!” bring Bayu.
“Come Mel, walk again!” Mela Langasung walked in the front row. Mang Ule is now in second place. I'm third and Bayu's in the last row.
The more it went inside, the atmosphere was getting gripping. His tomb is partially covered in shrubs that look only a little roof. The wind suddenly blew violently flying the dry leaves that were on the path we passed. The village adds to the increasingly gripping impression. The flashlight we were holding suddenly flickered and finally died.
I tried to tap the flashlight, but still wouldn't turn on either.
“Nyala, no?”
“Enggan, Bay.”
“Try here,” pinta Bayu. I gave him a flashlight. Bayu tapped the flashlight into his left hand and twirled his glass.
“Mel, Mang Ule!” call me, but they both won't. My feelings are starting to get bad.
“Bay, sprawl! Mela same Mang Ule kok not visible, yes.”
“The name is also dark, Ran, yes, look no.”
“But called also not nyahut, you are also horrified, ‘kan?”
“Maybe they're scared, Ran.” Bayu is still trying to fix the flashlight, “iya, ‘kan, Mang Ule!” continued. But Mang Ule did not say. “Mela!” call him again. Silent.
“Tuh, right, no one's upset, Bay.”
“Mang Ule, Hello! Don't joke, dong!” exclamation Bayu. “This flashlight wants what, anyway?!” Bayu annoyed slammed the flashlight to the ground, and miraculously even lit up.
“Lah, it's on!” myrag.
Bayu again picked up the flashlight. “From earlier, cake!” his gerrick.
Then point the flashlight towards Mela and Mang Ule. It should be in front of us, but where are they lost?
Me and Bayu looked at each other. “Bay, where are they going?” my whiskey. Bayu. Then shone a flashlight around, but Mela and Mang Ule were invisible. There are only platters covered in shade and shrubs. There was also a very large tree on my left side of the flower falling down on us both.
About ten meters from where I and Bayu were standing there was a banyan tree that was much larger than a twin tree. His tendrils were blown by the wind as if waving. Sometimes the sound of an owl. The atmosphere was increasingly gripping when suddenly the fog came to blanket this grave area. The flashlight became blocked by the fog could not reach long distances.
“Mela!”
“Mang Ule!”
Bayu shouted Mela's name, while I called Mang Ule. Repeatedly, but there was no word from the two of them.
“What happened to them, Bay?” Bayu only shook his head weakly.
“We have to search them around this grave, Ran.”
There was no other choice, I followed Bayu's advice. We started moving around the grave while continuing to shout the names of Mela and Mang Ule. However, up to half the cemetery area we managed to trace, Mela and Mang Ule have not seen the trunk of his nose.
“We try to check there!” Bayu pointed towards the old tomb under the shady tree. I nodded. Then drill behind him.
My steps stopped when I felt this leg humming something. “Bay!” call me, Bayu stopped his steps and turned towards me.
“What's up?” tanyakanya. I pointed under my feet not daring to look at it. Bayu then directs the flashlight highlight to the object I pointed at.
“That's Mang Ule, Ran!” yells. I also began to open the eyes that I had originally closed, and it was true that I accidentally kicked Mang Ule's legs. Bayu then approached and examined the mondisi Mang Ule lying unconscious in between the lined tombs.
“Mang Ule! Conscious, Mang!” Me and Bayu kept trying to resuscitate Mang Ule.
Finally Mang Ule looked up and opened his eyes slowly. After his eyes opened, he immediately shuffled to sit and scream in fear then stood up and ran in no direction.
“Mang Ule, it's me Rania and Bayu!” my yelling.
“Mang, stop!” yelled Bayu while pulling my arm to run chasing, but Mang Ule just kept running away. Until finally the flashlight in Bayu's hand can no longer reach the existence of Mang Ule.
“Bay, stop first, Bay! I am tired,”, I asked in between breaths of breath after running between rows of unkempt tombs. Bayu stood beside me, we stopped for a moment. Bayu continued to shine a flashlight around to find the whereabouts of Mang Ule or Mela.
“Where? Ready for another trip?” I nodded at the question Bayu asked. Then we resumed the search.
“Aaak!” my screams when I felt someone was twisting my leg so that it made me fall face down into a tombstone.
