Chapter 12: Achievement

Dom is 7 years old.

Octo opened something from the cloth containing food that is so good, ranging from meat, bread to fresh fruits. As Dom lived in this world, he very rarely got something like that, so it made him very happy.

“Woaaaah, is this for me uncle?” ask Dom.

“Of course, because this is a special day for you .. happy birthday Dom,” Octo said with a smile.

Suddenly from behind Dom's house, many shouted something towards Dom.

“Happy birthday Dom,” shouted the villagers.

"Loh ...," Dom was silent for a moment.

The people of Pyro Village smiled cheerfully to Dom, including Octo always with him at all times.

Why do I cry .. when I have only known them for a few years, but it feels so warm.

"Why are you crying, son? Is something wrong?"

“It looks like you enjoyed today don't you, Dom?” asked Richard who was waiting for Dom.

“It wouldn't be fair if I didn't give you something.” Richard took something from the closet.

Unbeknownst to Dom, Richard had prepared a gift long before Dom's birthday. It's just, he's waiting for the right moment and now it's time. Richard then walked over and hugged Dom.

“Happy birthday, son,” said Richard in a soft tone.

“Hey come on, I just cried earlier,” said Dom who let out his tears again.

“Hahaha well, this is a gift from me, it is not much but please take good care.”

Is that a necklace?

“That's my son Hawk's necklace, but he's long gone. Since you've been considered a family, I'll give you the necklace. Take good care.”

Dom could only smile while crying because he knew that this was a very precious thing for Richard.

“Thank you very much.” Dom hugged Richard.

“Are you not satisfied after hugging many people today?” said Richard who actually likes to be hugged.

As long as I know you somehow I always want to be around you, grow up to be a strong child ... Dom.
