*luxury mansion

After a long journey, the car that Mr. Romanov was riding finally arrived at his luxurious mansion.

Paul went down first to open the door for the master. Several servants came and rushed over to retrieve Mr. Romanov's luggage, which was still left in the trunk of the car, because other items have been brought first by the bodyguards since the airport earlier.

"This money hasn't changed much." Mr. Romanov looked at the building before him moments after he got out of the car. "Did Xander not do any renovations?"

"No sir. Young master Xander just asked me to always update the paint on the wall, so it doesn't look outdated" explained Paul trying to explain.

"So there's no renovation of the building?" ask Mr. Romanov again. He was actually a bit surprised, because this building is still exactly the same even the location of the statue has not changed at all.

Paul shakes. "Actually Mr. Xander always said that the building of this mansion has been very good and does not need any renovation, sir."

Mr. Romanov smiled.

He understood why Xander had no intention of doing any renovations to the building during the five years he was away.

During this time, he and Xander always had the same taste about many things. And one of Xander's tastes that are very similar to him is about the building of this mansion. Xander always told Mr. Romanov that this mansion was the best masterpiece made by his grandfather. Mr. Romanov knew that Xander had fallen in love with the building, as well as Mr. Romanov himself. That's why Xander wouldn't be willing if there was even the slightest change to this mansion.

Mr. Romanov then circulated his gaze, staring at the area around the mansion. His sight then stopped at his beloved garden.

"How about the garden? What's the location of this plant in my beloved garden ever changed, Paul?" mr. Romanov asked again without taking his eyes off the garden.

Paul looked at the park nearby and shook his head. "No sir. Mr. Xander also forbade us to change anything in his garden and have to wait until you get home if you want to change any location. Mr. Xander says the garden belongs to the master and only Mr. Romanov can change the location of the plant."

"Is that so?" mr. Romanov smiled and shook his head slowly. "Xander's overreacting on this mansion."

Paul then laughed a little. "I feel Mr. Xander might go berserk if we dare to move something, even if it's just a pebble, sir."

Mr. Romanov gave a loud chuckle that made some servants who were near them turn their heads and smile. "There are you guys. Xander wouldn't have possibly done that ridiculous thing. But this park is always cleaned and tidied up, right?"

Paul nodded. "Yes, the gardeners clean the garden once a week."

"Good then." replied Mr. Romanov. He then glanced at the clock on his wrist and turned to the servants standing nearby. "Have Xander and Charlotte arrived yet?"

One of the few servants then shook his head. "Master and young lady are not here yet, sir."

"They don't know yet that I arrived early, do they?" mr. Romanov narrowed, looking at the servant full of probing.

"Not yet sir, but Mr. Xander had a phone call and said that today Miss Lottie is on a photo shoot and will be here late."

"really?" mr. Romanov stared in disbelief, doubting the report from his subordinates. He looked at Paul, the assistant. "You've found out about this, haven't you, Paul?"

Paul turned to answer the superior's question. "Yes, sir, our spy told me that Miss Lottie doesn't have a single schedule today. Miss has even emptied her schedule for today."

"Hm..." Mr. Romanov smiled obliquely. "You're saying, Lottie doesn't have a single schedule today. So, that means they're lying, right?"

"Really sir! Our spies also say that this afternoon Miss Lottie and Mr. Xander went to one of Laurent's bars." Paul explained.

"Laurent? What do you mean Laurent from the Doshe family? Laurent Doshe?"

"Yes sir, right. " Paul smiled. "Mr Laurent Doshe, a close friend of Miss Lottie."

Mr. Romanov nodded in understanding. "Then let it go."

"Good sir."

Mr. Romanov then began to step up a row of steps leading to the main door of his luxurious mansion followed by Paul who walked behind him.

As soon as he entered the mansion, the servants were already lined up to form two long rows to greet the arrival of Mr. Romanov in their neat uniforms. They bowed their respect to the master whom they had not seen for a long time.

Paul lowered. "I've reminded them sir, but-"

"Sorry sir, but we just want to welcome you, sir." said one of the servants, bowing his head.

"Is that so?" mr. Romanov then sighed softly. "Then you go back to work!" strict orders.

Hearing the order, Paul immediately signaled to all the servants to obey the order of the master to immediately disperse.

"It looks like they really miss you, sir," said Paul, staring at the waiter's departure for a moment, and then looking back at the boss. "They told me they couldn't wait for you to come."

"They are also very eager to see the crowd in this mansion again" added Paul.

"Peace? Party, you mean?" guess Mr. Romanov.

Paul nodded then looked down. "Since your departure, this mansion has become very quiet sir, the crowd only comes from the many servants."

"But aren't there Charlotte and Xander? All right, for Xander I can understand, he hates parties. But Charlotte? That girl likes parties, right? He could have a party at this mansion."

Paul could only be silent at the superior's question.

Mr. Romanov raised his eyebrows next to his. "Didn't it ever?"

"Miss definitely doesn't like having a party in this mansion, sir. Because as long as Madame Marianne is alive, she's always throwing parties. I guess Miss Lottie just doesn't want to remember that time."

"You're right!" Mr. Romanov nodded. "But has he ever had a party?"

"To my knowledge, my lady only had a party in her apartment, sir." Paul bluntly.

"So all this time Charlotte really ignored this mansion?" mr. Romanov asked in a cold tone.

"Not so sir. Of course, miss came here. Even just a few days ago miss came to change the main car of the mansion."

"Don't try to defend him, Paul!" omel mr. Romanov. "Try you tell me how many times he's been here in a week?"

"Sorry sir." Paul lowered his head and let out his breath. "But misses rarely visit here. Only Mr. Xander always comes to talk to the servants."

Mr. Romanov shook his head slowly. "So, besides being difficult to contact, it turns out Charlotte also rarely come home here? It really is the boy."

Paul could only smile when he heard the boss's nagging. He was sure, after this Charlotte would be very upset with him because he had said many things to the grandfather.

"I will go to my office now and after that I will immediately prepare for dinner" Mr. Romanov said as he stepped into his study.

Paul nodded. "Do you want to take a shower, sir?"

"Yes!" mr. Romanov nodded." You ordered the waiter to immediately prepare hot water for me.  My body feels very sticky now." explained Mr. Romanov.

"Okay sir!"

"And Paul! One more thing." Mr. Romanov said, stopping the steps of Paul who was about to walk away.

"Yes sir?"

"You're setting up a security room. I'll be there later. I'll wait for the two brats from the security room alone, monitor their arrival from the cctv mansion."

Paul nodded. "Ready sir!"
