Night Office: Part 1
“You why are so moody tonight??” Ask Karin.
“Nothing, maybe the effect has not been payday.” Andre said while smoking his cigarette.
“Hahaha....” Karin laughs softly.
The two of them were sitting chatting casually in the warkop in front of the hospital. Andre occasionally smokes his cigarettes while waiting for the time to enter his night service at the Hospital.
“Whatever it is you have to work, for my sake,” Karin said.
In front of Karin, Andre did not respond, he just kept silent.
Suddenly Andre felt a great headache.
“Aaakh..” Andre said while taking the medicine that was in his jacket pocket.
He quickly swallowed 2 seeds, then drank the water on the table.
“That's what medicine??” Ask Karin.
“This is alanzapine and aprazdom, anti hallucination and anti depression drugs from doctor.” Andre replied while putting it back in his jacket pocket.
“You okay? You look exhausted,”
“I have been having a hard time sleeping lately, but you don't have to worry, I'm fine.’ Andre replies smiling as he touches Karin's hand on the table.
Karin smiles.
Andre and Karina have been dating for 3 years, they got engaged last month, and are planning to get married this month.
“Then, it's time for me to go home,” Karin said.
“You want me to drop off??” Andre Sahut.
“I can do it myself.” Karin slowly let go of Andre's hand touch.
“You be careful yes,” Said Andre.
Without replying to Andre, Karin then stood up from his chair, and left Andre alone.
Andre only smoked a cigarette, while enjoying his own time in the warkop.
A few minutes later he saw his watch, Andre then turned off his cigarette in the ashtray, and went to pay for his drink at the cashier.
“How much??” Ask Andre.
“Air Bottle Ahqua two and Coffee one, all 28 thousand,” The cashier replied.
“Owh yes wait.” Andre said while taking money out of his wallet.
“Hemm...please apologize sir, if you may know you are not tired of sitting alone??” That cashier's mouth.
“Maybe you didn't see me sitting with my fiancee.” Andre looked at the man behind the cashier's desk sharply.
“Oh yes sir apologize,” Say the man apologized while looking down.
Andre paid the cashier, then went out of the warkop, and walked into the hospital.
When he was about to enter through the entrance gate of the hospital, a security guard named Kasim who was at the guard post rebuked Andre.
“Andre, where are you going??” Legally.
Andre stopped his steps.
“I'd like the night service sir, in the ward room 1.” He answered while looking at Kasim.
“I think Mr. Andre should go home and rest.” Kasim walked up to Andre, then patted him on the shoulder.
“Father can't believe I'm on duty tonight??” Andre said with a raised voice.
“Not that I do not believe sir, but Mr. Andre looks less healthy, better father go home.” Said mr. Kasim.
“But sir..”.
“Pak Andre please rest, business permission father later I report,” Cut pak Kasim.
Andre was silent.
Kasim then embraces Andre, and tries to take him out of the hospital grounds.
But Andre refused, releasing the embrace of Kasim sir.
“Sorry sir, I am a nurse, I have to do my duty tonight, and I cannot stop me.” Andre said with a sharp look at Kasim sir.
Regardless of the security guard he then walked in through the hospital gate.
Meanwhile, Kasim just looked at Andre from behind with a cynical smile.
Kasim took out his phone from his pocket and called a man.
“She's already in.” Said Kasim sir in a soft voice.
Andre continued to walk casually down the aisle in his nurse's uniform to ward 1, where he is at the service tonight.
As he passed the ICU, there were many people gathered trying to enter the room, some who pushed himself, cried, and others tried to calm themselves and those around him.
“Aaakh..” Sigh Andre while holding his head.
As he closed his eyes, pieces of shadows appeared, like an abstract image of a woman lying in the room, Andre tried to remember, but the more he tried, the more he tried, his head was getting more and more painful and he felt dizzy.
Andre shook his head, trying to remove the shadow of the nightmare piece in his head.
Suddenly his head did not hurt, he then continued his steps, walking slowly in the hospital hallway.
Moments later, Andre arrived at his room, ward 1.
Ward 1 room is an inpatient room for middle class patients, the room contains ten rooms, each room there are two beds in the order of rooms 1 to 13, the room is, only 3 rooms are used to store equipment.
Nurse station is in the middle of the room as a place where doctors and nurses monitor the patient's condition, keep records or medical records, and rest.
Seen a friend sitting at Nurse Station recorded in the patient's medical records, he is Ani.
Andre then walked over to Ani at Nurse Station.
“Assalamu aleikum,” Andre Said.
“Waalaikum greetings,” Ani replied.
“Andre, why are you here?” Ani asked as she fixed the position of her glasses.
“Why? Yes I am the night service, why everyone asks about the same thing,” Affirm Andre.
“Iya yes it is up to you.” Ani said while continuing her medical record.
“Owh yes, the nurse who was in service this afternoon has all gone home??” Andre asked while sitting behind Ani.
“Everyone went home first, hurry up, he said there was a Sunday night event,” said Ani.
“Tumben all go home fast,” Andre said.
Ani did not respond to Andre's words.
“Owh Yes, Which inspiration??’ Andre said as he took off his jacket and put it on the table.
Suddenly someone's voice screamed.
“Ilham is in room 7, she is handling a patient.” Answer Ani.
“Oh so...” Murmur Andre.
Moments later, Ilham walked out of the patient's room wearing gloves full of blood.
“Eh no Andre, How are you??” Her speech.
“Alhamdulillah well, that why is your hand full of blood?? Ask Andre back.
“It is usually the patient, a lot of rocking, the infusion hose is open, the blood spurts where.” Ilham answered while removing and throwing his gloves in the trash can that said infectious.
He then washed his hands in a watafel near the bathroom in front of Nurse Station.
“Many shake? Most in sawer are like patients, hahahaha.” Andre said with a laugh.
“Iya also, haha..” Says ilham, while walking up to Andre and sitting next to him.
“Oh Yes Ani patient how many??” Ask Andre to Ani.
Ani did not comment on Andre's question.
“Eh Ani do not need to be too serious, so do not get sleepy quickly.” Tegur Andre who then patted Ani's shoulder.
Ani did not budge, she kept her head down, paying attention to the patient's medical records.
Andre felt that there was something strange about Ani's attitude, his hands continued to tremble holding the medical record, and he also continued to sweat.
“Patient 3, relax Andre, tonight will be Sunday night, just relax.” Sahut Ilham, which made Andre to take his eyes off Ani.
“Oh just 3 yes,” Andre Said.
Suddenly Ani moved quickly straight into the bathroom.
“That's Ani why?” Asked Andre who was confused by Ani's attitude.
“Don't know, maybe a girl's business,” Says Ilham.
“That's your boyfriend, I don't know,” Andre meredek Ilham.
“Ya time let business to the bathroom I should know,” Reply Inspiration.
“Hahaha..” Andre laughs.
He then stood up, and walked towards room 12.
“Eh Andre where are you going?” Ask Inspiration.
“You change shoes first,” Answer
Andre slowly walked to the front of room 12, to save his shoes, then put on rubber toad sandals. Meanwhile, Ilham sat in the Nurse Station room and Ani was still in the bathroom.
However, Andre saw something strange. In the shoe storage area, there are 7 pairs of shoes, while those who serve only three nights.
